Lied to about airbag recall

I recently went to mccafferty hyundai to purchase a used car (2007 chevy suburban). Upon deciding to buy the vehicle I was given the vehicles car fax report by sales person Kimberly Dorsey. The report was clean besides an open recall (potentially fatal takata air bag defect). Kim assured me the recall would be fixed on monday before i took delivery of the car. Upon speaking to her monday to confirm the deal I was told the recall had not been taken care of but could be fixed free of charge at any local GM dealer. The following day after taking the car home I scheduled the recall service at my local chevy dealer. Only to be contacted by the service department to inform me there was no current fix for the recall. Kimberly Dorsey and James fitz- maurice were contacted immediately to cancel the contract and return the vehicle. Both denied having told be the recall was easily repairable. They also refused to take the unsafe vehicle back. The disturbing part is both knew i was purchasing the vehicle for my pregnant fiance and step children primary vehicle. Through many phone calls my fiance was able to get ahold of fred beans corporate office and James Fitz-maurice bosses and force him to comply with consumer protection laws and the retailers own 5 day return policy. He reluctantly complied with his boss and exchanged the vehicle for our trade. He did not even offer an apology for his own or kimberly dorseys deceptive sales tactics. BUYERS BEWARE!

New car shopping

Went looking @ 2016 Tucson SUV, and had a talk with sales rep Pat Saunders. What a great experience, after I explained my payment requirements, and what i was looking for Pat took the time to show/test drive two different models. I could not believe that there was NO sales hipe, no only for today or this is a deal for you. Sad to say, i was too far out of equity to move forward with a Tucson. Pat tried to make sure that I would NOT go over budget or push me with a high payment. He said it would be best to wait until later before getting into a deal that I would later regret. Where did you ever hear a sales rep tell you that. I will return to McCafferty Hyundai when the time is right. Really nice people to work/deal with. Respectfully Dennis

I just want to say I was very impressed with how patient and eager to help the woman I spoke to on the phone for my first appointment was. She assured me that my car will be taken cared of and greeted me by name as she kindly got my papers together for service.

Dear to whom thus may concern, On 11/5/2015 I called the service department because I am new to the area and I have a 2014 Nissan maxima I needed service on but the only numbers I can get ahold of was hyundais. So when I called I spoke to the most polite woman, I believe her name was rayven. Not only did she help me find what I was looking for, she gave me the address and phone numbers of all local Nissans. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone who owns a hyundai.

2013 Hyundai Sonata

I bought a new 2013 Hyundai Sonata Limited from McCafferty about 6 weeks ago. I was extremely happy with my salesman, Rich Y. He matched the price from a dealership further away without turning it into a negotiation. I didn't feel any pressure, and appreciated that he didn't try to take control of our conversation like every other car saleman does. I honestly don't have a single complaint, and would absolutely recommend him to friends and family. If you do your research and are well informed, which you probably are if you are reading this review, then you really hate when somebody tries to act like they are the expert on a particular car and they know what you need and what will make you happy. I went into the dealership interested in purchasing a new car, but not needing to buy one. Rich understood this, and dealt with me man to man, instead of expert to novice, which is why he will be my first contact the next time I am in the market for a new car.
