great experience

by shirlgallagher on 01/17/2017

I had the best car experience with Reedman. There was no haggling and no pressure. I went in with one thing in mind and that was to get a great experience with my car purchase and I got that. Pete C. was patient, professional, knowledgeable and most of all an excellent salesman. I would totally recommend Pete!

STAY AWAY

by jeep125 on 12/30/2015

Terrible service. The worst experience I have ever had at a shop. I had an 8:00 AM appointment for an inspection and check on some service lights on Monday and my new used car was not even looked at until Tuesday morning at which time I was told it would be all done by 4:00 PM. At 4:30 I was called to say my car needed brakes to pass inspection and the emissions was good. However, they didn't have brakes for a Wrangler in stock (how does a Jeep dealership not have brake pads in stock for a Wrangler) and would not get them until today, Wednesday. I call them at 11:00 AM today to find out the status of my car and they tell me its almost done and I can come over. I again reiterate that all it needed was brakes and a speed sensory to pass inspection. They responded yes. I was excited as I bought the car in New Jersey where it had failed inspection and had a red fail sticker on the front windshield. You guessed it, when I arrived at 3:00 today the car was in the parking lot with no inspection sticker and the red NJ failed sticker still on it. After immediately starting in on them the service writer tell me they were just "preparing the car for inspection", and "I had not approved the $54 for the inspection" (lie) I responded how moronic that sounded given the fact I approved over $700 in other repairs. What shop lets a car with temporary tags and 10 days to get an inspection done leave without the inspection and a big red fail sticker still on the windshield. So now we are going into day 4 and I still don't have my car. They could have rebuilt the engine by now. Poor communication, incompetence, and absolute lies. Stay away!

Dishonest service

by Mattg1986 on 12/26/2015

Brought my car in for inspection and a brake issue. Was quoted $1700 for repairs, but a quick google search revealed the fair price sum to be about $700. Also found out later a lot of their recommended repairs were baseless and total lies to sell services. Don't make any fast decisions with these people. Get a second opinion. That being said when I bought my new car there 3 years ago it was at a good price. The finance office of course trys hard to wheel and deal you. But the service department is where they make the big money.

Excellent 5 stars

by 1happycustom14 on 05/21/2015

I purchased a preowned 2012 Chevy Cruz LTZ from salesman Travis Gilliam and my experience was excellent! For the price of the car, to the extreme professional and friendly service from everyone, I give a 5 star rating and have already referred friends and co-workers to Reedman-Toll and Travis for their next car purchase. And I will be back soon with my daughter for her first car purchase.

Never disappoints

by johnh0502 on 04/04/2015

Bought my first car from Reedman's in 1977, been going back ever since. They never disappoint. Back again this week, explained to my salesman Pete Conti what I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend. Never any pressure, he worked the numbers and I drove out for less money in a better car, options wise then I was expecting.

Salesman was OK...The people after the salesman were the most unprofessional [non-permissible content removed]'s you can deal with...Had the license plate in my hand with 1 piece of paper to sign and the TOTAL price was off $1800 dollars...They told me they can beat the other dealers TOTAL price which seemed to be the case but they did not add fees and taxes which put them roughly $1700 over the other dealer...Wasted my time...Went to another dealer and received a price for the same van 2 thousand cheaper...No hassles...I would not only not recommend but will do all I can to let everyone know that this place is a fraud...They think they are smarter than you and they are far from intelligent...

Fraud Inspection Sticker

by bgelliott on 04/16/2014

Purchased a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. The inspection sticker showed it was inspected when they received the car (according to car fax). However, when I looked at the car there was a crack in the windshield, bad vibration, oil not changed (dirty oil) and a fluid leak. The claim they changed the oil but it still had the reminder sticker from where the previous owner took it. Keep in mind the car was already inspected. They did address the issues of the vibration (needed new rotors) and the crack in the windshield. However I was told they "fixed" the fluid leak just to come to find out the "cleaned" the fluid leak. I again took it back and WOW they fixed the leak. Besides the fluid leak this should have never been put on the lot with an inspection sticker since most of the items are PA Inspected related. Since the sticker was just "thrown" on the car I decided to have an independent mechanic review the car. Not to my surprise the car needs ball joints. Another inspected related item that should have been fixed. Spoke to upper management and they are unwilling to fix that problem. They are stating they has their best mechanic go through the car. The problem I have is that my extended warrantee company will prob refuse the claim because it is an inspected related item that should have been fixed at the dealership. Another issue is when I purchased my 2012 Camaro off of them I noticed on the certified paperwork that everything was just checked off as the mechanic did it in one swipe. After I had the car for about a month a notice a bad smell coming out of the vents. Come to find out that the cabin filter was never replaced, but it claims it was on the report. Too much sneakiness from Reedman. Even after speaking to my attorney they say it sound like they put profit before safety. Please take caution when buying a used car off of Reedman Toll. Also, I would advise not test driving the car on their test track as you will not get the real feeling for the car in real traffic. Good Luck!

