Stress free car purchase

When our one year old vehicle was totaled in an accident, we suddenly needed to go car shopping. I knew I wanted another Toyota, the safety features of this car kept my teenage son safe in what was a very serious accident.I live in Chester Co but was in Lancaster for business. I popped into Lancaster Toyota to check out their inventory. They had a huge selection of models and colors in stock. The process of suddenly having to purchase a new car was made easy and stress free. Gus Photis at Lancaster Toyota is not a high pressure salesperson he returned my phone calls and emailed me detailed information. Gus is honest and kind NOT pushy. I appreciate that! The ease of upgrading with no money out of our pockets plus getting the same model and color that we wanted made the trade worth it. My wife and I have been servicing our Prius since new with Lancaster Toyota and are extremely pleased with the level of professionalism and courtesy we receive each time we have our car in for service. Steve Shepos and his staff are very accommodating and always go out of their way to ensure that we're being taken care of. We are kept abreast of the status of our vehicle and there are never surprises when we pick up our car from service. Don't know how they manage to make everything run so smoothly but we're delighted to be part of their family... The facility is first class and the coffee is free! We are huge fans. Two thumbs up!

My wife and I purchased a 2011 Mazda Miata the summer of 2013. Brad Allen was our salesman. He was personable and affable. He was well versed on the car. He didn't seem pushy at all and let my wife and I decide on our own if we wanted to purchase the car. After the purchase, he contacted us several times to check on our satisfaction. In a world that is lacking customer service I can truthfully say it has always been a pleasure to buy a new Toyota at Lancaster Toyota. I am reaching retirement at the end of this year after 47 years in printing with the same company. Therefore, I wanted to buy a new Toyota knowing that the Toyota cars are among the best in reviews by the Consumers Reports magazine My salesmen, Jon French listen very carefully to my financial needs when we met on two different occasions. He never pressured me to make a quick decision with the different options that I was considering at that time. When I made the my final decision to buy the car on my second visit with Jon French I was grateful to John Green who is the Senior Sales Manager at Lancaster Toyota to get me into the car that I really wanted and with a car payment that would fit my budget. What else could you ask for when a consumer is making a very important decision in his or her life. I also know from personal experience that their Service Department has always provided excellent service on the Toyota's I have own over the years. Their service department is immaculate which is a reflection how they car for your investment. We purchased a wonderful 2014 Avalon from Lancaster Toyota last week. Each time we went to the dealership, we had very little time. The manager, Rick Price, who was very friendly, did not play games with us. Our salesman was Ryan McCord - young, enthusiastic, kind, energetic, and helpful. He got right down to business and quickly got us a price and answered all our questions. We had done our homework, so we knew what we needed to close the deal. Ryan even came in on his day off to accommodate us. Everyone was very helpful and efficient. We love our new Avalon! Ryan could not have been more attentive. He was a great salesperson, not pushy at all. We would highly recommend him and Lancaster Toyota.

Last night I purchased a ne Camry from Art Wynne at Lancaster Toyota. From the door Art was a perfect gentleman to me and my wife, we talked about what we were looking for in a car and the price we wanted to pay. The Avalon was out of our price range but Camry was not and what a car great pick-up , easy driving, fantastic on gas, and many other things. I only wanted to look and Art let us do just that but after driving the Avalon and the Camry my wife and I were sold and the salesman didn't do it the car did. I think Art and Lancaster Toyota has a customer for life. Also, the Credit manager Rubin did a great job explaining to us all that we wanted to know and then some. Thank you Art and Rubin. I purchased a Toyota Certified 2011 Corolla from Lancaster Toyota/Mazda about a week ago and the experience was absolutely amazing! All of the staff are absolutely phenomenal and actually care about what you're looking for! Doug was my salesman and he was great at helping me find the car and even after the sale when I had a few issues with the car. Rick the General Manager of the dealership was even great in assuring me that the few minor issues I experience would be taken care of with no problem. Before going to LTM, I was shopping at MANY other different dealerships and none even came close to meeting the integrity of the people at Lancaster Toyota. They've earned a customer for life!! Don't think twice about going here.

