New family Outlander

by allkath14 on 02/09/2018

Michele was extremely helpful in finding us our new family vehicle within our budget. She was able to line us up with a kind salesman, Kurt, who showed us all of the features of our new car. Michele helped us get the most bang for our buck.

easy purchase

by fastfrank2 on 11/12/2015

I recently wanted to buy a durango and was shopping on the internet. I found several models at kellys and called for a test ride. the test lasted 3 hours with several models and a full education about the models from Joe our sales person. after learning I could not order the colors i wanted in the model i wanted from the factory. I settled on a car on there lot with more bells and whistles than I wanted but joe and brian the sales manager worked there numbers and put us in more car than we wanted for a reasonable and fair price. great company

If you will need service you shouldn't buy here

by JamesHenriques on 09/29/2015

Let me start with stating I have never once had an issue with the sales department here in any way and wouldn't hesitate to refer the sales side of the company. In the last 2 years I have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealer (Dodge Ram, Dodge Durango and Jeep Compass) and never once had issues in dealings with the sales people. My Durango wa once T-boned and once rear ended and both times I took the vehicle to the body shop at Kelly for repair and never had issues with them either. Sadly I can NOT say the same for the service side of the company and due to the lack of professionalism and ignorance displayed by them I will not spend one more penny at Kelly. I recently started having issues with my Durango when I would start it the thing would just shut off. At first I thought it was just me imaging things because it was before I put it in gear so I questioned myself to if I even started it so I let it go but then I started it and drove and upon stopping at a stop sign it shut off. I called Kelly and spoke with Dave in Dodge about the issue and if it was covered by warranty because I wasn't sure how long the warranty was. He proceeded to look up my car via the VIN and tell me it was 3 years/36000 miles and the problem I was having was electrical. I asked him how he would know this having not seen the vehicle and he abruptly responded that his 20 years experience tells him this. I further questioned that maybe it was the fuel pump or something like that and he got agitated that I questioned his knowledge. After multiple times of him stating his experience I decided to just let it be and move on. Shortly thereafter I called another local dealership (Sands in Quakertown) and spoke to them having a very similar conversation minus the ignorance and preaching on experience the lady explained that while it is only 36k mile warranty which I was over my car did have an open recall for a fuel pump censor that was likely causing the issue and proceeded to schedule my service for this recall. I can't help but wonder how someone with 20 years experience and someone who looked up my vehicle via the VIN never noticed or thought to look at this. How someone who is the service adviser for Dodge didn't know this issue, which had a recall for it, existed after probably servicing many Dodge vehicles for this same issue. How someone who specifically had the consumer bring up the fuel pump and it still didn't make any bulbs in his brain with 20 years experience go off. I would say that this is one employee in a department of many but I have had previous dealings with the service department manager that have not gone well at all either. The service department overall lacks management and leadership that fails to understand that they are a direct reflection on the company and therefore can cost the company business. As stated previously, this dealership has lost a client who has spent in excess of 106k in under 24 months due to one department that plays a pivotal role in the business. Note: I gave a 3 star review because I didn't feel it was proper to bring the overall star rating for the company down due to one departments professionalism.

Arrogant service personnel

by Xw00dsrac3rX on 02/23/2015

"I purchased a new Ram 1500 from Kelly last year, even after I was told not to by everyone in the area. I recently traded it and took my new 2500 there to get TSB and recall bulletins addressed and was met with "why did you come here" hinting at the fact I didn't by it there. I told him because it was a recall and any dealer can fix the issue per Chrysler. He was very arrogant and was standoffish. I had to leave to end the arguments that were beginning. I wrote an email to the service manager about the issue, asking to speak with him about it and never heard back. They are joke from the service department to the sales floor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We buy a new Chrysler product every year and will never go back here. In addition, I now make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid them. Our whole company takes our entire dodge fleet to another dealer 30 minutes farther away for service because Kelly is that bad.

