Brought our VW Golf in for 40K check up, and tires. As per usual we received excellent service and quality work. They were kind enough to see we got an advertised rebate as well.

Excellent detail on golf GTI

The detailer took some time to make sure I understood their service and they (thankfully) did not as asked treat the car with any fragrance. I’ve been very happy with this dealer with other cars. Excellent communication with the customer.

Incredibly poor experience- twice.

I have visited this dealership twice within the past three years. The first time I visited, I was looking for a replacement to my Honda Civic and was considering a lease option. The salesman refused to let me test drive the Rabbit that I had wanted to drive, and insisted I drive the Passat because there were better lease deals on the vehicle. I begrudgingly agreed and he choose a car for us to drive. Before pulling out of the parking lot (still in park) I noticed the car was running empty on gas and the light was on. The salesman told me not to worry, that the car could go fifty miles with the light. Needless to say, we were stranded a few miles away from the dealership. Regardless of this, I was still interested in the car so we went inside to run some numbers. Immediately the manager came over and told us that he had other people that the sales man had to help and he sent in a finance person to take over. The finance person asked to take a look at my current car, which I agreed. They handed the keys over to a young service tech who hauled tail out of the parking lot in my car, screeching the tires. I had NOT given permission to drive the vehicle. They offered me $3000 less than Kelly Blue Book value on my vehicle and I left, disgusted with the whole experience. I wound up purchasing another Honda vehicle from my original Chesapeake, VA dealership instead. The second time I went was just recently when looking to upgrade my Honda CR-V to a larger SUV. We arrived at the dealership at 6:50pm and were immediately met by a sales man in the parking lot who informed us that they were getting ready to close and that no one would be able to help us. Again, poor customer service and no one there seems to realize that you need to treat people in at least a decent manner to earn their business. I purchased my vehicle elsewhere in Charlottesville a few days ago.
