Positive Buying Experience

I purchased a 2015 Lexus today from Thompson and it couldn't have been a better buying experience. My sales representative Alando Powell was simply superb. He was very helpful and never pushy. He was solicitous of our interests and was extremely detailed oriented. I highly recommend Alando as well as his manager Kyle Sharp. Dave (didn't get his last name), the tech person, explained everything thoroughly and answered all our questions. The finance person (sorry, I can't remember her name) was also tops in our book. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from them. Thanks again Alando.

Wonderful experience, again! 3rd Lexus Purchase

For the third time, we purchased a Lexus from Heather at Thompson Lexus in Doylestown. She is very customer oriented, truthful, and makes the experience a breeze. We are thrilled with our purchase and will continue to recommend her to our friends and family. If you need a reliable car, consider a Lexus - each of our lasted 10 years with no issues, and the first one had 248k miles and we actually traded it in!

Caveat emptor

I was initially happy with my shopping experience. Made a deal on a new ES 350 and put down $500 deposit. I told them up front I was arranging my own financing (for 1.49%....half the 2.9% rate the dealer was offering!) The sales contract I signed included a $500 "rebate" from Lexus. In the week between signing and pick-up I had several conversations with my sales rep. No problems. Then two hours before I am to pick up the car I get a phone call: I am not entitled to the "rebate" since I didn't finance through Lexus ( it is true: this is a stipulation of the rebate, a fact they withheld from me.). This was not, as was claimed, an oversight. This was clearly a deception, calculated to back me into a corner. Their solution? Re-do the financing through Lexus, then use my original loan to pay off the Lexus loan after a month. Sorry, I won't play that game. Honor your contract for the price you offered me. No? Then the deal is off. A final insult: It took three phone calls and over two weeks to get my deposit back. The sales rep (no longer working there) flat out lied to me that the refund had been submitted, when it had not. A manager finally resolved the issue for me in less than 30 minutes. We all know that car buying is about the “art of the deal", but at a high end Lexus dealership I was not prepared for such a deceptive and insulting experience. Beware!

Arrogant, not willing to work with you

The first sales guy was very nice, but as soon as I asked what the bottom line price would be, he brought someone else over that was rude, arrogant and compared Lexus to BMW and Mercedes. He also told me I should lease when I said I wanted to finance and he pushed the issue. He said the cars weren't marked up much so they didn't have room to negotiate. I would never buy a car from them, even if just on principle.

Excellent Service!!

I brought my mom to the dealership to find a new vehicle for her that was safer than the one she was currently driving. Ryan M. met us on the lot and helped us through the entire process. Instead of shopping around we were able to get her a new car at the first place we stopped! I was even able get one for myself that was the same payment as my Mazda 6! Ryan and the team at Thompson Lexus truly care about about their customers. Their service is the best I have seen at any dealership, ever! I would highly recommend Ryan M. if you are interested in getting into a Lexus or any other used vehicle they have on their lot. He is knowledgable and will help you make the best decision that is right for you and your needs.

Absolutely Arrogant Sales Staff

My Family had decided to purchase a top-of-the-line Hybrid vehicle from this dealer. We arrived at the showroom with great anticipation in acquiring this newly re-designed machine. During the closing of the deal an event manifested which has prompted this specific appraisal: 1) Walking with the Salesperson towards the agreed trade-in vehicle, I stated with a clear, neutral and discernible tone of voice that I would need the license plate for transfer to the next designated vehicle. I was aghast when this Salesperson simply ripped the vehicle identification plate from my car without even attempting to get one of the parking lot attendants to help with this simple task. Despite the obvious misinterpretation of my words, I walked back to the showroom with this Salesperson without any form of verbal protest, only reiterating my former statement without reacting to his originating action. 2) I took a seat next to one of my Family members at the first desk to the left of the main showroom door. Sitting there in a somewhat bewildered state as this Salesperson filled out the necessary paperwork, I reflected on the episode that had just occurred in the lot. After the Sales Representative finished the paperwork to the allotted stage and looked up at me, I asked for an explanation for his actions, stating a third time that I obviously needed the plate. In response to this, he picked the mangled plate off the window sill (And right in front of my family member) proceeded to throw it on the showroom floor and stomped on it several times with his right foot! He then handed it to me with an aggressive countenance and walked away. This time, two of us were in shock... 3) After the vehicle was purchased, I had later contacted the dealer in regards to the above mentioned incident with no real resolution. The employee in question had no ability to reflect on his own behavior (And its impact) or offer any explanation whatsoever for his action. My earnest hope is that another person does not endure this type of treatment at this showroom. The arrogance exhibited by the staff at Thompson Lexus in Doylestown is self-evident. This dealership needs to learn how to be professional in regards to customer service and appreciation.

Good Service

My service experience has been pretty good. I have never had a problem with a Lexus loaner although I always use the free pick up and delivery. This usually requires scheduling 2-3 weeks ahead of time but it is a wonderful service. A current model year Lexus is dropped off and picked up at my house at times convenient to me and the car is full of gas and clean. And it is all free of charge. Once when I had a minor complaint it was dealt with quickly and professionally.

don’t let them screw you !

The service people are polite, but to get hold of them impossible. They are also layers, several times I've tried to get a Lexus car for a loaner, they always get me a Toyota , I asked them why is the other people getting a Lexus loaners ? Can I do the reservation ? , they said that they don't do the reservation , it's on the first come - first serve base. OK, so I cam 7:45 am (the service open at 8:00 am) I was second in line , up front was about dozen of Lexus loaner car are parked , so , when it was my turn to get the paperwork done to get the car, the service guy handing me keys from Toyota Camry , I have nothing against Camry , but I'm driving $55K Lexus, so asked him : "what about those rentals outside ? " "those are reserved " replied the service guy …. So can you believe it ? ? ? Last night they talked me they don’t do the reservations , and now there're reserved ?????? Well all this not to mention that there was a little electrical problem with my car , there had my car few time , problem was not solved , twice they talked me that they replaced the battery , I trust it first time , second time I mark the battery on the side with wite-out , and when the guy talked me that they replaced the battery again , I showed him the mark , on witch he replied : it's an old cover… that pissed me off , I showed him that the battery douse not have the cover , plus when you replacing the battery , the radio station got reset it also , that didn't happened , I've try to fight that with there service manager , he just ignored everything I said . So it's up to you people , my advise to you do not believe a word they're saying to you , don’t let them screw you !

Don’t waste your time !

This is the worst please to buy and service your car ! They are lying to your face , I had 3 attempts to buy a car there , used and new , Avery time they are saying the same thing : "we have no room for negotiation…" , On used cars there mark up up to $8-9,000 , one time I find out that they have the car I want , and it happen to be the same car I was looking on the dealer action 2 days ago , they but it fro $28K , and there ware selling to me with Lexus certified warranty for $36K with $2K special discount (with bold tires and need it paint job front bumper) , just recently I've tried to buy there a new car , with $1K over dealer invoice, the answer was : "we have no room for negotiation…" , such a layers , so I found a better deal in NJ , for dealer invoice - how about that ?
