5th new Lexus purchased from Chester Springs

I recently leased a new 2018 ES to replace my 2015 at the end of that lease. I worked with Jim and Lenny and completed the paperwork with Tom. The entire process was quick and easy. Jim tailored the delivery to meet my needs as I already knew how to operate most of the features. Lenny and Tom were cordial and a pleasure to work with. Looking forward to working with them to replace my other vehicle later this year.

Certified Wreck

Buyer beware. Caution if you are interested in the 2013 Lexus RX 450h, VIN: JTJBC1BA7D2051756, Stock #: C17274A. This vehicle has damage on the passenger side rear door. It is being marketed as an L-Certified, clean Carfax, no accident vehicle but clearly has significant damage on the door, inside and outside, that has been poorly covered up. Inspect closely. I was duped into believing the vehicle was in new condition with no damage or defects. I drove over three hours to see the car with intentions of buying it if it matched the near perfect L-Certified condition as the sales rep described it over the phone. After a short test drive guided by the sales rep, I was ready to make the purchase when a family member discovered significant damage being covered up by poor workmanship in an attempt to cover up a potential accident. I pointed the defect out to the sales rep and he acted as if this was the first time he became aware of the damage. The manager never once made an appearance to discuss the mistake with me but he instructed the sales rep to point out that the vehicle was being discounted heavily and that any repairs would add to the cost of the sale. Never once during negotiations did the conversation come up about a discounted price due to damage nor was I informed the vehicle had damage even after I asked a direct question about the condition of the vehicle regarding damage or accident. The manager failed to apologize for the mistake and never made an appearance. I couldn't even tell you the manager's name because I didn't meet him/her. This car was being marketed and still is marketed and advertised as a Lexus Certified, clean Carfax, no accident vehicle. The dealership is now aware of the damage to the car and will hopefully disclose it to a potential buyer. My experience with this dealership was unfortunate and gives used car sales reps a bad stereotype. I felt misled and was almost taken advantage of if it were not for a second look by a family member to catch what skilled and trained Lexus technicians, sales, and management failed to see during an alleged rigorous inspection or intentionally chose not to disclose. No one has attempted to contact me from the dealership to offer an explanation or to apologize. Buyer beware.

Exceptional Service Department

I had the best service experience ever. Steve Y.'s professionalism, caring attitude, product knowledge and commitment to excellence makes him stand out. He worked hard with Lexus Corporate office to assist me with my situation. He cares and it shows. Lexus of Chester Springs knows what great customer service is and I would strongly recommend their organization. I have a new transmission and am very happy.

Horrible Experience

At first we got there and knew exactly which car we wanted, a used highlander. We went in and no sales associates approached us. Once we got the salesman we were recommended he was extremely condescending and rude. He would ask questions and then shoot down my answer. He asked if we would pay cash or finance it. I said finance it. He immediately said this will never work. He gave me a full 30 minute lecture about how not having credit over 750 wasn't going to work and how the bank would never finance the vehicle to me. I am a full time college student and have never been talked to in such a condescending manner. I understood my credit wasn’t pristine and that I would need a cosigner, but this man did not even try to sell the car. At the moment I said I needed to finance the vehicle he already made his decision that this wouldn’t work. I will never return to this dealership because of the attitude the sales person carried. Nobody should ever be looked down upon when they are trying to buy something from you; you should treat them with the respect they deserve. It was a huge mistake to even stop in.

Poor experience with unreasonable saleswoman

We stopped by this dealership today making it clear from the very beginning that we just want to take a look at the RX350 model and don't need any assistance. Soon a saleswoman approached us and gave us some information on the car which we were very grateful for. In the end, she took us to her office writing down our name and address information. She also asked if we were more interested in 2011 or 2012 model. We said it depends on the price difference. She then walked away and came back with a piece of paper. She showed us the number on the paper and said this is the price for RX 350 2012 model with the premium package. We then asked if they carry the base model, she started her lecture: This is a very good price, we only marked it up $500... Everything here costs money.... Every car is shipped with the premium package. If you want a base model which doesn't have anything, you need to order with manufacture which will take at least 4 months. If you don't like this price, then you looked at the wrong car. Go buy some other car or buy a used car... Her lecture went on and on even we interrupted her a couple of times by saying: Yes, that is reasonable; yes, you are entitled to profit, etc. We never complained the price she gave is too high nor did we ask if they could reduce the price a little. We didn't even want to talk about the price if she hadn't brought up this topic. Yet, we were forced to listen to her lecture for quite a few minutes. I wish we didn't stop by this place today.
