They didn't actually change the oil
I was checking the oil in my wife's 2015 equinox around 1k miles after her oil change at the kings automall Mccluskey... "because the 4cyl eco tec engine is garbage and has burned oil since the day she bought it brand new and it still only has 47k miles.. apparently this is a common issue"... Anyway's the oil looked very very dark to be recently changed. I had changed the oil and filter for the previous 2 intervals and decided to check the oil filter to see if it had actually been changed it not and sure enough it was the mobile 1 filter I used and confermed by the part number on the filter as well as being confirmed that it was not the oil filters the dealer used based off the service receipt.
Best Car Buying Experience Ever !
First class people supported by a first class dealership. The McCluskey experience has taken car buying to a whole new level; you feel like a VIP driving off the lot in your new McCluskey Chevrolet!
Why can't I give ZERO stars? Terrible Experience. Sat in an office for over 30 minutes while he "got a list together", but we had just discussed potential cars from the database. Why would you have to "get a list together" and disappear for 30 minutes? After a walked out because I left, I received 2 emails about my credit being ran, I specifically told him to not run my credit until we found a potential car, but he did it anyway. Not once, but twice. I will never step foot in there again. I also recommend that if you are reading this, you don't either.
When I first approached the salesman, he seemed more interested in his phone than making a sale. We felt the salesman was arrogant and didn't seem to want to work with us. Salesman gave us a without any order experience. We felt as if he didn't have a clue as to what he was doing. Finance, insurance, & onstar/my Chevy staff was wonderful, easy to work with, & pleasant. They made our experience much better even though the salesman ordered was backwards. The car is what sold me , not the salesman! When everything was done and we could leave, I pointed out the same dirty spot that was on the vehicle before "car washing," The tires was the only thing that looked cleaned on my new vehicle. Inside vehicle, I pointed out how it wasn't even cleaned on the inside. Salesman seemed more interested in programming my radio station. He was very president and I tried several times not to worry about that and I would program them. Then I felt uncomfortable cause he just wouldn't take no for an answer. We love our new vehicle, dealership staff wonderful, our salesman we wouldn't recommend.
McClusky Chevrolet fully informed me at every step of the process. By far, they have the best Customer Waiting Area that will make it a pleasure to return there for oil changes or any other service needed for our new car.
I was looking for a used Subaru Forester. The car was super overpriced for their buy here pay here lot. From email "With decent/good credit and or cash the 2010 Subaru Forester would sell for around $10,000. Otherwise, the buy here pay here price is $15,920." So at 10K they are making money, but wanted to get almost 6K more, despicable. It's now on their website for $8411. It's still overpriced IMO since it's been owned by 3 different car dealers this year.
Todd did a great Job working with us, the overall expierence to include the sales and finance staff did what we feel to be an honest and fair job. Enjoyed the process and am looking forward to purchasing our next vehicle from there. The lifetime Engine and Transmission coverage are a big deal to me. Enjoyed the 'Tech' walk-thru and setup, very important feature to have available especially since I was coming from a 2004 Suburban to a 2017 Suburban...Big technical difference. Seems as though the staff there works well together. Never truly felt the negative pressure or sales pitch you often hear about, felt more like a collaborative effort.
