Best Car Buying Experience Ever!

Yesterday I purchased my second Volvo XC60 from Wayne Smith. The service was excellent.The dealer had a good variety of cars to chose from. I didn't feel pressured to buy. Wayne was very profession. He made sure I had the vehicle I was looking for at a good price. He took his time to make sure I understood the various functions of the vehicle. This was a very pleasant experience! Sales manager John was very clear and transparent in the pricing as well. Blake also helped me to understand the technical feature of the car. I would send friends and family to Wayne to purchase a vehicle without second thought!

Best Car Buying Experience Ever!

Great Customer Service; Friendly staff

My partner and I got our 2016 S60 from Fairfax Volvo this weekend, and could not have been more impressed with the customer service we received. Our salesman, Patrick, was kind, knowledgeable, and focused on making us comfortable. The sales manager contacted me prior to our visit to make sure they had the exact vehicle that we were looking for in stock. They even set the car aside to make sure it was there for us when we arrived on Saturday. While we negotiated the price back and forth a few times, the negotiation process felt comfortable, and we left feeling as though we got the best possible deal. Once we had the negotiations out of the way, Patrick was extremely accommodating when walking us through the paper work process. He also spent a good amount of time sitting with us in our new vehicle to explain all of the new technology and services offered by our new Volvo. We would definitely recommend this dealership to our family and friends!

After a protracted period of looking we finally narrowed it down to two models. In the course of the last visit we were fortunate to have the services of "Tim" and "Wayne" during the selection, test drives and purchasing process of our vehicle. We had help in selecting what was right for us and honestly advised that some additional options were not really needed. I found this surprising and refreshing.

Made a deal, but lied

We spent several hours at this dealership yesterday looking at vehicles. My wife and I finally settled on the car that we liked and proceeded to attempt to make a deal. We came close, but didn't get where we wanted so we left. The sales manager (Tim I think) called me not five minutes after we left and told us he could do the deal. I was a little annoyed that he let us leave only to call a minute later as the dealership is near a crazy intersection for roads and traffic, but my wife was very excited to get the car she wanted. We returned to the dealership, shook on the deal, filled out all the paperwork, then began to wait while they got the car ready and until it was our turn to sign all the paperwork. The wait was longer than expected, and we were approaching six hours spent at the dealership when the car was ready before we'd had a chance to finalize the paperwork. My wife was sitting in the car with the salesman, pairing her phone to the car, when the sales manager came out and advised that he had made a mistake and their 0% financing wasn't available on that specific car. How we were that far into a deal to learn that is beyond me. He began to search for a different car for us, but we had to leave to get home for our dog. The sales manager said he would send us some stock numbers so that we could look at a few different vehicles that would fit the deal that we made. The end of the night came and we hadn't received anything from the dealership, which was a little surprising. Then came today and we assumed we would receive a call nearly as soon as they opened; we didn't. Many hours later my wife decided to call the dealership and got the "oh, we were just going to call" response. They then proceeded to tell us that, while they have a similar car on the lot (it actually has a cheaper sticker price than the one we were going to purchase), they now need us to pay $50 more a month. I don't know if I have ever felt more disrespected by a car dealership. I would advise against buying a car from this dealership. They don't understand customer service, or what it means to means a deal with a customer.

Simply the best

In 2008 I arrived at Fairfax Volvo and was greeted as an old friend and bought an XC 90. Not an easy task when you have been in the country for 2 weeks without a US credit history. The following week I bought a Honda from the same dealership. In 2012 we changed the XC 90 for an XC 60 and my wife drove that for 3 years. Last week we bought another XC 60, our 4th purchase and the service just keeps on improving. As strange as this sounds, this service is so good and the overall engagement about price, packages and recommendations is so honest that it can even make you change brand loyalty. My wife is the avid Volvo follower, I am rapidly becoming one too! My summary is this this team collectively represents the integrity, honesty, passion, energy and commitment that we deserve as consumers. We are moving to North Carolina soon and I "will" drive up here in x years time to buy the 5th vehicle, if not sooner. Sincerely Craig Usswald

Best Experience Leasing a Car!

