Power Nissan and Daniel Benjamin of Salem Oregon

I was in the market for a new vehicle but we either were turned down or a down payment that wasn't possible to come up with due to bruised credit. Then Daniel from power Nissan called and I was insecure about going in due to the credit issues and being told they could get anyone approved by the others. I told him I was hesitant and didn't want to waste his or my time and explained my situation. He was upfront and honest with me from the start and was completely real with me. He explained what I was up against and why it was so difficult for us to get financed. He explained the process and never told me what I wanted to hear, he told me what barriers I had and gave me options that I could work with even though I was being a little difficult. He never promised me anything but he was hopeful and said if I could be flexible he would try really hard. Well I decided to be flexible and was going to get a used 2013 Ford escape because the SUV I wanted was just out of reach. (Rogue). He treated me like I was either his family member or a close family friend rather than a customer coming in to provide his next paycheck. He wouldn't even let me rest drive a vehicle till there was an approval to prevent me from being disappointed. Well we got the approval so he went to get the escape for me to test drive and see if I liked it but it was gone. So he told me to hang on and went and spoke to I'm guessing his supervisor and handed me the keys to my brand new 2017 Nissan rogue. This was around the end of January or beginning of February. Now it's July and he still goes above and beyond his job description. I recently hit a deer and was worried about how I was going to come up with my deductible and he made sure I was taken good care of which just makes it so much easier to return to purchase another vehicle from power Nissan because I know they will be completely real and honest. I have never been so trusting of a dealership until I was lucky enough to get that call from Daniel and get a person is compassionate about his customers and who put my needs before his wallet and the bonus is, he continues to be the same guy no matter what.

Don't shop here, go somewhere a little more honest

Save yourself and shop somewhere decent and honest. Biggest mistake was purchasing a vehicle from Power Nissan. Just the whole Power group from the repair shop to this Nissan dealership has been a nightmare. Lies after lies. Sleazy finance guy, told him we didn't want gap, but we normally do purchase the extended warranty for the first 3 months on a used vehicle. All paperwork is being signed when I notice almost to end that some of information was off, so he had to reprint the paperwork. spouse signed all paperwork with limited English, but he spoke Spanish, as I walked out of the room to check on our kids he slipped in the gap insurance paperwork and just had her sign it as part of the normal paperwork. He tells us not to cancel extended warranty sooner than a months because the dealership will get charged a fee. I don't think much since I already saw the first set of papers, so I never reviewed the 2nd ser that was in my spouse's name only. Come to find out after the month that the gap was added, went back end of April beginning of may and requested we not be charged gap at all, to just remove it and at same time remove extended warranty. That was about 14 weeks ago, cancelation should only take 6 to 8 weeks. I've called to speak to finance manager, Lisa, who at any chance she gets has avoided me. I had to go into dealership told them I will wait to speak to her after being told she's "busy" or "on her lunch". Finally she walks out and tells me they just cut the check and is being mailed to my baklnk the next day, that was over a week, going on. Call again and finally get a hold of her to be told the same story that the check will be mailed out the next day. The whole repair shop is a different ordeal with the same time of crappy excuses. Each time I called them I was told next Wednesday your car will be ready. Next Wednesday was about 2months without my car.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

My daughter and I came to Power Nissan in Salem Oregon in an attempt to buy a reliable vehicle. One that I could afford monthly payments. We were lied to from the get go by both Rick and Victor. A vehicle was found. A 2011 Chevy Aveo with 7600 miles. We test drove the vehicle. We noticed the back left tail light was broken and were promised by both Rick and Victor it would be fixed. Also we noticed a significant dent in the frame of the car under the drivers door. I questioned if the vehicle had been in a previous accident and asked to see the car fax. I was denied this and was told I would see it after the deposit was collected and paper work signed. We were told this vehicle would be 148.00 per month with a 750.00 down payment. Initially I was only going to put 500.00 down but was pushed into agreeing to 750.00 the following day my daughter was told the monthly amount changed from 148.00 to 175.00 and that the deposit needed was 800.00 down. Later that day just before we were to come pick up the vehicle we were told the monthly payment changed yet again. This time it would be 250.00 per month and that we needed to come up with a 2800.00 down payment. I said NO... We were lied to, strung along and made to believe we had a vehicle to drive home. Not True. I would never recommend anybody to Power Nissan in Salem Oregon. My daughter and I both feel this was all about Greed, how much could these guys take from the two of us. We were repeatedly lied to and I'm more than a little angry. Nobody should be treated in this manner. There should have been a sense of professionalism and there was not.

