Chevy 21 is an exceptional GM dealership

Chevy 21 made sure the vehicle I wanted was the vehicle delivered. I was in the market for a Suburban and the trim levels they had available was not the configuration I wanted. After a phone call to another local dealer, they were able to trade between dealership and delivered what I wanted and left the same day with new Suburban.

This company is a sham. I called about a subaru that was perfect for me, style year etc.. i got Victoria, who initially made an appointment, after telling me they already sold that vehicle off at auction as it had no value to them. After missing the appointment and getting zero contact from them, called today and was told by Victoria the car was there. She then pawned me off on the lovely Derek, who had to partake in their scammy, underhanded lie. Car had been auctioned already, and they lured me in anyway, wasting my valuable time and energy, thinking they could reel me into something else. As I told Victoria, my needs were very specific. The first message given was the one to believe: They found neither the vehicle, or me worthy of their time and energy, if only for the purpose of bait and switch. Horrible unprofessional sharks. Derrick should go somewhere with integrity.

Poor Sleazy-ship

Do yourself a favor and shop at a dealer that doesn't waste your time and hard earned money. I called this dealer Chevy 21 in Bethlehem, PA twice this week about the same vehicle. Monday when I called, Cliff gave me a song and dance story about the vehicle I was questioning was part of a name your best reasonable offer deal and he couldn't give me a price, but the sale ends today (Monday) at 8pm, did I want to make an appointment to see the vehicle? Today I called back got the same story about the sale except now it ends Thursday and did I want to make an appointment to come and see the vehicle. I decided since I have the time to go today I could make it there by 4:15, My appointment was set for 4:45. Cliff knew I had a 2hr drive since I told him I was coming from the Princeton, NJ area and it's a 76miles one way from my house. I also told him I really don't like driving out there without knowing a price because I know what I can spend. I was told it will be worth my while to come and see the vehicle and make an offer also by signing up for a VIP appointment I would get an additional $500 off my lowest deal and the vehicle would be brought up front and ready to look at. I left at 3pm and arrived at 4:45 just in time for my appointment. At this time Cliff left for the day but John was happy to help. So John asks what vehicle I'm interested in and he looks it up, his first reaction is wow are you sure you want that one it has over 100k miles on it. Sorry I can only afford a vehicle that isn't brand new. John said ok I'll go get the keys. Well already my VIP appointment wasn't so VIP. 15 mins later John comes back without keys. John explains to me that the vehicle isn't at the dealership but at some other dealer in their shop getting checked over. John claims they just got the vehicle in, however it's been listed on the Carfax since 4/9/2018 so that is a lie. He also says oh we have $8100 into the vehicle and thats before it went to the shop. Well, guess what Cliff could have saved my afternoon if he was upfront with how much Chevy 21 might actually want for the vehicle. Instead, I drove 152 miles for the last 4hours just to waste my time and gas! Thanks a lot, I will never purchase anything from your dealership and make sure everyone I know knows your [non-permissible content removed] tactics.

Flat Tire

I got a flat on my way to work. It turns out that I got a utility blade in my tire and it was not repairable. It also turned out that my tires were low enough to qualify for replacement with the Tires for Life! While I had the car there I got my oil change and Inspection. Now I don't have to take it back for those other services. Very convenient.

Normally buying a car is an unpleasant experience. Well not at Chevy 21. The sales person was very professional. No pressure and gave me time to look and test drive any car I had interest in. Price offered was very fair for the car I chose. Warranty was even thrown into deal for no extra cost. Will go back to Chevy 21 any time I need a vehicle

Hands down, The WORST dealership I've ever dealt with!!!

