Overall a good experience. Car payment is a little more than I wanted but Rich and Josh made it a good experience. They worked very hard to get me into something that I can afford and get me out of a old car.
If I could leave a negative 5 stars I would
I got online and found a car and was pre approved through my bank, my wife and I drive 2 and a half hours to go look at this car, which was not on there lot took the a half hour to locate it and then the Kia sales pitch comes in play. I told the kid trying to sell us a Kia that we’re not interested in anything but the car we came to look at after about the 5 kia sales pitch we were ready to leave then here comes the sales manager tells us the car we want is listed under what they have in it which is a bunch of lies and he then proceeds to give us the Kia sales pitch. I told him we are only interested in what we came to look at. The sales manager showed us where he was gonna give us 4500 trade in on our car towards a new Kia and when I asked about the suv we were looking at my trade in was only 3000. I felt like I was lied to and tricked to come look at what we had been pre approved on to get the old bait and switch. At the end of the day I would never recommend big red sports to my worst enemy. Big red sports and imports wasted our time and treated us like crap. My wife witnessed the gm and the sales manager talking bad behind our backs in front of other customers and that right there made us ready to leave and go do business elsewhere. We would have left with our new car if the gm and sales manager hadn’t lied and then refiigured our trade in because we weren’t going to buy a Kia
FIxing a safety issue on newly pruchased used truck
We chose the best one for us but had concerns because there were three warning lights on: change Oil, reset coolant, no communications with tire sensor with Tire sensor light on. Mark and Greg (Assistant Manager) arranged for an appointment the following week to fit my schedule to have a technician reset the lights and look the truck over. I came back for the appointment and Carla and the folks in the Service Department were very helpful. The technician reset he Oil and coolant lights since the truck had just gotten both serviced. There was a significant issue with the tire sensors not communicating with the truck. I spoke to Bentley, the Manager and Darrel, the Assistant manager about the issue and they agreed that this was a safety equipment issue. They did the research to identify the problem and approved ordering the parts and fixing the issue that day. Greatly appreciate the whole crew working with me and my family to provide a safe, reliable and gorgeous truck for my 16 year old to drive.
Great experience buying used truck
My wife and son had been looking on-line for a low mileage used truck for my son to drive back and forth to school. We reviewed several pages starting closer to home and worked outward. Big Red Sports in Norman, OK had the easiest site to navigate for what we were looking for and we found three vehicles that met our goals, and messaged the dealership to see if they were available. We live 90 miles from Norman and wanted to make sure the vehicles would be there when we got there late on a Friday. The On-line representative called us right away to ensure us the trucks were still there. Mark Allison met us when we arrived. He was friendly, informed and got us comparing the trucks within minutes. there was no haggling and pass the customer game, which we truly appreciated.
bought a truck they sent an unsigned title
Bought a used vehicle from them a few months ago got the title after a "month of waiting for it" in the mail that was not properly signed by the original owner of the truck took it in to them and they said they would work on getting it fixed. Its now been 2 weeks since i talked to them and they still haven't contacted me to update me on the title situation at all. at this point i'm really worried i spent $9000 on a truck that belongs to someone else...... do not buy a used vehicle from them if you can avoid it.
Horrible Customer Service Experience
I was in there today and had a horrible experience with my salesman and his manager. After telling them that I really wasn't looking for a new car and that I'd prefer not to do the hard credit check, they insisted I do it anyway before they'd even consider giving me the trade in value on my car. After doing that, I waited for almost 2 hours having to ask over 10 times for the key to my car back, for them to not tell me what they could offer me besides a payment option that was double what I told them I could pay and they never told me my trade in value. Both sales representatives were very rude and unprofessional and I will not be going back there again.
First time buyer.
Was able to come check out some cars I saw online. When I arrived I was greeted by a sales man. He was nice and helped me instant the process of buying since it was my first time. He gave me straight forward answers, and I felt like I had gained some knowledge on making the right choice. I didn't feel pressured or lied to.
What a joke
Big Red Sports and Imports is the dirtiest dealership Ive ever been to. The salesperson cussed several times while regaling my wife and I of his times while drinking. The detailing of the car we purchased was terrible. Water spots all over it. Muddy water spots in the door jams and the wheels were filthy. Some of the carpet floor mats were still in their plastic sacks. We couldnt understand their tech staff and he wasnt too helpful explaining radio functions, home link, or the memory seat programming. Believe me, there is no satisfaction after the sale at Big Red Kia in Norman Oklahoma.
Helpful and not too pushy. Gave us other options when what we thought was the right car on the internet turned out not to be. Gave us time alone just to drive it and talk it over. Even washed and cleaned it (engine too). Id go back and i will recommend them to family and friends.
Bait and switch at its finest!
