Midstate and their staff were wonderful when I was ready for a new lease. Their team work and knowledge made car buying a breeze. Midstate is the first place I look to when making a decision about car buying.
I had a great experience at Midstate Dodge, Ram, Jeep. I bought a Ram truck in February and am completely satisfied. Meghan was an attentive salesperson who listened to what I wanted then worked hard to meet my needs. The sale was quick, efficient, and timely. This was my first buy at Midstate and when I left there I felt as though I had been a long time customer.
I had the privilege of working with kristina who went above and beyond to help me get a vehicle well suited for me needs. Not only was she very informative and friendly but so was the entire staff. I told her i was looking at several cars in the area at different dealerships and there was never any pressure from her to purchase one from her which made me feel very comfortable during the whole process of buying my first new car. I ended up going with a 2017 Hyundai accent. i have put 2500 miles on it and it has run perfectly smooth so far and i absolutely love it! I would definitely recommend buying from here and look forward to working with midstate in the future
Friendly, Comfortable Atmosphere
This was not only my first experience with Hyundai, but my first experience with Mid State Hyundai. From the moment I was greeted by the salesman to the moment I drove off the lot with my new Hyndai, I was treated with respect as a consumer. I never felt pushed. I never felt they were trying to hard to sell, sel,l sell! All in all it was a very pleasant experience. A special shout out to my salesman, Clay, who was the best I've ever experienced. His calm demeanor, personality, knowledge, and ability to connect through storytelling during the "down" time purchasing a vehicle, was truly appreciated.
I recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo from Kristina Kingsbury and MCDJ. This was the best vehicle purchasing experience I have encountered. The process started by scheduling a meeting via email and her flexibility when I had need to reschedule. Kristina was extremely helpful and made my dream come true. I drove out same day with a beautiful Jeep, no pressure and the shortest time spent at any dealership for me. I'm impressed by the follow up to ensure I am happy and have no questions. The staff at MCDJ bend over backwards to accommodate clients. Thank you and continue the good work!
If you want a great salesperson, go see Chris Campbell at Midstate Dodge. He and the dealership have a very family approach most interested in helping you find the car you want. His wife did the evaluation on my trade. It was very fair.
my used truck
the service dept. will not fix anything that is wrong in the so called 30 day warranty. when the engine starts making lifter noise and they claim it don't make it long enough for them to find the cause. is not a good answer. so in all midstate dodge sells lemons.
New Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk
Many of us dread the car buying experience. But from the moment I met Ed R, things were different. Ed knew about the Jeep product and answered my questions. When he couldn't answer, he didn't fake it; he looked into it and got the right answers. He accompanied me on the first test drive, and let me try the rig out alone for the second drive. He was patient and friendly, it was like buying a car from your friend. Craig was also helpful, and Travis was very organized. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealer and I would return and buy from this dealer again. Everything from explanation of warranty, tour of the service department, to financing options was well explained and orderly. Trading my used truck was straight forward and generous, not like a poker game. Well done Ed R and Team Mid State! See you on the trail.
During my initial inspection of a used 2011 VW Golf, everything looked good except there was about an inch of ice/water in the spare tire compartment. Several employees of Midstate Dodge inspected and agreeed that there was leak somewhere and that their service department would take care of the issue. We agreed on a price and a few days later with cashier's check in hand, I returned to the dealer to purchase the car. I asked for assurance in writing that the leak was repaired and NO LONGER an issue....they REFUSED my request and I was told they wouldn't stand behind their work should this problem reoccur. How could you have any confidence in car dealership that does not offer a 30 day guarantee something they "fixed"? All I was requesting was assurance that this ONE issue had been corrected. I was also told "we aren't making any money on this sale" ....whose problem is that? They agreed on the selling price and then told me the repair had been made....or so they claimed and refused to guarantee their "alleged" work. I took my check back and off their lot I drove. I would NEVER do business with them. Between my businees fleet of trucks and personal autos, I have purchased over 20 vehicles over the years and NEVER encountered a dealer like this. My advice is BUYER BEWARE at Midstate Dodge.
I was sold a 2002 Mercury Villager by Ben D. The sale was made through series of pictures and a video that he had e-mailed me. With the long distance, I was unable to come out and see the vehicle. Ben was very detailed with the description of the car and the slight damages that it had. He was also very truthful, which made me more comfortable to make an online purchase. Everything that was quoted and promised held up. He and the staff there arranged the shipping of the car, I just had to sign a couple of papers and the car was delivered at my front door. I am very happy with the vehicle and I would strongly recommend the dealer.