A Little Better Than I Expected

As a adamant researcher (bordering on obsessive), I almost always know more about the cars I'm interested in then the average salesperson selling them. Which always baffles me! Lancaster Mazda was a little better than the average dealer in this regard. I went in to Lancaster Mazda already 90% sure I was going to buy a Mazda 3 or a Ford Focus. But I had to take a test drive before committing. I was willing to travel to any dealer with 150 miles to ensure I got a fair deal, so I didn't feel any pressure to buy quickly. Plus, I had a couple of poor service experiences with Lancaster Toyota over the years, so I was definitely not loyal to them. I had time to shop color, trim levels and really think through the process. And I had plenty of time to challenge my salesman Elliott E, to help me make a decision without any BS. To his credit, Elliott did not try to oversell or pressure me at all. He did a very good job giving me the space I needed to make a decision for myself. Had I felt pressured I would have gladly given my business to another dealer. Buying a car is a huge decision and nobody should be rushed into it. Elliott did about as good as could be expected with someone like myself. It took about 2 weeks or so for me to get comfortable enough to buy and believe that Elliott would do whatever it took to make sure I was happy. That's when I made an offer that I thought was fair based on my extensive research. It was the very high counter offer that they came back with that felt like a slap in the face. I didn't feel like they were taking me seriously at all and that all my time was wasted. Angry now, I spoke with the sales manager who explained Mazda's pricing structure in detail and why they don't offer rebates like Ford and others. He was able to lower the price a little more and assured me they could not go any lower. Still feeling a little suspicious, I contacted other dealers demanding an out the door price. Most of them were higher than Lancaster Mazda. Then I discovered that a co-worker's father was a Sales Manager at another Mazda Dealer that I hadn't contacted. He was able to confirm that the price was fair. With that reassurance I made the decision to stick with Elliott and Lancaster Mazda. If you do your research and don't make an emotional buying decision, I'm sure you can get a fair deal at almost any car dealer. But it's rare to find someone as patient and non-pressuring as Elliott E. I also have to give kudos to the Lancaster Mazda finance team, all the paper work went smoothly and pickup was easy.

Brake Pad Failure

Brake pad had to be replaced but the service manager did not provide history I gave him to the mechanic, no information was obtained to determine the cause of the brake pad failure, and parts were thrown out that I had requested be saved for me to see. While the car was there I was informed of additional things that needed to be done, much of which was obviously false. For example, the auxiliary battery went dead and I was told the alternator and start motor should be checked but the car is a Prius and has neither alternator nor start motor. I was told the oil needed to be changed because of mileage but they had no way of knowing when it was last changed. I was told the inverter fluid had to be changed because of particulates seen in it. It had been fine immediately before going there. However I did not know if something could have happened to contaminate the fluid while or after the car had been towed from my house, so I reluctantly allowed that to be done with the provision that the drained fluid be saved for me to see. No inverter coolant was kept for my examination and an excessive amount of coolant was put into the system causing the fluid to drip out after I drove the car home, alerting me to the excessive pressure. I found that the reservoir was filled to the top, far above the fill line. I also found that the reservoir itself had been damaged with chunks of plastic gouged out. The inverter system started giving trouble codes subsequently. The service manager refused to address any issues.

Nancy sale individual with class

On 5/22/14 I lost all my vehicle's to a hail storm in Reading. When I went to the local Toyota dealer that had no Corolla's on their lot. This is when I went to Lancaster Toyota and met Nancy G. She is a new sale individual that didn't act like one but instead she treated me the wait she want to be treated. This was completely a different experience, she was friendly, kinds and caring. Their was no pressure, the Lancaster management was fair and the facilities was clean. Everyone I talked to was friendly. In the end I left with a new Corolla and made a new friend (Nancy). When I am ready to buy another car and if it is a Toyota, I will go back to Lancaster Toyota and look for Nancy.

Happily Buying a Toyota

Last Thursday (06/04/2014), my wife and I - armed with the Consumer Reports 2014 Best Cars issue - went looking for a new mid-sized sedan. Our plan was to test drive the several top-rated Toyota, Honda and Ford products at local dealerships, select a car, and then make the purchase through our insurance company's pre-negotiated auto buying program. As it turned out, Lancaster Toyota Scion was our first and LAST stop! Before the sun went down, we were happily driving home in a new Camry LE (4-cyl.) We especially appreciated the helpful guidance of sales representative Joseph M. M. He introduced us to the range of Camry models (Hybrid XLE, XLE-V6, and LE-V4) as well as the Prius. Joe's description of each car was comprehensive, credible and easy-to-understand. He answered all our questions and concerns fully. He was patient and reassuring during our test drives of several models. Joe's friendly - yet highly professional -- manner put both of us at ease. He displayed none of the "high pressure" approach or tactics both my wife and I dread. Instead, he made us feel that we could rely on Toyota Scion to deal honestly with us. And that, indeed, was born out in our negotiations of price, trade-in, etc. We believe we got a good deal. Joe was also thorough in helping us dispose of our old car. I have bought more than a dozen cars in the past, and can truly say that Mr. M is the best automobile salesman with whom I remember dealing. If a 10-star rating was the highest we could give, that would be what he would get! We were also impressed with the expertise and friendly efficiency of Toyota Scion's Sales Manager and with Ms. Kelly S (sic) who drew up the contract. We would certainly recommend this dealership to friends.