I went to Power Nissan and met with Daniel. He was COMPLETELY honest, friendly, and professional. I told him what I wanted, and helped me get into the truck I love. The finance department helped me with a payment that I was happy with. Believe me. I wasn't the most ideal prospect for financing. They all went above and beyond the call of duty with me. I will never go anywhere else again when I buy my next car. It will be from the crew at Power Nissan in Salem.

Awesome Experience!

We spent the day in Salem, OR toting around our four kids and trying to find the right commercial van for our family. We test drove many and were pretty exhausted! I did another search online with my phone and a van popped up at a local dealership. We called and talked to Brooke China and headed over to the Power Nissan dealership to meet her. The van was not the original van we were looking at online, however, it was even better and we were smitten at first glance! We did a test drive and it drove like a dream. Brooke and her associate were very nice and not pushy. We decided to move forward and we were able to come to a deal that everyone was happy with! Brooke also helped out with our kids in the waiting area while we did paperwork which was great! Huge relief to not worry about them during such a big purchase deal. The manager agreed to add a class 5 hitch, Bluetooth, and a rear back-up camera as part of the deal. Super! Overall it was an excellent experience and we are extremely happy with everything! Highly recommend!

Amazing experience with Bob Lacy

I've never been more comfortable with a sales rep before. Mr. Lacy not only was pleasant and willing to work with my needs, he also went above and beyond when the car he sold me ran into some immediate issues. The only reason this is a four star review is because the people who serviced the car before I bought it failed to notice the cracked radiator and broken hose. When I noticed that the car was running continuously hot over the next day I added more coolant and watched it pour out the bottom of the car. I immediately called Mr. Lacy and, to my relief and surprise, he told me to come in immediately to get the car fixed. Not only did they diagnose and fix the issue with no charge, they went above and beyond and fixed some minor cosmetic issues they noticed as well. Through it all Mr. Lacy was so kind, and in the most genuine way. I would hope anybody considering buying a used car (or new!) Will take the time to stop and see him. I feel confident that he will take care of you.

Greatest experience with James the captain of the ship!

I have to say this car buying experience could not have been better. Working with James he understood what I needed. You see I've gone through the last 16months in Cancer tx. It is still hard for me to travel. James found me the right car Kia Rio at the right price and even assisted in financing. One trip to dealership and everything was done and i drove my car home. So thankful. This is a guy with heart and he knows his job. Thanks James.

Monte Riddle texted me right back and said he had my desired car. We drove 200 miles and wonderful service. No messing around...test drove, traded my car and got a great deal first time! Worked with Monte Riddle, He made my short stay at Power of Nissan very positive. If I could do it all over again I'm sure I would be just as happy the second time around! Great staff and pleasant service felt like home. Also good vehicle selection if he didn't bring an alternative vehicle and also read the customer as far as selection of the supercharged model the sale wouldn't have finalized. Again great job I will recommend further relations with Power of Nissan.

My vehicle was totaled on 10/12/14. I needed a vehicle right away. I knew Bob Lacy for several years. I called him up and within a few days, he called me with one. Power Nissan lowered the price of the vehicle, a 2004 Chevrolet Aveo. Bob did not get a commission for this sale, but he put the customer ahead of profit. If this is the way Power Nissan does business, I will, I shall recommend them to all my friends. You did a great job, Bob. Thank you.

