SERVICE FOR 2018 CHEVY EQUINOX

byGL52000on 06/29/2018

Had my free oil change and tire rotation. Experience was as expected. Personnel were courteous and very helpful. My Sales Man, Alex Petroff, was also there and came in early to be sure my needs were met.

getting charged much more than the original estimate

bySunriseon 08/02/2017

I have a 2010 Malibu (V6 engine) that had a misfire problem on cylinder #4. It took the dealership more than two attempts to diagnose the problem. The cost estimate was in the range of $1100 to $1500 but the service adviser told me that the final charge will be $1900 plus tax. They are charging 18 hours of labor for replacing engine gasket while the labor rate for similar jobs on the Internet is about 12 hours.

2016 Chevrolet Equinox

byRandy2198on 03/29/2016

From the time we walked in the door at Lawrence Chevrolet we felt comfortable. From the receptionist to the salesperson Kim Nash to the sales manager to delivery we were pleased. We had an offer for the same vehicle lower from another dealer but because of the attitude, the professionalism and the knowledge, we felt in the long term we were better to purchase at Lawrence.

Lack of accountability

byRebecca1115on 12/14/2013

My husband and I have been using Lawrence Chevrolet for service on our Tahoe for the past three years. Our latest experience with their service was disappointing to say the least. We took our vehicle there to get an oil change and tire rotation. The same day we picked up our vehicle a warning sensor appeared on our dashboard stating our tire pressure monitoring system was malfunctioning. We called them and were told that the technician forgot to reset it so we should bring it in and they would do so. After we took it to have it reset we got home and the light came back on two days later. We called again and this time were told to make an appointment. We made the appointment and took our vehicle in for the third time. I waited for them to check the car and was greeted by their service employee who informed me that the sensor was damaged and needed replaced, the total cost would be $170! I asked to speak to the service manager who insisted that the sensor was not damaged when the tires were rotated, even though the warning light did not appear until a few hours after the tire rotation was performed, and that the responsibility to fix it was ours! I was shocked! To make things even more interesting a technician who was in the waiting room with me informed me that the sensor had to have been damaged when the tires were being rotated. I left the garage with my warning light on and it's still on. I will NEVER go back to Lawrence and wanted to share this experience so others will know how they treat their loyal customers!!

service department has a lot to be desired!!!

byrbeamon 05/12/2011

Their service department has a lot to be desired!!! They never fix all that is wrong with my 2008, $58,000 truck that I bought from them. (well they will take a better look at it when the warranty runs out) They don't put proper maintenance logs down. Every time that it goes in they blame the driver, then you have to fight to prove them wrong. (which is all of the time) The one time the office blamed the mechanic for not doing his job on telling that the truck needs an alignment from factory. This is the start of my list of complaints I have from them. I even had my Ex-wife, Mom, Dad, and a friend take the truck in different times and they all had to fight with them as well. The problems still exist with my truck.