We brought the car in for service on Monday 4/24/17 for oil change, tire rotation and back passenger seat, seatbelt repair (2nd time informing them that seat belt will not always latch), prior to leaving on a trip. We noticed that the oil life was at 33% after leaving for the trip and called the dealership on two occasions to see if we should stop at a dealership and have anything checked, since we were traveling. I was transferred to technician voicemail on second call and left a message, requesting a call to verify if we should be concerned or not. Both calls were made more than 5 days ago and we have yet to receive any contact from the dealership. As far as the seat belt issue, my husband states they checked it and it was working, but sprayed something in it. I have not taken my grandkids anywhere yet, since this was done, so unsure if it is working or not. Overall the communication from my salesperson and now service department has been poor to say the least. It was months before I received my all weather floor mats, which were not the right ones, but I finally gave up on getting the correct ones for my vehicle. I typically am not one to complain, but I still receive follow up calls from Kings Ford from when I purchased my 2013 Explorer and will probably return there the next time I am in the market for a new vehicle. Will NEVER buy from Mcklusky Again
WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE FROM MCLUSKEY! Worst experience EVER and wish I would have bought my car elsewhere! Every word out of their mouths is a lie, make sure you record your sales person as the lies come out because any promises that are made you will have to fight tooth and nail to get them to honor anything promised. What they told me out front during negotiations the payment would be and what the payments on the paperwork said per month didnt match and increased by almost $100 a month, so take the time to read EVERYTHING before signing and dont trust a word. Watch your financial paperwork, they had me fill out the wrong form for gap insurance and the 3rd party gap insurance company sent me a denial a couple months later because of it, never did see the money back I paid for that and of course I'm not covered. They wanted my car insurance information to supposedly get things on my insurance switched to the new vehicle, never happened, was driving without insurance and had no clue until I called my insurance, they had no idea I had gotten a new car and never did hear from Mckluskey. Every time they "fix" something, it comes back scratched or they charge you to fix it and don't fix it at all. For every problem they fix, make sure you have plenty of vacation time and gas money to take it back 5 more times each for them to fix their careless mistakes THEY made while fixing the initial problem you took it in there for. They have a great waiting area with snacks and drinks which is a good thing because you will probably starve to death waiting for a 30 minute service job to get done over several hours (or to not get done, which has happened on several occasions). I scheduled a meeting with the sales manager, and drove all the way down there and he refused to see me once I got there and instead out me with some entry level employee in the financial department to talk to, another waste of my day. I wrote a letter to the owner and he didn't even have the audacity to acknowledge how horrible my experience was. I have left messages and have not received calls back. Take my advice, go down the road to a different dealer. Fyi: the lifetime power train warranty is only good if you get the oil and tires aligned and rotated there, and we have had issues with the car when we have got it back EVERYTIME and have to keep taking time out of our day several hours at a time to fix the scratch (which a fix for this to them fyi, it to paint it with a paint marker which looks like absolute crap) they put on it or align the tires they supposedly aligned twice and a straight steering wheel drags you into another lane as you leave the dealership, but remember these are trained expert mechanics your dealing with. Their solution when I called word for word: "just void your warranty and get your oil done where you want"......smh. Never again, you should be ashamed of yourself for treating hardworking people like this.
I wish I could give them zero stars cause I would. Mccluskey Chevrolet is in the business to rip people off. I took my car to them on 2/24/17 because of a check engine light. I was told that it would be $99 to diagnose the problem. They then came back and said that it was the purge valve and would be around $221 to complete. They fixed the issue that day. It is now 4/3/17 and the check engine light is back on. I was told that I would have to pay another $99 for them to diagnose the problem. The problem is the mass air flow sensor which is a part of the purge valve. It's not even 2 months, why is it more issues and why do I have to pay another $99 for something that should have been caught in the 1st diagnostic.