Bait and switch. Dont bother calling them to make sure that they have the vehicle you want before you drive across town as they will lie and tell you what you want to hear. When I got there, another salesman said that Jen, the lady I talked to on the phone, was "busy". However, he knew the two stock numbers I called about (I didn't say a word about any stock numbers) and that he had the keys and he would go get one of the cars. He went to the lot and pulled around in a car and proceeded to tell us about the car he retrieved. The car did not have a sticker on the window. I asked if this was one of the 2017's that they had advertised (you know, the ones I called to verify they still had in stock before driving my entire family one hour across town to see and one of the ones you said that you had the keys for and went to retrieve). His reply, "oh, no, we don't have any of those left". Funny how he didn't mention that before he wasted my and my families time even more before he went to the lot to retrieve the car I called about and lied for a second time. I asked him numerous times for the price of the car he brought and he kept trying to talk about the features and trying to get us to take it for a test drive. I finally had to be extremely blunt and explain that I don't like being lied to and to give me the price of the car. (one infuriating comment he made at this time is that I told him about my frustration in calling and then driving an hour to see the car and he asked where I was from. When I told him he said, "Oh, that isn't all that far". WTF?) He went in to talk to his manager and after about 10 minutes, the manager came out and said "oh, yes, we do have one of the 2017's left. My assistant is going to go find one". The manager then proceeded to go talk to another waiting customer. I stood there like a chump for at least another ten minutes and then we just left. We went to another Kia dealership and walked out of there with a new car in less than one hour.
By far the best dealership. The staff is great and they work with you not against you. I Wil definitely recommend them to friends.
Got a car come to find out totally overpriced plus with the trade in can't even get it refinanced because the car is not worth it no gap insurance like we told him we want it we were not even told about tax title and license not being included it was a whole separate thing now I know what people go through when they said they were scammed now I realize it happens to you before you even realize it bad deal bad car bad situation just a nightmare all the way around from the get-go and it's still not over
DONT SHOP HERE
If i could give this place a zero i would, but you have to rate it in order to leave a review. Ill make this short and sweet, This place is the worse car dealership to go to especially if you are buying a used vehicle from them. We just traded in our perfectly good truck (only traded it because it was two wheel and we needed four wheel drive) and got a truck they claimed was traded in and was perfect, only to find the whole front end needs to be replaced and had to have the basics done which they claimed were taken care of like the oil and filters. They also told us they would take care of the TT&L, that was a friggen joke almost $2000 alone on TT&L later we are out of pocket paying for the license plate and registration. Then they have the audacity to take our truck we traded in and leave the description as a truck that was driven by an older gentleman and only used to pull a small travel trailer, was never smoked in and garage kept. What a sack of lies, the truck was used when we got it from an old rancher in Arizona and then my husband drove the hell out of it pulling trailers, heavy trailers, for work and pulling offroad toys, smoked in it, and not one day in its life did it ever see a garage. These people will smile to your face while they tell you lies in order to get a commission and stab you in the back when you walk out the door. If you can help it do not go with them for a vehicle they are absolutely horrible and if you dont have the money to fix what they lied about then you are screwed!!
I thought you had to have great credit or go to a buy here pay here, put a ton of money down, and have a car that someone could shut off. Thank goodness I stumbled into here. Such a great experience and I had a lot of options. Big thanks to Landon at Big Red.
Devon the GM? Lied to me about the interest rate.
I told Devon I'd do the deal for 2.99% interest rate. He said ok. A sales associate then came out and said "we are gonna do the deal." So he got the paperwork together. And we started filling it out. I get back to finance. And guy tells me 4.7% is my interest rate. I said "no that's not right." He calls Devon Because he had already left for the day by this time. Devon says "they arnt gonna do less than 3.99%." I'm not mad about the one percent difference it's not that big a deal on what little bit in financing. it's just the fact that he hoped I didn't catch that on the paperwork I guess. Trying to slip one in on me. If my girlfriend didn't want the car so bad I woulda walked out right then. Went back up yesterday. (May 2nd 2017) to bring them the title and get a full tank of gas which was also promised, and a 5 ocklock appointment to get the Windows tinted. Well guess what. Apparently there was no 5 ocklock appointment for window tinting made! so I made a 40ish minute drive for a tank of gas and a hour wait to figure out what they were gonna do about it. Got the tinting part squared away but now I have to make an extra trip that I didn't wanna make up there Saturday. But believe me I'm letting them do it since they got me for that extra 1% interest rate. Not letting them get me for the tint job as well. Devon don't lie to people. And maybe you can look me in the eye instead of avoiding me when I'm at your place of work if you ever see me again.
I would recommend
I was in touch with Kayla via email over the past week or so an went in to try an purchase a vehicle. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get financed. I must say they did everything they could to try an help me. The sales guy was so nice an honest with me. Which I greatly appreciated. Give them a shot they seem to be really honest an willing to try an help. When I am able to purchase my next vehicle it will definitely be with big red sports in Norman.
They should be called Big Red [non-permissible content removed]. They lied to me and my wife to get us in one of there cars. I fell for it and now I am stuck with a repossession. The took advantage of us and unwilling to resolve the issue.
I had a great experience buying my new 2016 Kia Soul from here. The sales department and my salesman Benny were both great. They got me decent payments that I am able to afford and tried their best to help me get any discounts available.
Worst Experience of my life
Got a Forte from them a month ago and hated the entire experience. Its a dirty, loud, place with a bad reputation but I went there to save a few dollars. Sales guy made promises he never kept. For example, never got second key on the new car. The car had 3000 miles on it because it had been previously delivered to someone else (which they didn't tell me). Sales guy said he would change oil for free but then they backed out. Can't trust anything they say. The delivery was even worse. He just tossed the keys and said good luck. Don't go here.