The way service should be.
Recently I purchased a four year old Chevrolet from Midstate Hyundai. I tried using a couple other service facilities in central Vermont, and never felt that they did much more than change my oil and send me on the way. Oh the prices were great, but I never got the feeling that they really looked the car over. I stopped by the dealership to ask a question and the salesperson I worked with noticed my inspection had expired two months ago. He reminded me that Midstate provided free lifetime state inspections and took me right over to the service department. I had to wait a short period of time with no appointment for the inspection, oil change and tire rotation that I decided to have done, since the car was going to be in the shop anyhow. What really impressed me, the service advisor, came out and introduced himself, walked around my car with me, opened the hood, topped off my washer fluid and told me that he had a concern with the alignment on my vehicle and offered to have the technician look at it for me. The best part, when they were done, my car was inspected at no-charge, yes I paid a little more for an oil change, but I was presented with a complete inspection report that even included how much brake pads I had left and a note that my air filter should be changed on my next visit. I think I found the service department I have been looking for.
Top Notch Service
My wife and I purchased a used Hyundai Santa Fe while on vacation this winter. After driving the vehicle a couple days in Florida, we headed back to Vermont and the cold weather. During the trip home, the check engine light came on. Since the vehicle ran fine, we continued home. The next week, I had our local mechanic look at the vehicle. He checked it out and told us we would need a catalytic converter. He quoted me between $600 and $700 for a converter, which he was getting from an auto parts store. My wife decided to call the local Hyundai dealer. Midstate was courteous and asked her when she could bring the vehicle in. She scheduled an appointment for the next day and I dropped the vehicle off that morning. They gave me a ride back to my job and promised to pick me up that afternoon at 3:30. The also set my mind at ease a little by letting me know that if the converter was in fact defective, it would be covered by Hyundai under warranty. Three hours latter I got a call. Seems a bad gasket was the only problem, not an entire converter and for less than $100 they had taken care of replacing the gasket, plus changing my oil, something I had requested. I know in the future were we will be taking not only our Hyundai, but our Toyota. The whole team at Midstate was great.
Bait & Switch Bait & Switch Oldest Trick In The Book !
This fraudulent dealership quoted 3 hours labor on a job @ $ 75.00 per hour. The vehicle was dropped off and the wrong part was ordered and so the appointment was rescheduled. The vehicle was dropped off again a week later at 9 AM in the morning. Late PM in the afternoon my wife received a phone call that the repairs were going to take much longer than quoted. She went directly to the service department wherein the steering column, dash etc. were all sitting in the front seat of the vehicle and was told the vehicle would not be ready until the next day. The next day we were charged according to the "crash book" 9.7 hours labor vs. the 3 hours that were quoted initially. The oldest game in the book, bait and switch. The service manager had the "crash book" available when the initial quote was given but only refers to it after the initial quote was given !!! Small claims court here we come :) I might add the same day a nice young woman was on the verge of tears with this service manager because she had work done to her vehicle and the chemicals they used on the carpets ended up putting her young child in the emergency room of the local hospital with a severe respiratory reaction. The non caring attitude and not knowing exactly how they were going to correct the problem with her left a lot to be desired. We have been in business in Vermont for over 40 years and are well known throughout New England for our honesty and integrity .We know what quotes are and we know what estimates are and we keep our word when giving them . Stay with the companies you can trust because the companies that are not selling vehicles and the companies that are not doing business in these times will try to make their monies in very unethical ways. Take your car to another dealer for service
I have worked with Midstate for the past several months to try to get a warranty issue resolved. Unfortunately, after months of aggravation I have had to begin working with the manufacturer and have had my vehicle taken to another dealership, that will hopefully be able to address the problem. The staff at Midstate seems great and eager to help. However, I believe that the dealer's ownership is focused on dealing with problems in the cheapest way possible and is not helpful when it comes to addressing concerns. My vehicle, the second purchased from them began having problems at 21,000 miles - 7,000 miles later, my husband was told by the owner, that out next step was to have the vehicle towed to them and they would "get to it when they got to it." This would be our 5th time having the vehicle serviced by them. Apparently, they don't understand the relationship between great service experiences promoting repeat sales. After arguing and pleading they offered us a loaner. However, the loaner seemed less safe than my vehicle that I was having serviced. My advice purchase your vehicle with someplace that has a reputable and positive service department. We have worked with Gateway Motors in White River, VT and Kinney Motors in Rutland, VT and had GREAT experiences with both.