Think twice about what you are promised. We had an associate that promised he would throw in fitted mats Then when we called back and asked where they were, we were told he never said that. We also were asked if we could bring the car back for a full detailing because it had not been detailed for delivery. We were told that it would go to their detail company and would take several hours. After leaving the car for several hours we come to find out that the car was ran through the dealer car wash. Never was sent to detail. Another associate confirmed this, because it looked horrible. Just make sure you get everything in writing because management backs their people and doesn't follow through.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Good Day. I recently had my lifetime warranty service at the Reading Road Location & was VERY pleased with the excellent customer service skills of Mr. Turner. In addition, the cashier was respectful & there was also a very nice car salesman (I do not remember his name darn it!) whom I communicated with. Lastly, Mr. Turner's Expeditious Service, their polite, helpful, & knowledgeable behaviors will keep me as a McClusky Customer and allow me to share my positive sentiments with friends & family. I thank you for this outlet!! Sincerely, Gregory Rolland AA, BSW, MSW (Admin) HM2/United States Navy-Retired Owner of PatriotiCard Collections
Great Experience!!!!! at McCluskey Chevrolet - Kings Auto Mall
From the time that I entered the door (which was held open for me by a sales person), greeted by the friendly front desk ladies, until the end when I was congratulated by every employee that was around, my experience couldn't have been better!!! I worked with Leslie Turner who took the time to listen to what I was looking for and was able to take me directly to a few truck that fit my needs. I really wasn't planning on purchasing as I still had 8 months left on my current truck lease but between Leslie and the sales manager, we were able to work a deal that pleased me. While waiting for the paper work to be processed, we were offered snacks and drinks which is really a nice touch. The atmosphere at the dealership is fantastic. From the comfortable lounge area to the clean garage, I rate this dealership to notch! LaRon Moore was my business manager and he did a great job at explaining the paper work and was very pleasant to work with, The service shop manager, Ben was also very accommodating in getting my after-sale service work set up and gave me his card incase I ever needed his assistance. Thank for your your service. You have earned a lifetime customer!
Very Unhappy look over all paperwork very close
I leased a car on Sat evening 10/22, went back Sunday morning 10/23 to return the car because I was not happy with it and they would not take it back. Then found out $1200.00 or products and packages were added on to my lease that I was not notified about or even asked about. I am having that money refunded to me, based on the experience I had I would not send someone I know here for a car.
2016 Malibu purchase 9/2/2016
Very pleased, great dealership. No pressure sales rep., negotiations were not stressful and we were not bounced back and forth between several people. Very short time to agree on price and trade. Thank You......
The salesman, Preston, was professional, knowledgeable, polite and easy to deal with. He worked hard to show us the vehicle, answer our questions and was very friendly and hospitable. Most importantly he was honest and straight forward, as were the insurance and financing departments. No nasty surprises.
Bait and Switch
I contacted McCluskey about a 2002 Saab automobile that was on the website. I received an immediate response from the online representative wanting to make an appointment to see the car. We did not make an appointment but said we would be at the dealership within the next two hours. We arrived there and were rudely told that the car had been wholesaled. We had already told them we were driving 100 miles roundtrip to see this car. The salesperson said it was not his fault and he would be happy to show me other cars. I was very upset compounded by his smug attitude. I asked to speak with a manager and was told it was his day off!! I left my number and received a call the next day...not from the manager but the person in charge of buying and selling cars at auctions. The Saab had already been sent to auction the previous week!..He spent 30 minutes on the phone explaining how their internet and sales department worked and there is no way a normal human could understand. In other words...there is no communications between the internet people, the sales depatment and inventory. The worst part of this whole mess is that the car is still on the website for sale and I inquired again about the car.....Oh yes, When would you be available to come down and see it. This car has been gone from inventory for almost a week and they are still trying to set a time for me to come and see it!! I received a call today from a sales manager and he said the car has been removed and wholesaled and removed from inventory....Guess what!? It was still in the inventory two hours after I spoke with him. I will never do business with these people.
Fabulous inviting dealership! Thank you Kevin, my salesperson, for being patient and caring and also knowledgeable. Hard to find! Everyone here does the extra mile. So grateful to have found McCluskey Chevrolet!
2014 Chevy Sonic
My experience at the McCluskey was great. Mr. Vincent Summerlin was a great help along with the finance group that got me a great loan on my 1st brand new car. I will recommend anyone to take a trip there to purchase a car.
Great Experience with McCluskey Chevrolet
Salesperson, Chris Hamlin, and Sales Manager, Glenn Allen, could not have been more pleasant to deal with. Both of them went out of their way to find us the car that fit our needs and at a price with which we were comfortable. We look forward to a long term relationship with McCluskey Chevrolet.
