Best car buying experience ever

I purchased a new 2016 Azera from Greg Slater last week. He and his team did a fantastic job tracking down the exact car I was looking for and working around my schedule. I even had to run out while we were signing the paperwork and they calmly waited for us to return. This is our 15th new car, and without a doubt the most enjoyable sales experience.

Sandy and Hyundai of Newport best dealer I've purchased car from. I'm dad manager of family fleet that at has included Saab, Volvo, Honda, Volkswagen, Mazda, & Toyota. So that is saying a lot. Professional, honest, upfront and reasonable in all aspects. As bonus, paperwork was 10 minutes. No 2 hour ordeal like other dealers.

Long distance buying experience

I worked with Rohan at Hyundai of Newport to purchase a Sonata Hybrid Plugin. I live almost 500 miles away from the dealership, but they were the closest dealer that had the car we wanted. I was able to negotiate the details of the purchase over the phone. Rohan went out of his way to make sure that all the details of the purchase were correct before I made the trip to pick up the car. When I arrived, all of the paperwork was ready to go. There were no surprises or changes. Rohan was one of, if not the most professional salesman that I have worked with. He took time to talk to my family and I when we arrived and made us feel right at home. Leah, the finance/business manager was just as professional as Rohan. There was zero pressure to add any extras (extended warranty, paint protection, VIN etching, etc.) This the best car buying experience that I have had! Definitely worth the drive.

Enjoying my Santa Fe sporting right now......

Got a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe sport 2.0T AWD with ultimate package from them by the end of March 2016. Loved it so much as of today (April 25, 2016, I may not be able to stop posting in the future as my satisfaction continues). Thank Bill Germano and Alan Toti from Hyundai of Newport to make this happen. I have worked with many other Hyundai dealers, but got the best offer from them. Of course, negotiating price won't be easy and you need to do good homework, especially looking at true car price. Dealers want to make profit for a living just as we want to get the best deal with the money we earned by hardworking. I can't make more comments on price negotiation here because in my special case we talked about only one price from the very beginning. Once the price negotiation is done, no more hassles. I was actually preparing other fighting on the price, but nothing happened. They work very efficiently to finish all the paper work, get the registration and the financing. My initial credit application from Hyundai Motor Finance was rejected, but Alan and Bill turned it over. Some other comments: a. Their 'no negative review' on google+ really means something, especially for car dealer business. I don't quite believe it until I made a deal with them. b. Their building is not fancy at all compared with other Hyundai dealership. If you have some hesitation on this (along with many other hesitations when you are a first car buyer, just as me), here is the point: this might be a reason they can offer a more competitive price, because car buyers eventually pay for the fancy buildings. c. Last but not least, give them a try before you get a Hyundai. I may worth your 2 hour driving to get there.

I recently bought my second car from David Brock at Hyundai of Newport and again I was completely satisfied with the experience and deal I received. After I bought my first car from David, I moved to CT and dealt with a Hyundai dealership there. Although the dealership in CT was OK, when I decided to buy a new car? I didn't think twice about driving back up to RI (3 hr drive) to buy again from David. I love the 2014 Elantra GT I bought (certified pre-owned). Hyundai of Newport could have sold it to me as is by simply saying "you are getting a good deal" which it was. Instead Hyundai of Newport went well beyond fixing all the little details I requested to be fixed. (there were many) When I drove off the lot in my 2014 Elantra GT, I was 100% happy. David and the Hyundai of Newport dealership had one goal and that was to make my second buying experience with them better than the first and it was. I highly recommend David Brock and the Hyundai of Newport Dealership if you are looking for a new/ or verified pre-owned car. Buying a car can be stressful, but I felt much more at ease buying from David and that is because he and Hyundai of Newport are good at what they do, believe in their product and most importantly back up it with great service.

An outstanding experience in buying a car!