Having purchased over 7 Brand new cars from 5 different dealerships, Chevy 21 is by far the worst dealership I've ever dealt with.. And I didn't even buy a car from them (Thank God)!! Let me explain my experience: Feb. 2015, they had a 2011 Inferno Orange low mile Chevy Camaro listed on cars.com for a reasonable price. No actual pictures, no detailed information, just miles and price. On a whim, I called for more information. They connected me to a salesman named Jeff who was somewhat uneducated on this car, and said he would need to look into it before he could give me more info. Few hours later, Jeff called me back and informed me the car listed was the Owner of Chevy 21's own personal car, and they listed it to see if he would get any bites. Then they reverted me to another Salesman named Anthony Luizza who was now handling this car. I requested some actual pictures which they gladly sent. The car listed was exactly everything I've been looking for in my 3 month search. Living 400 miles / 9 hours away, and with 4 & 2 year old toddlers, I knew it wouldn't be an easy endeavor purchasing this vehicle, but it was EXACLTY what I've been looking for. So I made a fair offer of $1,900.00 less than listed price which the owner immediately rejected. A week later, I made another offer $900.00 less than listed price which the owner quickly rejected again. After 2 weeks, I decided I loved this car so much; I made an offer of the FULL LISTED PRICE, which he accepted a few days later. Upon accepting my offer, I gave the salesman my credit card number over the phone and I gladly agreed to a $500.00 good faith deposit until I could make the trip to pick up the car. I requested more pictures, and a final purchase price minus down payment and deposit (for my lender), plus some more specific car details before I made this huge commitment. Throughout the week I received one or two sentence response emails, unanswered phone calls, and just overall unprofessionalism. Anthony finally sent me a purchase order to sign, with the final numbers only reflecting a $500 deposit even though I clearly stated multiple times I was going to put an additional $2,000.00 down. Regardless, I informed him multiple times I would be coming the weekend of 3/20/15 to sign and pick up this car. My lender reached out to him, got all the information they needed, and completed my loan. Now the check was cut, I just had to go pickup the car and give Chevy 21 my additional $2k. Mind you, at this point I've never even seen or test drove this vehicle. Unfortunately on 3/15/15 my Grandfather un-expectantly passed away and his Funeral mass was on 3/20/15. I apologized, and informed Anthony that I couldn't make it the weekend of 3/20/15, but was still 100% committed to buying this car, and rescheduling the pickup for the weekend of 4/3/15. I even offered to give them my additional $2,000.00 credit card down payment in good faith that I still wanted this car! Per email On 3/16/15 I was told the weekend of 4/3 was ok. On 3/19/15 I received an email from Anthony stating they reached out to Pennsylvania DOT and couldn't retail this car because THE OWNER REMOVED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER and it would be "too much of a liability"!! I called, texted, AND emailed Anthony immediately... He finally EMAILED a few hours later saying the cars computer was flashed to the adjusted exhaust and they can't sell it, and ending "I am sorry"!! He wouldn't even call and speak to me ON 3/20/15, THE VERY NEXT DAY.... THE CAR WAS RE-LISTED ONLINE FOR $6,000.00 MORE THEN THE ORIGNAL PRICE THEY WERE ASKING!!! ARE YOU F'IN KIDDING ME!?! Really, this is how you operate? Very Shady, Very unprofessional, and overall extremely unethical. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they go belly up. Even though this car was everything I wanted, I'm very blessed by God I didn't conduct business with these Idiots. I will continue to look for my Camaro, happy that I didn't give my hard earned money to this joke of a dealership with an EXTREMELY GREEDY OWNER!!

I do not want to come off as the typical angry, selfish customer that you may be used to seeing review places like this. Understanding that reviews are often polarized (either really bad or really good), I will give my honest account of the dealings I experienced. I found a vehicle I wanted to look at via Cars.com. This was a used Jeep that had the features and milage that I was looking for. When I showed up, I was greeted cordially by a dealer and assisted in getting the vehicle to view and test drive. When I decided to purchase the vehicle, the paperwork was drawn and a price was negotiated without issue. The salesman even explained the tires for life program, which I was excited for. I explained that I would not be able to come to the dealership for the rotations, but the salesman stated it wouldn't be an issue, as long as I kept records of the maintanence. The problems came later, when I returned home. I live in Maryland and had stressed that the vehicle would be required to pass the inspection there. I was promised it would. When it did not pass, I contacted the dealership and was given the runaround for some time before I finally got someone who could help. I was told to take the vehicle to an authorized repair facility and get an estimate, which I did. The total came to a little over $1100. I sent that invoice to the dealership and once again, received grief and the runaround. After having to threaten to return the vehicle, they finally cut a check for the repair facility. I got the repairs done and then, a day before my temporary tag expired, I finally got my permenant plates. I was relieved to be done with this dealership...or so I thought. Fast forward to a few years later when I needed tires. I called up the dealership to speak with the salesman I had purchased my Jeep from to try to get an idea of what they would need for an appointment to get the tires replaced. I was told that the salesman no longer was employed there and that I would be unable to get the tires replaced because I had not had all the maintenance done at their facility. I elevated my complaint to a floor manager and was told I would be called back regarding my concern. I waited 2 weeks before I called back requesting when I might receive a return phone call. They had NO IDEA what I was talking about. I assumed my concern was likely in the trash on a crumbled-up sticky note. I cannot speak to their managers in regards to issues like mine since I did not ever get to speak to one, but I will NEVER purchase a vehicle there again and I don't recommend YOU do either. They don't stand behind their promises and look for any opportunity to go back on their word. Find a reputable dealership that will do right by you. There has to be some left out there!
