Ron Davis was great, super friendly, and make it easy for me to find the right car
Unlike anything I've ever experienced before!
If I would have known about this dealership sooner I would have bought all of my cars here. The guys working there work on salary so there was never any pressure to buy a car and leave. It was such a nice feeling to have someone on my side. And the original guy I talked to even sent me a letter thanking me for my business. It is definitely going to be the next place I go to buy a car!
I visited this dealership by myself while my husband was out of the country. I needed to replace my 2003 BMW XI. I was fortunate to be paired with John Groenwald as my salesman. I live on the east bench and need an AWD, w/ plenty of safety features, to handle all my snow. John allowed me to test-drive my chosen car (2016 CX5) in my way, testing for comfort, stability, tightness of steering, pick-up, anything I thought was important. I felt no pressure to end my test early. John answered all my questions, all the while pointing out features of the car. My experience w/ him was pleasant, courteous, & respectful. Troy (sales manager) and Jon M (used car manager) were just as pleasant, courteous, & respectful, as well. My husband read some of the negative reviews of this dealership, and he decided to visit a different dealership in another city. At that dealership, we thought we had a line on 3 different cars, only to be disappointed, when in one instance the delivery date could not be pinned down, and after compromising twice on another color, each time we thought we had a deal, only to find out the cars had been demos, with at least 1000 miles on them. We returned to D. Dahle and were able to strike a deal on the car we wanted; and my engineer husband was as pleased as I was with the dealer and my new car.
D Dahle rocks
After reading the negative reviews of the D Dahle Mazda my wife and I decided to pursue the purchase of a new CX5 at a more highly rated dealership in the Salt Lake City area. We basically wasted a day dealing with the more "highly rated dealership, first we were given incorrect numbers and then we went through the process of negotiating for two separate vehicles that turned out to be no longer available after we eventually reached a deal. So we left and decided to buy a car at D Dahle. The experience was incredible and completely opposite many of the reviews that we read on this site. The sales people were knowledgeable, attentive, courteous and genuinely nice. They also, by the way, gave us an wonderful deal on this hard to fined vehicle. We are really happy with our car and the dealership and give D Dahle four thumbs up, our highest recommendation.
No valued customer
submitted our auto purchase request via phone at 10:30am on Saturday, called them at 3:30pm to follow up and was told they were "too busy" but would they call me back shortly. It's now 9:30pm. Now, after reading some previous reviews I'm not sure how they are still in business. I'll start my car search over again but certainly will not consider spending my valued time & money at D.Dahle
Lemonade stand!!! Beware!!!
DO NOT buy used cars from immoral and shameful D Dahle Mazda of Murray. We have had our used car for almost 2 months and have had to take it back to them multiple times for repairs (including the second day of having it because it dropped a quart of oil on our driveway.!). There was a metallic rattle noise from the first day the oil light flickered ( they said it was a sensor) the tire pressure light kept coming on and wouldn't stay off. The tire developed a stress crack, so we needed 4 new tires ( vacation trac system) the engine light came on two different times. Had them check it out again. They fixed the oil leak and never addressed the rattle. My mechanic checked it out and there was a bad exhaust manifold gasket. We replaced that. Still the noise ... Checked it out again and it's a piston rod knock!!! They say they will pay half of their cost of 8000$ to repair it. Read all reviews !! Not their first lemon. D Dahle Mazda of Murray is not accepting accountability for selling us a majorly broken car! So now we have to pay over half the value of the car just to repair it! Ridiculous! Avoid D Dahle Mazda of Murray like the plague! They truly are awful!
No commitment to customer
I was recently trying to purchase a car from this dealership over the phone and was waiting for a response from the salesman. After more than 2 hours waiting I called the sales manager only to find out that the car was just purchased. I was willing and able to purchase the car as soon as I received the call back, but apparently my Cash purchase was not good enough for the company. As I continue to shop for my next purchase I will not consider any vehicles located on this dealership as I was never even called back.
Just too busy...
