It doesn't get any WORSE!

Nighmare! The service staff was rude and condescending. While on the phone, every person I spoke to in the service department spoke over me and interrupted me. When I was finally given the opportunity to speak, the head of customer service snickered and guffawed at my comments. ANY time I disagreed, I was told I was being rude and if I did not stop being rude, the call would be terminated. I was treated like an ignorant child. No one tried to help. I sent letter to the corporate officers, M.G.Britt, President; Thad Nowak, VP, Michael Andress, Sec/Treasurer; and Benjamin Nowak, Assistant Treasurer. Thad Nowak left me a message but I have not heard back from him since I returned his call and left him a message. Proof that the management sets the tone for the entire organization. I cannot wait to unload my Ford Escape. So much for trying to buy American. Never again Ford!

Another unhappy experience

I paid for Ted Britt for life and now I wish I didn't. I get treated very poorly. This time check in was so so. When I was told (finally) that my car was finished I was told to wait in the parking lot. No one else had to. So I waited close to ten minutes outside for my car. I had to go back inside to ask for my car.

Ted Britt is in need of Servicing

Let me start off by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed my car buying experience when I purchased a Lincoln Navigator last year. I bought it fully loaded with additional upgrades, extended the warranty, and bought a service plan for maintenance. So imagine how disappointing it is when I bring my vehicle in to be serviced and am struck without a loaner for days, not provided the expected courtesy car wash, and then lied to on the invoice. Let me explain... I brought my Navigator in early last month for Ted Britt service department to have rain guards professionally installed. I paid approximately $400 for labor and servicing. Upon completion, my vehicle WAS NOT given the courtesy car wash... no big deal. However, after a few weeks, all of the rain guards started separating from the vehicle and I notice that 1 of the rain guards was installed at an noticeable angle. So I took the Navigator back in to fix the discrepancy a few weeks later. I ask for a loaner, but I am told they don't have any for me. They say that they can have me shuttled to the mall or wherever I would like to go while they work on the car, but they are not sure how long it will take. I chose to have my wife drive out to Chantilly and pick me up instead. I wait all day (car was dropped of in the morning) before I eventually call back before closing to ascertain a status update. The service tech informs my that they are keeping the car overnight because they had to order new rain guards. Fine, but now I'm a vehicle down trying to get my wife to work and 4 kids to school. Sure would have appreciated a simple phone call. On Wednesday, I tell my wife to let me know if she hears anything from Ted Britt as I'll leave work early to get her and then get the car. NO CALL ALL DAY LONG. Okay, so now its been 2 days without so much as a courtesy call. I wait until Thursday before I call again to find out that they received the rain guards, but "They were broken and had to be reorder." Understandable, if true, but why not call the customer so they know what to expect? Nonetheless, seeing as I don't really have much choice, I wait another day. Finally, after having my vehicle for 4 days, I am called to come pick up the Navigator. I see it when I arrive and it is...surprise, surprise, not washed. But I expected that because it is never washed. I go in to sign the invoice and get my keys, but am baffled by what I read on the third bullet of the invoice. A note that says, "CUSTOMER WAS PROVIDED A LOANER VEHICLE AND A COMPLIMENTARY CAR WASH." I'm disgusted and request that they remove the comment before I sign anything. I'm then asked to speak with the service managers, Frank and John, regarding the matter. They both seem nice and promised me to provide a loaner, car wash, etc... upon my next visit. If you can't get it right after the past 3 service appointments, why would I promise any more business to Ted Britt? I wouldn't. If I didn't have my vehicle currently under warranty there, I wouldn't go there. They have disappointed me so many times now with simple customer care and by lack of calling to inform the customer what the issues are and/or what to expect. I bought the top of the line Lincoln vehicle from them and can't get a loaner or a car wash, how do they treat others? It's insulting. Bottom line, why would anybody want to pay money to be treated like that? Why would I not get a loaner car when they keep my vehicle for 4 days? Especially when it was a direct result of the poor quality servicing I had received on a previous visit. Ted Britt, please fix the standard of customer care before you worry about grading against your poor standard.

Beyond Expectations

My First experience with TED BRITT was the best! The Sales person by the name Marvin Carrol was astonishing. Very experienced and confident. He located me right before I walked into the Fairfax office, and he just took control and solved my worries. An exceptional chap I must say. I was surprised that I got a lower APR for my Bran New Ford Fusion 2015. I strongly recommend TED BRITT and the above all locate the sales person, Marvin Carrol. He will get you a deal beyond your imagination. Now am a proud owner of a 2015 Ford Fusion.

This was my first time dealing with Ted Britt. I have bought cars from other dealers and have had some issues but I was very pleasantly surprised. They were really great to deal with. I generally hate hate hate buying a car and I have to say I was not walking around numb after. I had seen a car I really liked and went in to check it out. It was not the car I ended up buying and really not the car that I ultimately needed. I was approached by Patrick D. and he was the best sales guy! Really a nice person. He worked with me and looking around in the inventory and found me just the right car that met my standards and requirements. I went by earlier then expected for a test drive once they got the car in and they were more then happy to let me actually take the car out over night and test drive it. That was great as my other half got to check it out and pass on his approval too. Finance was not too painful. Matt was really funny. I probably should not have added on any extras but I did but he was great about discussing them and helping me make the right reasonable choice. We bought another car not too long ago at a high dollar dealership for my husband. We still don't know how all the things work on that car as the sales person didn't know. I am good with tech stuff so I have figured out most of it on my own - a shame. Patrick took his time and went over all the features and showed me how to work them and helped my program different things that I would need. I did not have to go back for any more lessons! I am sure I will love my new Titanium Transit Connect. The dealership was just great about trying to find the right car for me and took their time asking questions to find the right fit earning them a very happy customer.

