Unsatisfied Used Car Sale
Last weekend I purchased a used vehicle. I was very excited about the purchase, only to have my feelings change very quickly. I walked away with a quarter of a tank of gas (which is all used cards are allowed to receive per the sales person), a dirty vehicle (wish I could show you the picture of the trash I found in the vehicle), and to have another driver pull me over on the way home saying black smoke was coming out of my new purchase. My husband then had to take it back to the dealer (well over 40 minutes from our home) to be looked at it. Nothing was found. Back to the dealer to pick it up. Only to wake up the next morning to a trunk that was absolutely soaked. Guess what more phone calls needed? And most likely another trip back to the dealer. How very sad! I'll never purchase from them again.
2nd vehicle bought from a Coughlin dealership in 3 years Paid for Truck with a check . Never did receive a title in the mail as promised. Went to get plated transferred an the title showed a lien against truck. Finally was able to get plates after they issued BMW another title without lien. Finally they said the would compensate me to get an electronic title received a check for 15.00 dollars which did not cover the price of title. Really was not a hassle free deal
Absolutely Great Auto Purchasing Experience
I am greatly and pleasantly surprised on the ease of this out-of-state purchase from Coughlin Chevrolet. The Coughlin personnel who helped me in this purchase (Rick C. in sales and Brian B. in Finance) exhibited care, courtesy, consideration, and most importantly excellent product knowledge. The transaction was relatively simple and I got the desired car equipped and trimmed just as I wanted it. I am very pleased with the selection of the Pilot Transport for the delivery. In particular, the driver Larry T. took great care in the handling of the car and it was delivered in perfect condition. Rick C. was awesome. He helped us get the corvette we really wanted at a reasonable price. He was very knowledgeable and had the best corvette-themed office! We flew in from New York the day after the Columbus area had had a snowstorm. I believe Rick went out of his way to make sure he could meet us at the dealership, regardless of the weather conditions. This is a copy of an e-mail that I sent to Coughlin Pataskala earlier today. Good morning! I brought my 2011 Corvette in last Friday to have a leaking CV Boot replaced and unfortunately had to leave the car as repair parts were not available. Nikki offered me a vehicle to drive which I didn't need and then ended up having someone drop me off at home which I appreciated very much. I was concerned about having to leave the car outside over the weekend and was very surprised that my car was kept inside over the weekend. I was expecting to have to spend some time cleaning up the rear wheel / suspension area where the grease out of the CV boot was thrown, again I was very pleased that the areas were spotless when I picked the car up last evening. Please express my sincere appreciation to Nikki, and Chuck the Technician who repaired my car for their care, and attention to detail. My husband and I were in the market for a new vehicle and in one week test drove 7 new vehicles. I wanted an excellent car, the best deal, and customer service was very important to both of us. We narrowed the search to two vehicles from different dealerships. It was a tough decision, but we kept going back to the Equinox, the way it handled, the options available and the smooth quiet drive. Dale Chapman from Coughlin Chevrolet in Pataskala was exceptional. His response was very prompt and within hours he contacted me to say he had the vehicle we were looking for. Our experience at the dealership from the minute we walked in, just outstanding customer service. Dale was with another customer, but we were greeted and taken to the waiting area and within a few minutes we were introduced to Dale and out for a test drive. Everything he promised over the internet was presented to us. We were very pleased at the ease and time it took to get approved. Within hours we were driving away in our new car. Great sales department and finance dept
The sales guy we had was not pushy or over bearing, he talked to both my husband and I. WE test drove Equinox, and sales guy went over every option on each style. We decided to trade in our Subaru, they worked with us tremendously, very down to earth. All staff were excellent, we had our 3yr old with us, and everyone even talked to her and played. We felt welcome there, and will go back for any other vehicle we purchase.
Out of Town Purchase
I inquired at Coughlin Automotive Group in Pataskala, Ohio, about trading in my 2002 truck and purchasing a new one. I live approximately 762 miles from this dealership, and I have to say, that it was an outstanding experience from beginning to end. My salesman, Dale, was extremely honest and met all of his commitments. I arrived at the dealership at 9:00 a.m. and was given fresh coffee. From beginning to end I was out of that dealership within 2 1/2 hours. The whole time, my salesman, as well as the management team at Pataskala was exemplary. I am extremely sensitive to good service and quality as I teach this subject at the university level. I have no negative comments regarding my experience with this dealersip. In fact, I can only say outstanding things about them. I wish they were closer because I would recommend them highly to everyone. There are plenty of dealers close to my house but the trip and experience with this dealership was well worth it.
Good work on an older vehicle
I like Coughlin Pataskala because their not afraid to work on older vehicles. They've done good work on my 1999 Subaru Forester to replace rear bearings, linkages, etc. - frozen bolts and all. A lot of dealerships want to do the gravy work, but won't touch the hard stuff. Randy (Service Manger) and his team are good to work with and he'll give you an honest opinion as to what work you should have done and work that maybe isn't the smartest investment considering the age of the vehicle.
Just wanted to send you a note and thank you for the great experience I have had with both my Equinox and now buying my mom a little used PT cruiser. Both John and Cameron Dean have treated me with a lot of respect that I have not received from other dealerships being a single mom buying these cars. I went to other dealerships not in the Coughlin group and tried to buy a car for my mom but they treated me like I was stupid so I called John. Like he says, go with who you know - that is him and Cameron Dean. John sets the tone in the Pataskala dealership on how to treat people and I really appreciate it. My mom loves her little car (which is good cause she can be a real pain). Take care and thanks!!!
Dont Know What Service Is
Aside from taking my car here and they never being able to fix my problems on a brand new chevy. They also have no one to shuttle you home if you dont have a ride. They only have 2 rentals and if you car isnt going to be overnight dont plan on getting on of those. So they grap one of the low man mechanics to drive you home after a long time. And when it is time to get back you better hope that same person is working, or they have to bring someone from Newark (20) mins away from the other dealership to pick you up. Not like there isnt someone who isnt working. I dont know how they have a poster showing them listed so high when they stink so much.
What a nice shopping experience. And what a Beautiful Camaro I have
I've been doing research online for the past year on the camaro. And I have been in contact with the internet salesman from Coughlin. His name is Matt.we have been emailing back and forth for all that time. . and I gotta tell you I have social anxiety that is why i do most of my business online. Well Matt was more then accomodating. When I finally arrived at the dealership he had set aside a room just inside the entrance. So I would not have to deal with alot of people. He had all the paperwork ready. He made sure I was comfortable. The service that I got is nothing like I have recieved from other dealers in Columbus. Without their understanding of my problem. I would not of bought a Camaro from Coughlins. It was well worth the drive out east to get my Beautiful Red Camaro. They went above and beyond. There was no pressure, they had a wide selection of Camaros. In fact they even got mine from one of their dealerships. All I have to say is Thank YOU COUGHLINS for a great car shopping experience. I would recommend them to anyone. If you are looking for a Chevy please check them out. I did and I am glad I did. A special thank you to Matt for making this all work out. His understanding of me and working with me. Well I could go on and on but you get the message. Go see them. It's well worth the ride. .
