Ruined the whole weekend

I made an appointment to purchase one of their certified cars via phone & email. I travelled all the way to the store only to find out they sold the very same car the night prior to my visit, the same night of the day I made an appointment. I am not upset about the fact they sold the car to someone else, but I am furious about the fact they didn't even try to contact me when they sold the car which I was coming to look at it all the way from Louisiana.

Out of town car problem for Tiguan. No appointment. They checked and saw it was water pump and had part. Dropped us to mall to see movie and have lunch while they did the work. Picked us up and covered everything under warranty. They were prompt,professional,and courteous. Very satisfied. They even cleaned the car.

2010 Volkswagen Jetta rear main seal serviced september '16

I had my Volkswagen Jetta serviced here for a check engine light...and my car was stalling..... turned out to be rear main engine seal and four egnition coils.... Justin Hamilton service rep was very knowledgeable and friendly he explained how these problems affected my car ......I dropped my car off Wednesday and by Friday morning it was ready .....I will definitely return if I need maintenance on my Jetta.

I'm severely dissatisfied with this dealership after 4 days of new car. Went in to Clearlake VW on Saturday june 18, 2016 to trade in a 2015 gti on a more family car and I feel duped. I got in contact with Laura in new cars. I inquired about some vehicles once there and was told only one stock # would be my only choice. So we go look at said vehicle for 45 seconds tops. Not really a good look experience. I said ok let's see some numbers. She came back to me with 616.00 a month I believe on a lease of a 2016 Tiguan. I said no to the price and was asked what number is good to me?$500 was my dream number and max was $524. Finally after 4 attempts at number haggling they agreed to the 524.00 depending on credit. I already knew my credit score from my credit union of 721. After an hour of waiting on approval, she comes and says all good and finance guy would come get me shortly and all was ready for me to sign and she would take car to be detailed. I already knew what games were to be coming my way? Which is what I had told laura. I hate going in finance office cause the numbers always increase on what was agreed on once in there. She asks "what do you mean"? I said they always want to sell you some ridiculous package that increases your payment way more like gap and warranty and maintenance or ding shield or tire insurance. She says no need, my vehicle is coming with everything and I roll over my maintenance package I had on gti to the new car. So once in the finance office I sit down and I'm asked right off the bat what package of like to go with. I said I was told all was included, and that I can not afford to go over 524.00 a month. He says that's not going to happen now cause they said my credit score was 682, so I'm now in high b tier. Which is now 572 a month. I said, what? I was told all was good at 524 and I didn't need any more ads ons on my payment. He says well how about they give me maintenance and I pay just a little for warranty and ding shield. I once again stated $524 or no deal. He comes back with a new number and i again said 524 or I go home. I end up saying thanks for your time and I will call if I decide purchase anytime soon. I got up walked downstairs and away I was going until the finance manager tells Laura that I am leaving and she asked why. I said that she had said everything was included on a lease and that my extended warranty and maintenance should have also been included from my gti onto the new car. Upon her getting all my items out of her office the finance guy comes over and says that they will do the maintenance package at an even $524 a month. So we went back up stairs and I finally caved in at the numerics offered and started signing papers. When it got to the odometer paper he tells me the car had 302 miles on it. I should have walked out right there. He assured me that is was just mileage from a dealer transfer from another store. I accepted and signed and purchased the 2016 Tiguan. I go down to see sales woman Laura and she says the car is in detail shop getting prepped. 30 minutes later she comes to get me to go out and give me the keys and explain car features and such. Upon walking out to the car which is out front with the passenger side doors open I see some heavy scratches in the leather seats, and on the b pillar. She says she will go to the back and get it fixed immediately. Five minutes go by and she's pulling up out front again and immediately opens the passenger door for me to get in and learn the cars features. It was then that I see they just put silicone spray to hide the white scratches on the seat and small b pillar scratch was still there. I just shrugged it off and listened to her explain features of the car. I was deeply saddened to find a small touch screen and no satellite radio. She also explained that the vehicle did not have the tow pack like all the others out front and that I should go ask parts dept if can even get it for my vehicle. Parts guy says yes and that it's an extra $600 to buy it. I leave the dealership in frustration and upon getting straight to my home I notice two door dings on passenger side and yet was to late to go back and or call to get my other car back. So promptly Monday morning I called and spoke with the sales manager who says they will fix dents at no cost and that Laura would call me Tuesday am to set up time. I finally get a call from her Tuesday evening and that the service dept. would now be calling to schedule me in. No response from anyone on Wednesday and finally Thursday afternoon I get call from service saying to be there at 7 am on Monday. Well I no longer want this car, I am sickened at the dog hair in the car and the dings. They either need to put me in a new vehicle or I will take the keys and drop it in their lot and walk off to lawyers office. Stay away from this shady place.

