fast and convenient
Quick and easy
Patient and helpful staff. Have gotten 3 vehicles from there and always a good experience. Plus they remember to send an email on your birthday. Never got that at other dealerships.
2018 Toyota Rav4
My entire experience was hassle-free and easier than I anticipated. The salesman knew my time frame for leasing and did not make me rush into any decisions. He also was able to get the monthly payment I was looking for.
Mike was polite and explained the issues. His explanations were on target & I felt confident with his answers. I felt that he was attentive and actually enjoyed taking the car in.
Toyota Maint./State Insp.
I was originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 30. But then we had to change that to May 31. I called SLOANE about 7 PM, and Mark picked up the phone. He was able to get me in on Thursday, the 31st. I had waited too long, and needed to get in by the end of May for the state inspection, and we were also due the 80,000 mile maintenance. And the bonus, for a change, was no problems found. Yay. I requested a discount from my phone, which I had not printed out, and Mark took care of it. Thank YOU !
My service tech named Mike Graham took excellent care me and my car needs. When he came to tell me what other things that had to be addressed with the car he kept it personal so the other people was not in my car business. Thank you Mike Graham and Glenside Sloane Toyota
18 month maintenance was done in a timely manner and was covered by 24 month free maintenance.Have always received excellent service at Sloane Toyota.
A Used Lemon
I bought a used RAV 4, certified, that leaked from the minute I left the parking lot. I took it to Sloane several times----not fixed. So I took it to Team Toyota and they fixed the electrical problems that resulted from the leaks ( idiot lights going off & on, etc), but it still leaks. Took all of my paperwork to manager of Sloane and he referred me to his sales people who are trying to sell me a new, used car. They offered me trade ins from 2005, or a car with 150,000 miles on it. Yesterday after the rain there was about 1/2" of water under the drivers side rug. ( I had cut the rug open---2, 12" slits to empty the water out each time it rains.) They are slick and out for MONEY, boy. Customer Service and Repairs are incompetent. Buyers beware!
Sloane Toyota Glenside sold me a defective Corolla. It has been to their service center 6 times due to an ongoing rattling problem. I have had nothing but problems with this dealership. I would never recommend them. Stay away.
I just discovered that the Yaris I purchased from Sloane last summer did not include the jack that is supposed to come with it. It should be in the slot under the drivers' seat. The service manager, sales manager, and customer relations manager all failed to take ownership of the problem and supply me with the missing jack. Although the car and the deal are excellent I will never purchase another vehicle from Sloane.
Bait and Switch Tactic Worked
Using the internet I was looking for a 3 door Yaris. I had found the actual car I wanted at Sloane Toyota in Philadelphia. A red, 3 door Yaris. I had received pre-approved financing from Capital One which for some reason could be used at the Glenside Sloane, but not the Phila one. Phila Sloane had given me a quote for the vehicle by Chelsea, one of their "internet salespeople". When I spoke with Capital One, they asked that the car be moved to Glenside so I would be purchasing it from one of their approved vendors. Cassie, the salesperson, at Glenside Toyota had accepted the Philly car price t and told me that she would have the car moved to Glenside on Sat when I could come up and buy the car. Cassie was also an "internet" salesperson, but I didn't know what that was until I arrived at Sloane in Glenside and I was told that she isn't even on site. I spoke with Cassie Friday night and twice on Saturday (she is an "internet" salesperson), and was assured that the car would be on the lot at Glenside for me to purchase. She even reassured me when I called to say I would be a little late for my appointment. I arrived and told the older, poorly dressed Russian accented salesperson, Leo, who approached me that I had already spoken to Cassie and was there to see one specific car. He;s the one that told me that she was an "internet" sales person and he was the one to take care of the sale. I guess it was his "up" day to be on the floor. He took me inside, assured me that he was the one to help me and then proceeded to show me the 5 door Yaris while I maintained I was there for the 3 door that was supposed to have been delivered to the Glenside showroom. I asked Leo multiple times to see the Yaris I was told was there for me. Why I didn't just tell him to get his manager is regretable. Shame on me for being taken in by this salesperson who was acting like he had my best interest at heart. Eventually, after he kept leaving the desk to go speak to somone (and probably never did), he returned, told me not to be mad, but that the red one in Philly had been sold. I was mad. Not originally at the sales person, but at the fact that I had been duped into believing the company was credible. I should have walked out then, but realized that I had not been able to find another 3 door in the tristate area. Because I had been so adamant about the 3 door vehicle, Leo then showed me a used Scion that was too small (and overpriced) and eventually, with what is now buyer's remorse, I purchased the 5 door Yaris he had tried to sell me from the start. I know, I should have just walked away. I paid more than I wanted to, I am ashamed that I allowed this salesman to get the better of me, AND, turns out the 3 door Yaris in Philly wasn't sold until AFTER I had already agreed to the purchase of the 5 door Yaris in Glenside (I literally just got off the phone with Philly Sloan where this was confirmed). So, another new car purchaser who realizes after the fact how slick and unethical car salespeople are, probably a reflection of the Sloane establishement, at least in Glenside, as a whole. And to top it all off, I have called good old Sloane in Glenside twice today, including one call where I spoke with Leo the salesman, about retrieveing my EZPass that I unfortunately left in my old car on Saturday. I guess I will still be waiting until my car loan is paid off to hear from them. Should I even use this place for service? Who knows what happens there? I like the Toyota Brand, I like the car that I now drive, but it was NOT what I was told was available and I am now regretting that I didn't just take my business elsewhere.
A Respectful Sales Experience for my parents
I wanted to thank the entire staff at Sloane Toyota for the wonderful experience they provided to my parents in the purchase of their new Highlander Limited. My parents do not have the best grasp of the English language so I negotiated a deal on a Highlander the day before all the way from California and had them go to the dealer to execute the deal. I was a bit nervous sending them in expecting the deal I worked out to change but I am happy to report the dealership maintained their promise to me of ensuring my parents would get the deal as we discussed and treated them with the utmost respect throughout the process. They could not have been happier with the whole process and their new Highlander. Thanks again!
Excellent experience with Mark P
Salesman Mark P was a pleasure to work with. He was knowledgable about all models, patient with us as we took several days (and several visits to the dealer) to make our decision, and spent many hours with us in order to help us find exactly what we were looking for. Such a nice man and a great experience at Sloane!
