MY 4TH PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP

byTonyon 05/09/2017

This is my 4th purchase from this dealership dating back to 2011, when it was under a different name. I originally went in for a oil change on my 14 Maxima, and the furthest thing from my mind was purchasing a new vehicle. But I figured, while I was there, I might as well look around. I asked a salesman for the current brochure and although he couldn't find one, I will give him kudos for looking longer than I expected. We had small talk for about 10 minutes and I was introduced to an new salesman, Desmond, who Adam was showing the ropes to. We had a great general conversation, which eventually turned to the Maxima. We sat down, talked a little about price, no pressure, no hype. After a little bit of negotiation, we agreed on a price. Although they didn't have the color and model I was looking for, that didn't stop them for finding one in Chesapeake, VA. This morning Adam and Desmond drove down to the dealership and picked up the car and we finished the deal today in about 90 minutes. It was once again an extreme pleasure to deal with his dealership. A big shoot out to Adam and Desmond for a job well done! Keep up the good work.

Horrific experience! Avoid at all costs!

byCoastline7on 06/30/2017

My experience today with Leckner was abhorant. After speaking with the salesperson (Freddy) yesterday at length, and him assuring me they could come up with a better price than what was listed online if I showed up in person, I made the decision to take the day off work and drive the 4 hours to go try the vehicle. The car was full of trash, had multiple issues on the interior (broken mirrors, missing parts, etc). The salesperson the came back with a figure $5,000 over the original asking price which included things such as "cleaning/vehicle prep fee". Would not recommend this dealership to ANYONE!!!!!

BEST NEW CAR PURCHASE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD

The best new car purchase experience that I have ever had. Mike Pennetta provided me with 5-star customer service, as did Jamie Modesitt the finance manager.

Bill Ridgeway

byTheKipperon 04/30/2017

I had the pleasure of working with Bill Ridgeway in the process of buying my new Nissan Rogue. He was very patient and informative. I never felt pushed into anything or uncomfortable. He helped when I asked for it and gave me my space when I needed it. I'd work with him again in a second. Thanks again, Bill!

Making Friends

bySara Barfieldon 04/08/2017

I knew exactly the top 5 "must haves" when conducting an internet search for a used Sorento. When I found the car and contacted Alan, the sales manager, he got on the phone and worked with my USAA insurance car buying department. I discovered that the Leckner Dealer not only nailed the top 5 "must haves", but was a cooperating USAA dealership. You have to be really good to be a USAA cooperating dealership! The next day I visited the Leckner Dealership and was greeted by Alan who immediately introduced Emily to take care of me on a test drive...I was in and out within 2 hours, including a great conversation with Jamie the Finance Manager who had my paperwork prepared in advance. Most importantly, I felt I had spent no time at all at the dealership because each of the three Leckner professionals I just mentioned treated me feel like a friend. I actually had fun while there because each person I dealt with took the time to get to know me better. I walked out with my perfect used car and new friends...a positive experience in purchasing a car! Who knew? Thanks Alan, Emily, and Jamie!

Sales

byDPipkinson 03/24/2017

I give good review because I went to this location and was matched up with Jackie Gibbs who got me in a 2016 Nissan Maxima. Jackie went over and beyond to make things work out for me and I really appreciated that. I just recently got approached by Jackie to get a better deal on a 2017 Nissan Maxima which now I'm the new proud owner of. This location goes out of there way to make sure your happy and will work with you, so if looking for a vehicle I really think you should check them out.

Hidden cost

bymullins04on 02/25/2017

I spoke to the salesman prior to going to Leckner Nissan and explained to him I had a Nissan Rogue I was considering to trade in on a pathfinder. After test driving the pathfinder and waiting for over an hour for the trade in figure I was surprised they undercut my trade in below KBB even though they advertised they were offering 126% above KBB. The figures online do not include all the hidden taxes and freight cost which added in over $3000 to the online price. My husband was also interested in purchasing aTitan Truck but after my experience he decided to look elsewhere. It's a shame because you could have had 2 sales in one day from one family.

2015 VW Golf - Transmission Repair

bygolftsion 02/10/2017

I purchased a 2015 VW Golf TSI automatic from Leckner Nissan on 30 April 2016. After experiencing hard shifting and activation of a transmission malfunction warning light on the 19th of November, I delivered the vehicle to VW Waldorf for troubleshooting the day before Thanksgiving (23 November 2016). The vehicle was delivered to VW Waldorf since the vehicle was supposed be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Upon inspection, VW Waldorf indicated that the transmission pan had been installed incorrectly, was not the original part from the vehicle, and was in fact missing an internal component which dictated proper fluid level. Accordingly, the fluid level was extremely low and the vehicle needed immediate repair to forego irreparable damage to the transmission. Since the transmission pan had clearly been replaced and installed incorrectly, the VW warranty did not cover the repair. The cost of the repair was $750. Leckner Nissan contacted me after I submitted a Better Business Bureau complaint and satisfactorily resolved the complaint by refunding the $750 repair bill. Better Business Bureau Complaint #11882666 Closed and Marked Resolved.

terrible customer service

bytadavis03on 01/19/2017

The process of selling the car was fine because they wanted to make a sale, but when i had to bring the car back to get the scratches buffed out and the end call button was not working they tried to bill me $700 for the button but fixed the scratches. there was no follow up call to update me on my vehicle. If you do a full inspection and a vehicle before its sold then they should have known the button was not working in the first place.

