I recently purchased an F150 from Freddie at Koons Ford in Falls Church. Freddies approach was sincere and easygoing he has a lot of sales experience and I never felt pressured to purchase a vehicle. My overall experience was wonderful. They provided all the proper information and made everything quick and easy. Nick the sales manager was wonderful to work with extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. I plan on purchasing from them in the future. Very Disappointed! Dishonest and a lack of integrity is what I experienced! Do not do business with the salesman (Russle Walker) and Sales Manager (Joseph Bond). History: I purchased a New F-150 from this dealership in Feb 15. This deal was great! My wife was looking into purchasing a new Expedition. I'm a returning customer...you'd think that would have counted for something. I am a very informed buyer and wanted to do a direct deal with this dealership. I initially sought out this dealership first. Mr. Walker was slow in responding to my emails initially, which should have been an indicator that he must have met his quota for the month. I have been searching other dealerships and have been getting quotes from other dealerships for comparison. Mr. Walker was continually trying to up-sell me other models. It wasn't until I sent him a window sticker from another dealership that he finally sent me the information for one (which he said he could sell me) that was with the options I wanted and within my price range. I have been very clear with him and the sales manager on what my expectations were and what I expected to get for trade in of my vehicle. They had my entire vehicle's information and could have gotten me a rough estimate on pricing without having me drive 45 minutes one-way just to outright lie to me just to get me into the dealership. I have emails from Mr. Walker and the Manager Mr. Bond stating that they could, "come close" to what I was expecting for trade-in. I'm sorry but "come close" is not 10K off from that price. It took an hour and a half for them to figure this out. However, my disappointment didn't just end there... Mr. Walker appeared to have completely forgotten why I was there. I must have sent him at least 6 emails with duplicate information on what I wanted and was looking for. However, when my wife and I arrived....no vehicle...not that it was offsite at their remote parking lot...he had no idea where the vehicle was, remember he said he could sell me this vehicle and even sent me the window sticker. Really!! I can only assume the dealership pulled a random window sticker off the net and couldn't figure out where it came from. This was just a greasy salesman attempt to try to sell me a more expensive model by getting me into the dealership. It wasn't until I was very blunt with what I was going to pay, my trade in value, interest rate and incentives did they break out the trade-in value 10K under what I was expecting. Had Mr. Walker or the Sales manager Mr. Bond been upfront with their assessment of my trade-in (which we know can be done with the VIN and options) without seeing the vehicle, I would not have come into the dealership and wasted an entire morning having my intelligence insulted. If either of these two had been honest from the start I would not have been upset or disappointed. Had they told me they could not sell me a car I was looking for, we may have looked at other option within the dealership or waited until they got in a vehicle which closely matched what I was looking for. But to know I was coming in and not even prepare for my arrival and wasting so much of my time is inexcusable. If the dealership was upfront and honest they would have retained me as a customer...maybe not this month but in the future. I will not recommend this dealership to any family or friends, ever. I cannot do business with folks who lack integrity or are swindlers.

We bought our Explorer at Koons because of Azeez Yinusa's professionalism, hard work and integrity. He was patient not pushing us to accept any options we didn't want and worked tirelessly (literally he would send an email at midnight) to help locate the exact options and colors we wanted. He was assisted by Tony when he wasn't there and Tony was also very very helpful. And the service managers were also very friendly and worked with me on my needs.

Best Buying Experience EVER !!!

Has been roughly 6 weeks since my Koons purchase and my local Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach Ford dealers are still advertising discount prices on the identical truck I purchased for at least $3500 more than I paid at Koons. Just made my first payment and am already anxious for my next Koons purchase. Look and test drive locally. Make your model decision. Then take a Saturday drive to Koons and buy that truck. Smile in style all the way home.

Sales manager was very persuasive and a great dealmaker. So, we ended buying the car right there, though it was the first place for us to stop and we intended to look around. Clowns.

Had to really fight for warranty claim, which was indisputable -- a defective defroster! Then they damaged the paint and tailgate hinge on my SUV while replacing the tailgate window with new defroster. Cannot prove but I certainly didn't do it and it appeared immediately after their work.

Bait and switch

Drove 3 hours after agreeing on an estimated difference over the phone. When I got there, their offer for my car was $6000 lower than initially agreed. The reason cited was a fender respray that was done to correct stone chips by a professional shop. $6000....because a fender's paint was improved. They knew what they were doing as soon as I agreed to drive down.

Requested an online quote for 2 models, received the online price + the additional charges. Test drove both vehicles and chose the Ford Focus. Price was honored as given via email, there was no push to get added features as from the beginning I told the dealer what I was looking for. Got all final paperwork done and drove away in my new car. The sales people were not pushy , were clear on information and were helpful. Overall a good experience in my case.

Don't get WOW'd by Koons Ford in Falls Church

Don’t get too WOW’d about Koons Ford in Falls Church. In a recent car purchase and trade, we were told the “WOW” price was the lowest possible sale price for the used vehicle we purchased – so no give on the WOW price. On the trade – a luxury vehicle in excellent condition – we were low-balled (below the blue book “trade-in” value) on a claim that the ‘market for the car was real bad and they likely would have to sell it to dealer of that make car and would lose money’. So imagine our surprise when the very next week, we see the car we traded in on the Koons Ford web site with a “WOW” price that was $4,000 above what we were given in the trade! And it doesn’t stop there! When we took the newly purchased used car back for the few items that needed repair (that were agreed to at the time of sale), the level of service we experienced was a complete fiasco – ranging from completely incorrect service log in, to total non responsiveness from every part of the dealership when we tried to find out what was actually being done to the car, to incomplete and faulty repairs on the few items that needed to be fixed. Only after sending a detailed letter of complaint to Koons corporate headquarters were we ultimately able to work through most of the repairs (one was and remains completely botched, however) to the newly purchased used car. Moral of the story, Buyer Beware – don’t get WOW’d about Koons Ford in Falls

I recently purchased a 2012 Ford Focus. I was considering a Mazda3, but the dealer started negotiating at MSRP, so I knew I wasn't being taken seriously. Koons started very close to the Edmunds.com price, which made it easy. There was no pressure at any point in the process. They listened to what I wanted it felt like they were working with me, not working me over. They had to do some work to find the car I wanted, and unlike the Mazda dealer, didn't pressure me to take delivery from a car they had in stock. This is the second vehicle I've purchased from Koons, and it probably won't be the last. The very good experience I've had with their service department was also a factor in buying from them.
