    Had 2 new tires installed due to uneven wear. I liked that the service advisor asked me to go on test drive with technician after install to make sure car was not pulling or vibrating. They wanted to make sure things were done right and I… was happy.

    This dealership is very organized. I showed up for my service appointment and someone greeted me by my name and led me to the service desk. The waiting area was very clean and comfortable. They supplied coffee and water at a beverage… station and a TV to watch while waiting for the service to be completed. I was very impressed. The service and tire rotation went very quickly and the service manager explained everything that was done and any issues I may be facing on the next appointment. Great communication. I will return definitely!

    The sales lot was nice as well as the building. Now the salesman Donavan was the first to greet and was really friendly. I had already been looking at a vehicle online and Sydney had reached out and said to contact her when I would be in… route to the location. I however knew that if I did that they would have the vehicle warmed up prior to my arrival so I would not be able to check it out and hear it on a cold start. My son and I took it around the block and I smelt coolant in the cab, when we returned I popped the hood and explained to Donavan that I smelled coolant his response was “it’s an old vehicle with miles on it so it probably has some issues” so I crawled under to look and clearly seen coolant running down the tranny. He still basically blew it off as an issue and I found it to be unprofessional. I went inside and he basically gave me the price that they were asking and I said that wouldn’t work seeing how there is an offer issue and I would have to repair it. So they took 300 hundred off. There was no offer to have it looked at even though they said it had an inspection done prior. I told him I was going to pay cash and would return the next day with the cash, he said he’d prefer a cashiers check so I agreed. Then we went to the financial guys office and finalized the deal, the financial guy ( Chase I think) was very dry and when he asked for payment Donavan told him that I had to go to the bank , his response was “the banks are closed” I responded “I’m aware of that and I’d be back tomorrow” I didn’t care for the snide response from him and it kinda p*ssed me off to the disrespect especially in front of my son. So before going back the next day I just got the cash from my storage and told my son that to hell with them and they can just count it all out. So we went in gave them the money, the financial guy was still in a disposition “he stated he was having back issues and I understand how that can be, but was that the reason for his attitude? Stay home then. Once paid for Donavan said that it was fueled up and ready. I asked did they top off the coolant since it seems to be leaking and he said he wasn’t sure and he would get it handled. After about a 1/2 hr we were ready to go. I would have liked to see an inspection from the service shop to see if they had noted and issue or if it was pencil whipped. I have been a mechanic for 40 years and I explained that to Donavan so I kinda know a few things. While waiting waiting I looked around and noticed when a service attendant wearing a multicolored bucket hat pulled a customer’s vehicle up to the entrance/exit lane when going to back up peeled out while reversing and yeah that is not professional behavior at all. Regardless I left with the vehicle and my son and I will handle the repair. To me I felt like once I told them I was paying cash rather than financing it went downhill (since they wouldn’t get a kickback from the bank for signing up a loan) and then the pushing of the bs extended warranties knowing there wouldn’t be any additional monetary gains as well, it was deal done. Seriously if the inspection showed an issue and they tried to hid it, thats some unprofessional service that you’d expect from some buy here pay here crap. Regardless Donavan was really friendly and personable. Possibly since I wasn’t all dressed in sweatpants looking at new Broncos to finance we weren’t getting respect. This is why I am showing my son the way things can be and what to not to do and deal with.

    In Services Dept. Tiffany handled my ongoing F150 problems smoothly, professionally and efficiently. We aren’t done yet, getting parts for the “ole girl” (2002 F150, showing her age like her owner!) is proving a challenge but Tiffany is… diving into finding them. I have every confidence we’ll get as much fixed as parts availability will let us.

    I am submitting a complaint due to repeated failures by an authorized Ford dealership service department @ Germain Ford to properly diagnose and repair my vehicle. The vehicle was originally brought in for a strong oil/fuel odor entering… the cabin, which is a legitimate safety concern. The dealership claimed the issue was resolved by replacing the vacuum pump. This repair did not correct the problem. Because this is not my primary vehicle, it took some time before I realized the odor was still present. When I returned to the dealership, they reversed their diagnosis and claimed the issue was now a right valve cover leak, which directly contradicts the original repair and indicates the initial diagnosis was incorrect. Additionally, the vehicle exhibited a serious security and safety issue: it would start without the key fob present. The assigned service advisor demonstrated no understanding of how to diagnose or address this issue. Rather than troubleshooting, I was told the dealership wanted approximately $700 simply to contact Ford engineering for guidance on how to fix the problem. Charging a customer hundreds of dollars just to ask how to perform a repair is unacceptable. This experience reflects poor technical competence, inadequate diagnostic procedures, and a lack of accountability within this service department. I expect factory-trained technicians, accurate diagnostics, and professional handling when dealing with an authorized Ford dealership. That did not occur here. I am requesting that Ford Corporate: Review this dealership’s diagnostic practices and technician competency Address the improper handling of a vehicle starting without a key fob Consider reimbursement for ineffective diagnostics and unnecessary repair costs Ensure this dealership is held to Ford’s service standards This situation should never occur at an authorized Ford service facility.

  • Battery drain mystery solved

    After replacing my F-150 battery, the Quick Lane techs mentioned there was a battery drain and advised that I have the battery tested to resolve it. Reserved time at the dealer, brought the truck in, and waited. A few hours later, they said… that the Trailer Module had a minor but persistent battery drain and should be replaced. I'm going to get that scheduled, but it is a relief to figure out the odd ongoing issue. It doesn't impact drivabilitym, but no one needs a dead battery during winter in Columbus, Ohio.