Fantastic Experience

by vtdragani on 04/01/2014

I found the exact Jeep I was looking for through Edmunds and sourced it out at Reedman Toll. I was contacted promptly by their internet sales team. They were very helpful in getting me the price I wanted for the Jeep. After a few emails back and forth the final price was negotiated and I was happy with the quote. When the Jeep was available I was greeted by Tony C my salesman a very friendly and polite guy. Took it for a spin and made sure it was exactly what I was quoted. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I will be returning once my wife's car needs to be replaced. Included with the purchase is 2 years free oil changes and a safety kit which is being mailed to me. he business agent handling my paperwork was very pleasant to deal with (Debbie).

I delt with a 30 year veteran there named Pete C. He was fantastic. Not pushy at all, huge selection and gave me exactly the deal I wanted. I really have to say this was one of the best if not the best car buying experiences I've ever had.

Completely unethical

by JoeNeb on 12/23/2013

Simply put - these guys are unethical, and this is just not my opinion, but the opinion of other dealers in the area. Based on my personal experience, I know for a fact that the dealer in Princeton has "banned" them from all other cooperative business between dealerships. I live and work in Princeton, NJ and "purchased" a Dodge through the local dealer here in Princeton. The car I wanted was at the Reedman lot. I put a deposit on the car and got confirmation from Reedman that they would send it over -- a standard dealer "swap" that is done all of the time by reputable dealerships. I put a 2k deposit on the car on Wed and was promised a Friday delivery. Reedman sold the car to another customer on Saturday. They not only screwed me, they screwed another dealership. Total [non-permissible content removed]. All you have to do is read the reviews on them -- the leadership if this dealership obviously doesn't give a hoot about what people think of them. They are the type of people that give car dealerships a bad name. STAY AWAY. If you are looking for a reputable dealer in the area, try Baker in Princeton, NJ -- they went out and found me another call and made it "worth my while" on their dime.

I guess I was Lucky

by key1cc on 09/30/2012

Seeing the bad reviews here I guess I got lucky. I used the internet and they had my exact car on the lot. 10:00 friday night I requested a quote and by 10:00 Sat morning I got an email from the internet manager indicating someone would contact me shortly but if I had any questions I could call him. I immediately called and received an offer $1200 below MSRP. I told him since it is the end of the quarter and the end of the month...make it an even 1500 below and you got a deal. He accepted and held the car for me as sold with a meager credit card deposit. I went in and the car was ready, test drove it signed the papers and all was/is well. The only part I could do without is when they send you to a seperate area to apply a little (not too much) pressure to try and get you to by an extended warranty...but I won't hold that against them for trying.

Do Not buy from this dealer!

by hate_rdmantoll on 06/02/2011

Purchased a 2003 Ford Focus in Feb. Drove it off the lot. On highway exactly 3 minutes later & the battery light comes on. Needed a new alternator. They replaced it for free. After this though it was ALL down hill! Two weeks later needed rotors resurfaced. They owed me a new rim. I had to call them a few times, 2 months later they order it. I drive up and it's the wrong type. Then they order the one that matches the rest and tell me they can't give me gas even though last time I drove up because of their mistake ( they are located 30+ minutes from my house). A week later there is a grinding noise and it sounded like a flat tire thump when driving straight and a helicopter when turning. Apparently they do their own "inspections" and they put a nut on wrong or something. They had to order/ replace a hub assembly, bearings and shaft. Even though it was THEIR mistake which they admitted they made me pay the deductible to fix the problem. WAIT it gets worse, they call me and say the key is stuck in the ignition!!!!! I have never had a problem with this! They make me pay for the part and labor. My husband calls 3 days later and asks if he can pick it up. The person on the phone says yeah, but the key is still stuck. When it was finally done we went to pick it up. I get into it and the radio is gouged on the screen and numbers. The heater control bezel scratched, and trim piece around the radio is scratched! They didn't even tell me! The associate who I spoke to before leaving was very nice, documented everything with a camera, and the parts were reordered. Later they call and say,"I hope you don't mind, but this radio has the buttons on the bottom." WOW, that was an understatement it also does not work! I called them over two weeks ago and told them I want the same type of radio I had before they scratched it. They haven't called me back. My husband says to not deal with them anymore, and not to leave my car with them. He is an airplane mechanic and can not believe they didn't tell me about the scratches before I came. He told me we should just buy a new radio. I don't think so. They owe me a radio and not some 1980's reject one. Also, the "new" poorly designed radio before completely dying would go off and then back on every time you hit buttons 2-5. Apparently you can remove this piece. It is so poorly designed, and they are so poorly managed. Bottom line, these people are a nightmare. Some of the people who work there are very nice, but as far as some of the mechanics, the Ford service manager, and his manager they have been a thorn in my side to put it nicely! PS: When I do get my radio I am not leaving my car there nor waiting for it. I just can't let them work on my car anymore. They just don't know how to.