Horrible Service and Lies

bylbk0001on 05/14/2016

This dealership is a horrible representation of excellent consumer service. I made arrangement over the phone to come see a vehicle. I drove over two hours to get there. When I arrived, the vehicle was no where to be found. And that is when the lies began. I was told 3 different stories as to where the vehicle was. Truth be told, no one knew where it was but they just kept lying about it. Finally the vehicle was located and purchased. When I picked it up, it had not been detailed or serviced. I had to make arrangements for this to be done at another time. Promises were made to get the inspections done and tags issued. That was not done either. My temporary tags expired and I had to call to get new ones because my tags had not arrived yet. Very unprofessional dealership. Just the fact that they had no problem continuing to lie to myself and my father, tarnishes any good reputation they might of had.

Audi A4 Purchase/Incorrect bolts used for License plate

byAudiPurchaseron 03/07/2016

I purchased an Audi A4 from this dealership. I did not have any complaints regarding the sales process for the car. However, they used incorrect bolts for the rear license plate of the vehicle which I was not aware of at the time. Three months after purchase, I decided to remove the Leckner frames from around the license plate and I was unable to physically remove the license plate due to the bolts being oversized. The square shaped nuts behind the bracket are held by prongs, and as a result of the bolts behing too large, one of the prongs was pushed out of the bracket (and fell behind it), and the other was physically stuck and would not come dislodged. I had to open up the hole on the license plate itself in order to remove the bolt. The square nut came out with the bolt, and I am left with nothing to re-fasten the license plate to the car. I reached out to Leckner and they did not return my message. I reached again and was told that it was "my opinion" that the wrong sized bolts were used when I purchased the car. They were very uncooperative while discussing the issue, and were not at all receptive when I offered to send photos of the issue. While it is not a Nissan that I purchased, it seems pretty sloppy to not have the correct bolts to use while fastening a license plate to the car, and to cause damage to the car in the process of using the incorrect parts.

Great Salesman

bynicolebhaneyon 03/05/2016

Serge was great to deal with; he is a genuinely nice guy who cares about the customer and has a strong work ethic. The whole process with him was no-pressure and relaxed, which definitely made the long car-buying process easier on me. His managers applied a bit higher pressure sales tactics, which was annoying, but even they seemed to want to work with me to get the sale without breaking my bank. All in all, this is the best dealership I've done business with. Serge really made the difference; he is by far the best salesman I've dealt with and I'll certainly refer my friends and family to him for their next cars.

Used car purchase

bythecartinkereron 02/19/2016

As a long-term automobile aficionado I recently undertook to find a replacement vehicle for my sister, whose Nissan Altima had been totaled in a rear-end accident. I sought a 2013 Altima, the 5th generation, and a certified pre-owned model (With the 7 year/100,000 drive-train guarantee). Through “Car Gurus,” I found such a vehicle at Leckner Nissan. While looking at Leckner Nissan reviews, I noticed that the owner, Mr. Karl Leckner, was very responsive in personally addressing customer comments, both negative and positive. The overwhelming majority of these comments were very positive. Overall the purchase was satisfactory, albeit with some minor deficiencies. Rather than posting them on customer reviews, I wanted to first give Mr. Leckner an opportunity to respond, and sent him a personal email. Within one day Mr. Leckner responded, explaining that he was out of town, but that he would have his assistant Dave take care of the minor shortcomings (Not all the paperwork normally associated with a certified pre-owned model was provided at the time of the sale). Dave called me, and within a few days, my sister received the required documentation. I was very impressed with all aspects of the corrective measures, especially since the sale was complete and Leckner Nissan had been paid in full for the vehicle. Also of note: A few days after the purchase the windscreen top rubber seal came loose and made a loud noise at driving speeds. Although there was only a drivetrain warranty in effect, and there was no obligation to do so, our salesman, Chris, quickly arranged to have it replaced or repaired. Finally, the purchase price was very competitive, and there were no “bait and switch” tactics or egregious additional hidden charges as a means of inflating the price in a deceptive manner. I have personally experienced these tactics at other dealerships. Based on our experience, I unequivocally endorse Leckner Nissan as an ethical dealership, and it will be my “go to” shop when I replace our current vehicle.

Professionalism and Knowledge

bylovingmyjavaon 02/15/2016

I would like to thank Monte Tucker for his professionalism and knowledge in selling cars. I was on the verge of purchasing a used car but I found out that I had a high negative equity. Mr. Tucker had already told me to trying leasing because of the negative equity, but I wasn't interested. However, when my credit union confirmed exactly what Mr. Tucker had told me at that time I realized that he was not just in to selling me a car, but helping me make a wise decision. I appreciate his knowledge when it comes to choosing a car. Keep up the good work Mr. Tucker, I have already sent a shout out on Facebook letting my friends to come check you out.

48K service

byFrontier4x4on 09/13/2015

The staff I did business with were knowledgeable and courteous. I was cautious after reading the feedback comments on the net; especially with the dealership changing hands. One of the service techs came outside and helped me fill out the 'drop-off' form; even though it was after 7:00PM. I was pleasantly surprised when the caller telling me the vehicle was ready, said she was going to have it washed and vacuumed.

Satisfied Customer Goes the Distance

byOneHourOneCaron 09/02/2015

We traveled over an hour to get to Leckner Nissan and we're glad we did. Everyone treated us with respect and patience. One individual stood out, Mr. Dylan Browne. He knew his Nissans and explained in a way that was respectful and thorough. Thank you, Leckner Nissan, for the most pleasant car buying experience my wife and I have ever had. I have already begun telling my friends and colleagues Leckner Nissan is the place to go for cars.