Overheard Insults from Manager

by EnigmaScribe on 11/15/2013

I went into Kelly Dodge to test drive a 2014 Dodge Journey and get pricing information. After a good test drive, I was told that the finance manager was busy and was only given a range of what my monthly payment would be. (Not the total cost of the vehicle or the interest rate). I was asked to come back another night for more detailed information. 2 nights later I went back to the dealer to get my price quote. After 45 minutes of waiting, I received the offer, but only the monthly payment and not the final sale price or interest rate. I told my salesman that I would have to discuss this with my wife before making a decision and that she would was unable to come with me to the dealership for several days due to her work schedule. When the salesmen went back to the finance department, I overheard his conversation with the manager who made several comments such as "This deal is only good for today. What the **** is he doing here then?! Tell him to FedEx the **** form to her and get her to sign it! He needs to buy this car today, don't let him leave. Tell him to grow a pair and make a decision by himself". When the salesman returned I told him I overheard the conversation and that I was not buying the car. At that point, the finance manager who made those comments came over with a big smile, pretended like nothing happened, and asked what he needed to do to put me in the car today. When I told him I would not buy a car that my wife had not seen or driven yet, he offered to cut my payment by $40 a month, but would still not tell me the purchase price of the vehicle. I left shortly thereafter. After this experience, they have lost any chance of doing business with me or my family.

Service department cleans trade ins, and clears mechanical malfunction codes, then pushes used cars out the door as certified. When a faulty vehicle is brought back less than a month after purchase, they simply clear error codes again and say the issue is nothing, then try to sell an extended warranty.

150 Points of [non-permissible content removed]

by kellyshysters on 07/18/2013

Purchased a used Nissan Pathfinder, paid KBB fair market price for a vehicle in excellent condition. 1 week after purchase check engine light comes on, was delayed in reporting this, figuring it was just a missed maintenance reset for oil change reminder. When finally get back into dealership am told the vehicle requires over $1000 in repairs, and I should have purchased the extended warranty (even though the repairs wouldn't be covered under the extended warranty either). Took the vehicle back to dealer 3 times, where they proceeded to just reset the service codes and return the vehicle unfixed. Finally gave up on resolving the issues via dealer and took vehicle to personal mechanic. Repairs to date have included 2 new catalytic converters, a new power steering pump, fixed exhaust leak. When I confronted my sales person Joe A, I asked how their 150 point inspection missed all of these significant mechanical problems. His response was, "that's only a visual inspection, we only walk around the car and note any defects that are easily seen." When I threatened a lawsuit, I was laughed at and responded to with "...You're going to spend $4000 on a lawyer, to avoid $1000 in repairs?" I won't go into detail about the fraud Joe and his credit department engaged in to secure the loan they got me. If you are looking for a used vehicle in the lehigh valley I would recommend a reputable dealership like Bergey's or JL Freed. Avoid these [non-permissible content removed] at Kelly like the plague.

the vibrating challenger

by finger2 on 10/06/2012

bought a 2012 dodge challenger rt,had drive train vibrations from day 1,kelly said it was normal without even driving my car, tried to buy back my trade in but they wanted to give me 5 thousand less than paid after 3 months and 4 thousand miles and wanted ,they said customer satisfaction was their no 1 priority, well dont believe that, when you have a problem ,they dont ever call you back or try to fix it,car sales are their number 1 priority, after that "get lost"all over the internet are stories of chryslers with drive train vibrations problems, but kelly said its just my car,I am sure they new about it before they sold it to me,but again selling cars is their no 1 priority.just traded my vibrator in for a ford edge and got 2 grand more than kelly offered me,thats how much they care, the list of bs that went on with this is to long to write, I will never buy a chrysler product again, nor will I ever buy or recomend this dealership, they are far from customer orinted, anyone looking to buy chrysler or dodge should check the net about vibration issues and timming chain failures on challengers, chargers and 300s this car is an absolute drive train nightmare .buyer beware.