NO WAY! GO ELSEWHERE!

by markrs68 on 01/13/2011

Went there to buy a Mazda 6, only because they had the car in the color I wanted and with exactly all the options that I needed. I spoke with the internet sales manager first, and discussed price, etc., Told her I was coming at 6, of course when I got there she was gone for the day, (she could have told me, as I would have rescheduled). the salesman I was stuck with was OK but very young. My problem is with the finance department. Even though I was already approved and had the blank check in my hand the finance process and the manager were both horrific. She even took two personal phone calls while I was there which only added more time to the already unnecessarily long transaction. she tried to sell me all the warranties that the dealership gets paid on and which I refused every single one of the. got out of the dealership after 10pm! Was shuffled through the introductions of various other departments. I guess they knew that they sold a car based on brand reliability and not any particular skill on their part. I will be taking my Mazda6 to a local dealer for parts, service AND accessories. Reedman can keep their free car wash and free oil change! I won't be returning and certainly won't be recommending them to anyone. they lost their niche in the business of auto sales. too bad, they were one of the best in the past....

Waste of time...shop elsewhere for HONESTY.

by ministerpaul08 on 07/27/2009

Recently shopped for Chrysler 300c since the incentives were great. My Fico was 676 so I figured I would go through GMAC. The salesman appeared nice at first, but once they ran the credit the cold shoulder came. I initially explained my situation I had with a mortgage company who attempted to steal my late father's home, which required me to file bankruptcy on behalf of the estate and later a lawsuit that led to a favorable settlement. GMAC reviewed the bankruptcy and did not consider it in their decision but did not agree with the terms submitted by the dealer. These terms are still unknown to me as the salesman still has not called me to discuss price or trade in value. It was only when I called did they tell me that I would have to choose a lower priced car. I refused since the cars they were referring to are pure JUNK and the reason why chrysler went into bankruptcy. Reedman guaruntees approval for credit score 620 and below with GMAC. This is false advertisement as GMAC lowest FICO requirement is 620. This was 3 weeks ago and those same Chrysler 300c cars are still sitting on their lot. I'm glad it didn't go through, because the depreciation of those cars would be staggering.

Buyer Beware

by hook104 on 04/17/2008

I recently went to Reedman-Toll Dodge after they were highly recommended. I took a test drive of a new Ram 1500 and due to the late hour returned the following day to work up a deal. I returned the following day and began the process of negotiation, which began easier than at most other dealers. Only problem that happened is that the sales person forgot to give me credit for my trade-in, but made sure to put the pay off number in the deal. I left the dealer, and phoned the sales person on my way home and pointed out the error. Initially he disagreed with me, but after a few minutes and a review of his paperwork, he apologized for his mistake. The salesperson called me the following day on my way to a work meeting, again apologizing for their error and asked what we could do to make a deal. They gave me numbers on a BRAND NEW Ram 1500 that was a little higher priced than what I was looking for, but it was the only vehicle that had what I wanted in it. (Side note-they did not show me this vehicle on the prior day because it was not on the lot with the other vehicles) I drive out and meet with the salesperson. According to the salesperson, the manager wanted me to take a test drive of that particular vehicle. I said to work up the numbers, and it was insisted that I drive the vehicle. The sales person drives me to the test track and then informs me that they just found out that the vehicle had over 1300 miles on it. The sales person even went so far as to state that their sales manager did not want to tell me. So I then inspect the vehicle from top to bottom. There was damage to one of the doors that needed to be repaired and painted. When I inspected the passenger compartment it was bizarre. The front cup holders had debris in them showing that someone had been using the vehicle. Inside the top portion of the center console I found food crumbs, which I pointed out to the salesperson, who was now getting visibly upset and nervous/embarassed. I checked the under font seat storage and found liquid stain rings from where it appeared that a soda had been placed. There was also a brass nub from jeans in between the fron passenger seat and seatback. I then moved to the rear portion. The rear seat passenger cupholders were filthy from use as well. I lifted up the rear seat and found a jellybean, some plastic Easter grass and a chewed off fingernail!!!! I pointed all of this out to the sales person and advised them that there was no way I was paying what they were asking for a truck that is not new. Upon returning to the showroom, one of the sales managers asked what I thought and I made it a point to show him everything that I had found and added that whomever detailed the truck should be embarassed. I was then brought to another sales manager and then the games began. Because the vehicle has not been titled or registered it is considered a new vehicle, however I was never told it was a DEMO, I was told it was new. In their minds they did not lie to me, in my mind that is a breach of trust...tell me before we proceed so that you do not waste my time or your time. The sales manager asked what did I want to do, I replied make me an offer. He refused to do so and then then stated that generally they give 10 cents a mile for mileage. Offering me $130 compensation on a vehicle that is well out of break in period, and continued to want me to tell them what I wanted to make a deal. I excused myself to make a phone call and remained outside for several minutes. I returned inside and advised the salesperson I was leaving. The Manager asked what my mechanic said to me on the phone and I explained he said to leave, I was there for a new vehicle, not a demo vehicle. I left and was followed out by the sales person. I explained to him, that I would not be setting foot in this dealership ever again and that I would never buy anything from that dealership due to this experience. I also explained that even though th
