Switch and Bait
On Saturday I decided to go to Bald Hill Dodge, Jeep in Warwick, RI. I saw a Grand Cherokee 2014 Black online and was interested to buy that vehicle. After I was greeted Jim the sales rep. showed me the car and explained a few features of the SUV. We went back to the office and after a short negotiation we agreed on a price. Jim started to fill out the paperwork for the sale (as I had a truck to trade in). I need to get some papers from my house and agreed to return in an hour. On my way out I got stopped by Mike (not sure what his role was) he posed as a manager and came across very arrogant (oh well) not a big deal. As soon as I arrived at home to prepare the papers I get a phone call from Jim (Bald Hill Dodge) telling me we have a problem and a solution. The problem the car that I just agreed to buy was already sold. The solution I have a similar model (in silver) and for ~US$ 1500.00 more. That sounds to me very much like bait and switch (not a good sales practice). I told Jim I am not interested in the deal. I hope this is not standard sales practice a Bald Hill Dodge otherwise their customers will not be happy. It was a frustrating/disappointing experience and I will with certainty not return to Bald Hill Dodge. I am glad we have choices with car dealers.
Chris Bennett and the Ball Hill team are amazing!
My boyfriend and I just purchased a new 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport from Bald Hill and I have to say our experience was amazing. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Chris Bennett. It's not often you can hear someone say they had a pleasurable experience with a car salesman. Chris far exceeded our expectations of customer service and I am truly floored, especially after so many bad experiences at other dealerships. We were in a tough situation with an upside down trade-in, little money down and less than decent credit, but Chris worked incredibly hard to get us into something affordable and reliable. Chris even worked off hours to communicate with us since our schedules are all kinds of crazy. He was never pushy or dismissive, especially when we postponed our car search due to a tough financial time. He was also incredibly patient with the back and forth because my boyfriend and I didn't see eye to eye on the type of transmission. We were constantly changing our minds on what numbers to run and what we actually wanted. Despite being such pains he never got annoyed with us which again, I can't say about other dealerships. We did go to several other dealers and no one could compare to the service we received here. We worked with Jason to sign our lives away and he was also great. He took the time to explain what we were signing for and had a real conversation with us during the time. He made a personal connection instead of just treating us like another signature. Before I left, I spoke with Dustin, the sales manager, to make sure he knew how amazing our experience was with Chris. He was also very, very nice and appreciative of my positive feedback. Managers are always prone to hearing the bad things, but rarely ever get to hear the good. Our visit wrapped up with a quick photo of my boyfriend and his new Jeep taken by Joe, the digital marketing and client relations manager who again, was great. My coworker mentioned wanting to find his wife a new Jeep, so I happily passed along Chris's info to him. Overall my experience with Chris and the team at Bald Hill Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram was wonderful and I would not hesitate to refer anyone their way. Great jobs guys, and Chris, thank you for everything!
Rude High Minded
Poor salesmanship. Rude personnel, and high minded Wished to test drive a vehicle and the sales person would not allow me to drive over 45 miles per hour. Furthermore, I was treated as just another person. Salesman did not explain anything about the vehicle, but only rushed me to his desk to draw up a sales agreement. I have a show vehicle which was the lead vehicle in the motorcade in Lansing, Michigan at the 100th Anniversary Oldsmobile Celebration in 1997. One would think that I might be driving the 2013 Dodge Challenger too fast. In addition to this, Bald Hill Dodge did not honor the $25.00 gift card I was to receive upon test driving the vehicle. I purchased a new 2013 Dodge Challenger Sxt Plus elsewhere, with more options, and at a much lower price. [non-permissible content removed] By the way, the salesman rode with me for the test drive, apparently feeling that I was not able to drive alone. I only drove to Bald Hill Dodge with my show vehicle, and parked at the front door. When I purchased at another Dodge dealer, the salesman said, "Here's the keys, take the car for a ride". They placed plates on the vehicle and moved back inside. No cares, or worries as to how I may treat the vehicle. "Trust" is the key word which Bald Hill Dodge doesn't have in their vocabulary. In Response to Bald Hill Dodge: I was never allowed to take the vehicle on the highway. Online code was produced for the $25.00 certificate, and presented to the sale associate. No certificate was ever given, as Bald Hill Dodge lied flat out in this respect. Furthermore, my show vehicle is worth more than the vehicle I drove. P.S.- Bald Hill Chrysler Dodge removed this comment from Google+, and or hid the name of Bald Hill Dodge: now referring to the dealership as Bald Hill Automotive Group

My wife and I purchased Journey from salesman Paul. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car from the inside and out. He was very personable, easy going. It was a pleasurable experience to purchase our vehicle from him. Also Steve in finance, excellent customer service. They were great!! I was looking to buy a used car and the salesman, Louie R. helped me to find exactly what I was looking for. He found something in my price range, with the features I wanted, and provided me with all the background on the car. The whole sales process went very smoothly. Louie was very knowledgeable and made me feel quite at ease. I felt comfortable that the dealership would stand by the promises of good service. If you are looking for a good car and a great company to back their product, go to Bald Hill Dodge in Warwick. We have bought several vehicles new and used from this company through Louie R. and have had great experiences each time. Louie is a very knowledable man and will do whatever it takes to put you in the right car for you. He will not push you to buy a car that you dont feel is the right one. For example, we went in a few months ago browsing for a car for our daughter after graduating High School, she saw the Dodge Avenger and liked it, but they did not have one that fit all her needs (or should I say WANTS), Louie walked us through all the cars there and when she said there was not one there for her, that was that. We went back to our car and drove off. No pressuring or trying to push us towards another type of car just an thanks for coming in and a hand shake. About a month later my husband went in for service on our Grand Caravan and went upstairs to look around and found a car with most of the perks she was looking for so we went in and she looked it over and was so happy. Within an hour she was off in her new car. Louie and the two Steves and the dealership make us feel like friends everytime we go in, whether its to buy a new car, used car, or to just look around while waiting for our 3 month services to be done.
New to us 2006 Dodge Caravan
We recently purchesed our 2006 Caravan from Bald Hill Dodge. Our salesman Dave Connetti was the best! This is the second vehicle we have bought from Dave and I can say for certain he is the best you could ask for. We never feel any kind of pressure when looking for a car,he answers all our questions honestly,and he always makes you feel comfortable. With this puchase he even came in on his day off so we could pick it up, which happened to be a Sunday! In the future we always plan to see Dave for our purchases, and know for sure we will always be satisfied with our vehicles from Bald Hill Dodge!