Very Solid for a New Car Buying Experience

Ted Britt Chantilly was a good place to buy a car. I found the sales staff - Chris M. - very easy to deal with. I was definitely 'helped' into a new car while shopping for a 2-3 year old used one, but they were ready to deal. I was initially told they would meet me on price, and true to their word, they came down heavily off MSRP - some $5-6K on a $26K list car. I was impressed. Now, mind you, this is still buying a new car with all the requisite headaches that accompany it. You're going to get offered stupid stuff you don't need (rust protection and aftermarket LCD screens), haggle for two-three hours to get a deal and really read that fine print - I had a couple occasions of the price being lowered only to find my 72 month quote turned into a 76 month. But again, this is all normal in buying a car. The buyer needs to come in educated, ready to deal and not back down. Overall, I was treated with a good deal of respect and offered a compelling car and a great price - and that's really what matters.

After an initial hiccup of no one at the dealership being aware that I had scheduled a test drive online, everything about my experience with Ted Britt exceeded my expectations. My salesman was very friendly, patient, and helpful without being at all pushy about making the sale. Everyone during the actual purchase process was just as friendly and helpful. Best of all, according to the Edmunds.com True Market Value, I got a great deal on my car, without having to go through the hassle of haggling over the price with the dealer.

Ted Britt Ford was by far the best dealership that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. My experience started when I completed a request for information online. The next day, Moses called to let me know they had some great deals available. I made an appointment that afternoon. Upon arrival, I was greeted and we started looking for cars. Moses was very helpful and the application process was quick. Once the application and trade-in appraisal was complete, I had the pleasure of working with Evelyn while she was trying to find me the best deal for an auto loan. She was very personable and quite entertaining. Next, I worked with Natasha to finalize loan details. The process was fairly quick (in terms of new car shopping) and she did an amazing job finding a deal to work around my needs. I was very surprised that she was able to fully focus on my loan even with all of the other things going on. Above that, I was shocked and thrilled when they were able to negotiate a deal around my needs so quick. Linda took care of all of the financial and contract information. She was very insightful and offered great advice. The paperwork (which I always found to be the most time consuming and stressful) was a breeze. She had a great method and explained everything from totals to the different maintenance (and gap) packages they offered. Once all the papers were signed and everything was settled, Kwin helped setup Sync. She was great! Kwin was very thorough in helping me connect my phone and taught me how to use all of the features. Overall, I have to reiterate that this was the best car buying experience that I have EVER had. If you are thinking of buying a car, I would highly recommend that you start here! These people are ROCKSTARS!!!

Professional Staff and Great Customer Service

My wife and I first went to Ted Britt to look at a used car. The customer service was great and I didn't feel pressured to buy the car. Our rep was Ricardo. Ask for him personally. We left to check out a few independent dealerships that advertised better prices. We had a nightmarish experience at those independent dealerships. The cars were either in prior accidents, had multiple owners or had mold damage. One of the dealerships lied to us twice during our visit. DO NOT GO TO REGAL MOTORS. After those experiences we called our rep Richardo and told him "we're coming back". They were still willing to negotiate with us even though we both knew they had the best remaining price with in 100 miles. We got the car we really wanted for a great price and had a great overall experience. Customer service in America may not be what it used to be, but Ted Britt's staff held up their end of the bargain. I want to say thank you to Richardo, Rick, Christina and Mike. Great job!

Good sales folks; terrible back staff

Had a very smooth sale with very good internet manager and sales staff. Honored a very good price. The sales manager was a typical no personality [violative content deleted] but didn't talk with him much or I would have walked. He is a game player. The worst experience is the stand-offish crowd that sits up front - they have terrrible information when it comes to the DMV, licensing process, etc. and all give different answers. Unfortunately, a few minutes after I bought the car I didn't seem to be very important. So the after purchase experience could be better. Overall though I would recommend them. They like to move cars and are competitive. Its worth a stop and my sales experience was great - the background part rarely is but I'd even say it was better than average. If I could I give them a solid 3 1/2 stars on this but I can't so I'm rounding up which is fair in this case.

Avoid at all costs

Only go here if you enjoy spending an entire day playing every old game in the book, as well as enjoy getting 6 different wrong answers to any question you have. To make it worse, they now deal Lincolns and still want to treat their customers as if they're buying $999 specials off the street corner car lot. The only reason I went through with my purchase is because they were the only dealer with my MKZ Hybrid in stock. Otherwise, if you want any kind of a positive experience, go to the corner $999 special lot.

I have purchased 9 cars from Ted Britt Ford since 1995, I have always had them serviced at the dealership. Their service staff are friendly helpful informative and very accomdating. The car is always ready when promised never had to take it back for the same problem or issue. They have loaner cars which are great and even when I wanted to wait for my car it is done very quickly. My buying and servicing of my vehicles over the last 15 years has been a great experience with Ted Britt Ford and would highly recommend them.

The people in the service department of Ted Britt Ford Fairfax are awesome!!!!! My vehicle was always ready when promised and the price was reasonable, which is very important to me since I have 3 small ones who depend on me and this vehicle. Plus they have loaners so I don't have to worry about losing a day of work.
