by 2015carbuyer1 on 11/02/2015We bought our 2014 Flex here early this year and were very happy with our experience. I had a couple of similarly equipped Flex's that I was looking into at Autonation Frisco and 5 Star Ford Plano when my wife found one with the options… she wanted at this dealership through Ford's website. I was connected with Jonathan Jones in the new sales department, told him of the other vehicles I had found, and what kind of deal it would take to get me to commit to the drive. He called me back with a price I thought was reasonable based on my research. I was pretty emphatic that making the approximate 70 mile drive one-way from McKinney to Burleson for this particular vehicle was a big commitment on my part, and any changes to what we had discussed would result in me buying from the other dealer. I ended up arriving at the dealership at about 7:15 PM and was glad to see that the vehicle we had discussed was parked in front (with the same options as discussed!). The only added option that wasn't noted on Ford's web search was the front window tint (read on). Long story short, while I was fully prepared to walk out without making a deal, I didn't. I was fully expecting the typical "There's no way my manager will approve that - but I'll ask anyway" run-around, but I experienced none of that. Jonathan Jones was great and was very professional, and handled everything quickly. I honestly felt like the whole deal-making part of it had already been done over the phone, which was great. I have never left a dealership after buying a car and not had something that I could complain about, from the salesman, to the New Car Manager, to the Finance Manager...This time was different, in a very good way. The only thing that took a while was with the Finance Manager having to go over all of the extended warranty options. Even that was bearable, and I left feeling very good about the whole experience. We were also pleasantly surprised at how the dealership handled our front windows never being tinted when we bought the car. Our contract showed front window tint, but it was cold and storming on the night that I bought the car and we overlooked this work not having been done. We finally had the windows tinted this past week, some 9 months later, along with a replaced washer fluid hose, oil change and tire rotation. The delay in getting the windows tinted was our own due to the long drive, so they can't be faulted for that. They apologized for the oversight and put me in a free rental car. We rate this car buying experience a 5 out of 5. Not just overall, but in every aspect. Just wish they were closer to McKinney.Thank you. He gave me the Royal treatment No pressure whatsoever. I really didn't… expect to leave there with a 2015. This is First time I've ever owned a brand new car. by Magz8 on 06/07/2015My wife and I went in to look at the new mustang and were in a buying position so we decided to go check it out and see if it was a good fit. Arriving at the dealership we were confronted by a sales person who I didn't find out what his… name was until we were in in office. We asked to look at a certain color mustang and he was too lazy to move the car behind it in order for us to test drive it. He asked if we just wanted to sit in it. Who just sits in a car and then decides if its a good fit? Not too many people. So I was just assuming since we were a younger couple he didn't take us seriously. So after I told him, well if my wife loves the car were going to purchase it, then he changed his mind. After test driving the mustang we felt it was a perfect fit and decided to work the numbers. What they didn't realize is, I actually work at a dealership and know how the process works. After telling them what I wanted for our trade which was meeting them in the middle the sales manager Robert Howard who I could tell was new and unexperienced was very unprofessional. After my final offer was made he wasn't too happy with it and I could hear the whole conversation between the sales person and him. "No, I don't want to meet him because all im going to do is embarrass him in front of his girl" said Robert Howard. I spent 9 years in the Marine Corps and I was not going to be embarrassed or treated that way by a so called professional. So disappointed with wasted time and how they weren't willing to work with a veteran my wife and I left the dealership. The only thing that brought us back was the General Manager apologizing for Robert Howards actions and gave us the money we wanted for the trade. Im a pretty laid back guy and just wanted to be treated with fairness and dignity. For the record the only reason I entertained the idea was because of the trade. The saleman didn't know anything about the car and never introduced himself. Wasn't a very pleasant or memorable experience for my wife and I. This should be a fun and memorable experience getting a new car, not what we were put through. My husband and I have always received wonderful sales and service that keeps us coming back. My first visit honestly was because it was in my town but all the return… trips have been because of the sales personnel, the pricing of the vehicles, and the vehicles. I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape. I love, love, love this vehicle. I've even had people come up to me in the parking lot and ask me about it. We took a vacation and drove 3200 miles in this vehicle. Met with Mr. Gil M. and it was smooth sailing after that. Mr. Gil gets five stars, but an… ill timed phone call at my home by a manager turned me off.