They called quickly, I explained our needs, our equity trade and the additional deposit we'd like to place. He said "Surreeee, Let me run the #s and I'll get right back to you!" Five hours later, I called, twice he told me "we're right there on the #s" and that he just talked to my Wife Susan. No he didn't, and her name is not Susan. He said they were having a great sales day and he was just to busy to look at the numbers. Don't let "D Dahle Mazda" tell you they value your business, they don't, they're just "too busy" ! WOW what a problem to have ! I've got the money and I WANT to buy. You just keep spending that advertising money to draw folks in to your very busy dealership.
I went to several Mazda dealerships that wouldn't meet my budget on the car I wanted. I decided to try one more time at the D. Dahle dealership. Jon M was my salesman, and he was amazing! He was extremely helpful and was able to get me the car I wanted at the price I wanted! I highly recommend this dealership.
Easy as they come
Got to sit with decision maker to negotiate, no hidden guy with a sharpie in the back room. Up front and easy.
Avoid at all costs
I went to the other Mazda dealerships closer to me when D Dahle called me up and said they could beat everyone else hands down. They even said they would dip into special dealership money and bring the car below invoice. I headed down (over an hour away) to purchase a new car. When we got there the circus started. They not only gave me a quote well over invoice they were irritated that I would try to counter with a lower price. Telling me to take it or leave it I got up and never looked back. What a bunch of clowns. Honesty is the most important thing and these guys don't have a honest bone in their bodies.
Incompetence almost turns to violence
I came in to D. Dahle to just get an actual lease price on an actual vehicle equipped the way I wanted it. The older gentleman helping me was helpful but new so he did not have a lot of answers. He had to ask his manager everything. This is where the wheels come off. Do these guys know that customers can hear everything they are saying back in that office. There was a stream of obscenities that would have made have made A stand up comic blush. This guy in a poorly tailored suit gets up and screams "Are they gonna buy the [non-permissible content removed] car"? At this point I am done with this place. He then follows the salesman outside to yell at him some more and challenge him to a fight. I later found out from another salesman that this is their General Manager. I could not imagine anyone putting up with this guy. His name is Richard B. I know this because he still had the audacity to come out and try to sell a car. Well I guess that was what he was trying to do. It seemed more like he was trying to get a date. [non-permissible content removed] Do not even think of coming to this place unless it is just to see how car dealerships were run in the 80's.
Stay away from this dealer
Will never do business with these guys again and also make the recommendation to others to steer clear. I bought a used truck from them and under recommendation of the finance manager and salesman, although I was hesitant to do so, purchased their after-market warranty specifically to cover any issues with the 4WD ($2,200 for a comprehensive 3 year warranty - so not an insignificant amount). I started having issues with the 4WD so I took it in to have it repaired. I was told that the warranty would not cover the issue as the specific part needing replaced was not listed and if I didnt like it to call the warranty company myself. I expressed my displeasure with the situation as I had purchased the warranty through the dealership and hoped they would fight for the me their customer. While the service rep was courteous, he never made any offer other than to fix the part for an additional $700. Poor poor customer service and a lack of integrity and honesty from the finance and sales departments. Will NEVER buy from this dealership again.
Choose D Dahle
I really enjoyed my purchasing experience. I was fairly sure I would buy a Mazda, but Dennis was low pressure and very helpful. The other staff from sales manager to finance manager were all great.
Excellent sales team
The group at D Dahle Mazda was great when we bought our car. They have a very low pressure approach and are very easy to work with. They were very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. They offered a test drive up front and did whatever was asked of them. Our salesman Bill was very friendly and worked with us very well. He was very personable and even just spent time talking rather than dealing. There was no back and forth. We met the sales manager right off. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in a new or used vehicle.
A great Local Mazda Dealer
D. Dahle Mazda treated me very well, with high respect. I am an experienced car buyer and they did not play any games, no old school tactics, and the salesman Kyle P was very knowledgeable. Finance took about 10 minutes, and he did not try to sell me a bunch of useless stuff. Troy was the sales desk manager and he was very upfront. I got a great discount on a 2014 Mazda CX-5, and they paid very well for my trade in. I would recommend them to anyone local, I know the other dealer in Bountiful offers "free tires for life" but they don't tell you that you have to do every little service with them, like tire rotations, air filters, brake flushs, and they charge rather high premiums for those rather non-premium services.