I have always had suv's up until recently. My very tired Volvo was needing to be replaced. I talked with friends who had purchased cars over the last year or 2 and many of them were Hyundai's and of those Hyundai's, the vast majority of them had been purchased from Hyundai of Newport. I visited the dealer in the middle of February 2015 on several occasions. On each occasion ,the interactions that I encountered with the sales ( as well as finance) staff were beyond stellar. They answered all of my questions with very good detail so that after 2 visits I was ready to purchase. The car I selected was a blue Hyundai Elantra Limited. The process was smooth and seamless . To say that I am pleased would be a gross understatement. From the sales\finance staff to the service department staff, I can truly say that I have never met a group of more friendly, knowledgeable and honest and direct people in my life. Hyundai of Newport takes impeccable care of you when you buy your car there and they continue that care when you bring your car in for scheduled maintenance \service. It is always easy to get an appointment at a good time and if by chance you can not stay with the car, and need to get to work, they will supply you with a loaner car ( almost brand new Hyundai's kept in pristine condition.) that you can keep until your car is ready. AND, if you are unable to get your car into Hyundai of Newport for service, Hyundai of Newport will send a driver out with a loaner car to your area ( Jamestown\Aquidneck Island area) and swap cars with you leaving you with the loaner and taking yours into for service. he will repeat the process for you ( if needed) when your car is ready. Unless I was far away, there is no way that I would ever take my car to any other location for service other than Hyundai of Newport. They set the bar of excellence to the highest possible level and in my opinion all Hyundai Dealers should follow their model. I personally can not believe that I waited this long to get my first Hyundai. A final note.. Many dealers will add ( either as a sticker on the back of the car or some sort of license plate frame indicating where the car was purchased. In the past I have never had a thought one way or the other and usually removed them. I have kept the license plate frame from Hyundai of Newport on my car and it will stay on there until it wears out. I am very proud to let other's know where I purchased my Hyundai and l can 100% say that I will always buy Hyundai's and I will always buy them at Hyundai of Newport. The service department is the best. They are friendly and proficient. I dealt with Michael this time. I told him I would be back at 11 am. My car was ready and running at the door to the service department when I came back at 11 am. They left a chocolate chip cookie and a bottle of spring water for me in the car. Recall Notice

We received a recall notice on my wife's 2008 VeraCruz regarding oil leaking from the valve cover gaskets. The oil would leak onto the alternator & could possibly cause an electrical failure. I notified Scott & Brian from the Service Department and they had the problem fixed within a week. Another great experience w/ the Service Department @ Newport Hyundai.

I just want to say on my last two visits to Hyundai Newport, that I received exceptional customer service from Mike, for the inspection of my 2006 Tucson, and from Brian and Jake, for my 2013 Sante Fe. Mike went the extra mile to ensure that my Tucson would not be failed because I put a clear cover on my license plate without being prompted to. Brian, Jake and the expert service technicians at Hyundai Newport, found during a routine oil change that someone had inserted a plastic tie in my brake caliper. What does this tell me that's important about Hyundai of Newport you may ask? Well it tells me that they are going the extra mile in ensuring that my vehicle is 110% safe for my family and me, that they are attention to detail driven, and have given me great confidence and trust that I and my family are safe in our Hyundai vehicles. Especially in light of all of the recent recalls from other dealers for life threatening deficiencies in their products. If you are looking for value for you dollar, then buy Hyundai of Newport. If you are looking for excellence and fair treatment in maintaining your vehicle, then take it to Hyundai of Newport. Whining Noise

Had a whining noise that had gotten worse on my wife's 2008 VeraCruz. The noise would go away when the engine became warm. I actually took an audio recording of the noise & texted it to one of the service writers (Scott). Scott suggested dropping the vehicle off so the techs could get a better location of the noise. Scott called me back the next day w/ a diagnosis of the problem (bad power steering pump). I had the repaired vehicle back by the end of the week. Scott made sure the vehicle was clean when we picked it up. Scott & Brian in service have been awesome to deal with. We might be in the market for a new SUV shortly. We will definitely give Newport Hyundai a crack at the title.

worst experience

worst experience ever from a dealership! !! Drove 2.5 hrs through a rain storm. To be lied to. I wanted to purchase a "certified" Sonata that was listed on their site and auto trader. Arrived test drove it. The sales woman was very nice. I told her I wanted to know more about the warranty. They came back to say it would cost $1300 more then what it's listed. The manager would not negotiate at all. I left. I emailed him later about the listings online and about how unhappy I was. No response. Don't recommend this place at all....