Just leased a new Volvo S60 from Fairfax Volvo and it couldn't have been a better experience. The new Manager Amir was fabulous and our Salesman Wayne was simply the best! They both went out of their way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, they met a competitor's sale price, and we never felt pressured. Jessie in the finance department couldn't have made the process any easier. We will definitely be back!

We felt sales kept us waiting much to long during each stage of the process. Once an offer was made, we waited a half hour and the sales person came back to try and sell us a car with less amenities to get closer to our offer. It was an insulting experience for purchasing from a highly regarded company as Vovlo. I also did not get a discount they were advertising and talked with finance after the sale and pretty much I got the talk around. Was disappointed mostly with dealer overall, but we did get the model and amenities and color we wanted with a decent price.

Outstanding Service and Follow Up

I had a great experience at FFX Volvo. I should have written this a long time ago. I bought my 2012 S60 T5 in 2011 (early release) from Fairfax Volvo after pricing the car with many other dealers in the area. I knew the exact S60 that I wanted, including the equipment and the price range I needed to stay in. After doing all of my online research and homework I contacted the dealership via their website and inquired on a vehicle from their online inventory. I got an almost immediate reply from Alex (Sales Manager at the time) and the negotiations began. Over the course of 1 day, I was where I needed to be with the car I wanted and had even talked Alex into letting me buy his newly acquired '12 S60 because it had the sports package that I was looking for in the color that I wanted (Saville Gray Metallic). When I got to the dealership, met Alex in person, looked at "the" car, drove it, loved it, confirmed the price again and then Alex put me in touch with Wayne, who made the sale official. Wayne was very low pressure, pleasant, attentive and detail oriented. The whole transaction took less than 2 hours. I've bought many, many cars this way over the years, but this was by far, the most pleasant experience with NO DRAMA! I used to dread going to the dealer to buy my cars, but I highly recommend a trip to Fairfax Volvo to anyone in the market for great sales folks and an easy, breezy day at the car dealer. I went there for a brake service. The service manager refused to offer me the quoted price that I got from them at a previous service about two weeks ago. The quoted price has already been recorded in the computer system. This guy first denied that there is a quoted price in my record. Then he said that the previous service manager who gave me that quoted price is a new guy and does not know anything about the price. After I asked him to reschedule this service, he then agreed to offer me the quoted price. Unfortunately I even believed him. After the service was done, I was told by this service manager that he still cannot offer me a quoted price because there is some other fees that need to be added in. I got really angry by his going back and forth on this price things and treating me like a retard. Anyway I paid the higher price and left. I will try to find another place for service next time.

Fairfax Volkswagen is a good dealer with a excellent service department. I was sent to Fairfax Volkswagen by a good friend who has been using their service department for several years. The treatment I received there was much better than the places I usually go to. The price was also fair which was a nice surprise.

Volvo service

Since I am not an auto mechanic, I routinely check at last 3 repair shops before deciding on the location that will fix my Volvo. Recently our Volvo needed brake/rotor work. Estimates received by other shops ranged from $800-1200. At Fairfax Volvo they took the time to show me what was needed and even though their prices was not the lowest, I felt the most comfortable there. The lowest priced place was not a Volvo dealer and I was a little concerned that they were not using factory parts. The service staff at Fairfax Volvo was friendly and thorough. The repairs were completed recently and I am glad to say that they did a great job.

Fairfax vw has been servicing my vw passat for many years now and they have always provided me with quality and professional service. The advisors are always pleasant to deal with and also very helpful. It is also nice that they are open sundays which makes it easier for me.

Honest Dealer

I took my Vw Golf to Fairfax Volkswagen to get the car Virginia safety inspected after it had failed the inspection at another dealer. I decided to get a second opinion since it would cost me about $850 for all the repairs that it needed to pass inspection. Fairfax volkswagen staff took the time with me to go over the items that my car needed and also let me know what is necessary and what is recommended. That made me comfortable since the other dealer gave me no choice. I decided to go with only what was necessary and spent $250 for the vehicle to pass inspection.

Avoid Fairfax Volkswagen

Their service and customer service is horrendous. If you absolutely must go, make sure to get your estimate in writing before you let them do any work. They are part of the Rosenthal group, which I am now being told has a terrible reputation. Too bad I didn't know that beforehand.