Great and freindly service

I dropped in Monument VW without a appointment to get a key programmed and came out 1 - 1/2 hours later with 3 keys programmed, veichel inspection, washed, & vacuum. They went over the items that they recommend to be change due to the age and the miles on the car. They were not pushy to get it done. The staf was very freindly to the customers. This was completly different than the way I was treated at Sugarland VW service department. I went in after making a appointment they did not want to do the job. After 4 hours of waiting they said that they lost the code and the car will have to stay overnight. They did provide me with a loner veichel but they said that this was not tequired for them. Afer this I did not want to go back to another VW dealership but after going to Monument VW I had a better experience with dealerships.

This is my 2nd visit after purchasing my vehicle, I was very displeased with the service writer, I was assigned a service writer when I purchased the vehicle, From the 1st encounter was a person who I felt treated me with disrespect as though I was a problem for her to take care of my vehicle needs. The 2nd visit I received the same attitude from her and I felt un-welcomed. I had to talk to the service mgr to give me another writer and the service writer continued to act as though I was a problem. The manager only was to assign a different service writer. The service mgr assigned a different service writer and he was very helpful and respectful. Because of my experience at this dealer, Clearlake Volkswagon , I do not intend to return to this dealership nor will I purchase another vehicle from them although I am in the market to purchase another Passat. Very bad experience with the Service Department. First service writer was very bad customer service.

Wrong Price Again

Went online to set up my appointment. As I did I was quoted a price of $199. However when I got to the dealership it was actually $350 for the service. This is not the first time but third time this dealership did this to us. Typical bait & switch tactic. We were advised that they use a third party & apparently have not gotten the web page worked out. This is the excuse each & every time.

New Passat

My husband and I went to this VW dealership as we were interested in buying a new VW Passat. We wanted to trade in our old car and needed to know how much the trade-in value would be. Before we went to the dealership we contacted them through their website and made clear what we exactly wanted (accessories etc.). After a short test drive we sat down with the sales person to hear what we would get for our old car and how much the Passat we wanted would cost. And then the sale tactic took a strange turn - at least in my opinion. Before that day I have never experienced a sales person who tries everything to sell you a car that has less features/accessories (and hence costs less) than the car you wanted in the first place. We were told that pretty much everything we wanted in our new Passat could be added on later. For example, we were told that there was no need to buy the car with the navigation system. A COMPATIBLE GPS would be available much cheaper at Best Buy and therefore was not necessary to get (purchase) now. We asked multiple times and were each time ensured that this GPS was indeed compatible with the screen build-in radio/phone set! We also would have liked to get fog lights. No need to buy the light package, said the sale guy. He would give us a phone number for a so called after-market firm where we could get fog lights way cheaper later on fitted in our Passat. We tried to call this number but it was not more in business! We called the sales person again and were promised a call back with the right number and address. Needless to say, after nearly two month we’re still waiting for that call! Our wish was also carpet mats in the car instead of rubber mats. We were again assured that as soon as another Passat would come to the dealership they would call us and we could exchange the mats. Sadly, nothing what we have been told was true. There was no such after-market firm and Best Buy does not sell any compatible GPS systems. We still love that Passat but are at odds as to why a car dealership would sell you a downgraded version of what you originally wanted! Maybe we should have read all the reviews on Yelp before buying – many of them are really bad. Quite a few customers are mad about the company. Hello, VW dealership – is that what you want and are striving for? I think not. Shouldn’t a car dealer aim for having satisfied customers? Customers which are coming back for the next car? I’m just curious… For us this was certainly not “a 5-star experience” as you claim to are going after!

There has been a huge improvement with the service department. I didn't have to wait a ridiculous amount of time. Last time I came they said it would take an hour so I decided to wait there in the waiting room and ended up being there for 3 hours! That wasn't the case this time, they said it would take 2 hrs and that is exactly how long it took.