Super Smooth and Honest
I do not understand how anyone can have a bad time buying a car. People who have a hard time figuring out rebates. Well, you are already on Edmunds, Look them up. People are crying about not getting the best rate. First off, pay your bills. Next get pre approved at your own bank. I sent in an internet request to all Mazda Dealers. I purchased a CX-9 from Jason Creech, the internet manager at D. Dahle because he responded quickly with a fair deal. He told me i could take the money or the rate. Pretty simple. He had the car ready and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Awesome! could not ask for better post sale assistance. I came in and he plugged in all my important addresses into the Nav system. I will buy all future Mazdas from Jason Creech at D. Dahle Mazda.
Avoid these guys and go to Bountiful Mazda
We bought a new car and the agreement was they would have the new car delivered within a week. 9 days after the contract was signed they still did not deliver and would not commit to a delivery data any longer. When asked if we could have a loaner car Richard Benz, the general manager, laughed in our face and told us too bad we had to deal with it. Richard refused to help the situation and instead mocked us, was sarcastic and made fun of us in front of his other employees. It was the worst customer service we have ever experienced. The owner was pretty good and helped resolve the problem, however, he was in the room when Richard was being insulting and did nothing to stop him. The car was over a week late arriving. Because of Richard I would recommend going to another dealership. You do not want to deal with his childish and unprofessional service.
Don't Give Them a Dime
Never before have I been more verbally insulted when trying to give someone my money. I believe that due to the large number of dealers in this state, if I can't get a competitive deal I will go elsewhere. My requests for a deal I considered fair were met with animosity, the salesman's responses laced with condescending remarks - "Do you own a dealership?", "You think you know how this goes?", "What, do you want the car for free?". After reportedly enraging the sales manager, they agreed to our deal. We go over to finance just to have a bait and switch played on us. At this point we decide to leave, but not without being insulted a few more times. If you are set on a Mazda, go to Bountiful. The 5 minutes I have spent on the phone with them, as well as their online reviews, has me heading there.
Scummy Sales Games
I was recently looking for a new vehicle and decided to check out the Mazda brand. I submitted online inquiries to D. Dahle Mazda of Murray. The email response was quick, the price was a low internet price, but came attached with scummy salesmen tactics. The initial email claimed the no-haggle price they quoted me was only good for one day. The reason they provided was a sale that was ending that very day. When I responded back telling them that was a shame because I had no intention of purchasing a car until the weekend, all of a sudden the sale was extended until Saturday. How special is that? Coincidence? You decide. From my perspective this was a simple high-pressure sales trick to try and hurry my decision to buy; and a very hollow attempt at one to boot. However, it speaks volumes about the integrity of this car dealership. After reading the other reviews at Edmunds it appears my experience is not unique. Buyers beware of any dealer that thinks scummy salesmen tricks are the norm. I suggest you look to the Mazda dealer in Orem, Utah, to conduct your business; they had superior customer care, appeared trustworthy, and transacted all business with integrity. Update: After purchasing a new Mazda from an Orem dealer, the sales consultant from D. Dahle Mazda (Jason Creech) sent an insulting email telling me I had paid too much for the vehicle. He then baited the email with a snide comment : "Next time due diligence should serve you better." I responded asking him to remove me from his email list and that I wanted no further business with him or the dealership. I informed him I was an informed buyer and paid good "due diligence" which is why Jason did not earn my business. (See the other poor Edmunds.com reviews listing him personally.) I commented on the winning smile and integrity of the Orem salesman I purchased my vehicle from. Jason then sends another bait email: "I hope a winning smile eases the pain of paying too much." This guy shows an incredible lack of customer care and integrity. I would pay another dealer $2,000.00 more for a vehicle rather than deal with a sales consultant this scummy. I BCC'd an email response to his general manager. If the manager is smart, he will remove poor sales consultants like this one from his staff. They are only bringing down the credibility of his dealership and driving away good customers. Buyer beware. You have been warned. I would give this experience zero stars if the website let me.
this dealership makes me lose hope in mankind.
I'm trying to figure out what was said that had truth to the whole operation. Salesman was extremely rude.