Complete garbage

I wish that I could give this dealership a rating of 0, they are not even worth 1 star. The employees at this dealership are very dishonest and deceitful. If you don't want to read my long winded story here is the gist of it: THEY WASTED MY TIME AND MY MONEY BY BEING COMPLETELY DISHONEST. So here we go; I was trying to purchase a new vehicle (a first for me by the way) for my business and was very excited about the new Nissan 200nv compact cargo. I contacted the Official Nissan website and was referred to Power Nissan through commercialnissanvehicles.com. I worked with their "official" commercial vehicle saleman Omar G. via phone and email for over a week to get the model, price, rebates, and financing that I would like. On the day I was ready to travel (60 miles) to purchase the vehicle from them I called and asked Omar if all the terms of our agreement were set, I went through these terms VERY CLEARLY with Omar and he told me "yes we are all set". He had me so confident that everything was a go that I let my ride drop me off at the dealership and return (60 miles) home. After sitting in a small room for almost two hours with Omar I finally sat down with a man named Frank that would do the final paperwork. The first thing he put in front of me was a "bill of sale". I told him I was not going to sign that until I see the terms that Omar and myself agreed upon in writing. When Frank produced these papers the price of the vehicle I was purchasing was MSRP, NOT the price I agreed to with Omar. Frank then proceeded to tell me that they do not discount this particular model because of its popularity and there was nothing he could do to change it. This led me to question the validity of Omar's other claims. I then proceeded to inquire about the $1000 rebate that I was "promised". To my surprise *sarcasm* there was not a single member of the staff including the salesman, manager, and the finance guy that would sign a form guaranteeing me that I would receive this non-existent rebate. These people tried to deceive me through the entire process, when I asked for this "proof of rebate" in the beginning Omar went to the sales manager. The manager sent him back with a BLANK customer cash rebate form, when I attempted to fill it out with the dealerships name, address, and dollar amount Omar told me I couldn't do that because if I did he couldn't get me a larger rebate. The entire staff of the this dealership falsified information in order to dupe me into signing off on a vehicle purchase. They did nothing to back up the claims of their salesman and did nothing to compensate me for the time and money I wasted. I left the dealership feeling completely disgusted with what just transpired and was forced to have my ride drive another 60 miles back to pick me up. I hope that after reading this you make the choice NOT to buy a vehicle from Power Nissan of Salem.

Purchasing our new 2011 Nissan Maxima was easy and pleasurable thanks to the great salesman Bob Gale. They can be trusted and they treat their customers with respect and fervor, but are not at all pushy. This was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I have ever had buying a car. I would give this dealership an A+ rating.

Stay Away from Salem Nissan

This was the worst by far of all the dealers I visited. The dealership is dirty and out dated along with the salesman to say the least. The store seems like a time warp when you pull in as [violative content deleted] are hanging out on the porch and watching you drive along [violative content deleted]. The 3 to 5000 dollar additional dealer profit on the window is sickening. Some [violative content deleted] a car when i think he was supposed to be washing and the sales man just wanted to make fun of him to me instead of answering my very simple questions. After the test drive we took that was around the block our salesman said we had to see his boss before we could go or he would be fired ( boo hoo ) so we went inside where they went straight for the sale with a guy that looked like [violative content deleted] this guy was a piece of work I should of wore shorts as he was laying on some thick BS. I love it when strangers tell us whats best for my family. We couldnt get out of that place quick enough it only got worse from there. In the midst of his babeling he said the car we wanted didnt exsist until i showed him my iphone with the car we wanted just up the road a bit. thats when things got weird . All i know is if your gonna spend 30k on a car you would think you would be respected a bit more and not subject to hearing profane language in the show room and from a manager at that. Do your self a favor and make the trip north for we wont be going to [violative content deleted] ever again. Stay Away.........
