Poor Customer Service

Contacted this dealer last week and wanted to purchase a new Escape through the internet sales manager as I have an A-Plan...no haggling. Stopped by on Saturday and sent him a VIN and location of the car I was interested in later that evening. Got an email the next day stating they would check the car's availability on Monday morning when they got in. Didn't hear a word all day and sent him an email that evening inquiring about the car's availability. No response on Tuesday, When I called on Wednesday afternoon, I was told he wasn't in and a manager would call me back "in 5 minutes". That was at 2:30 pm and it is now 8:30 pm. I guess they don't want my business. I would give them zero stars if I could.

I had a great experience with the service department at Liberty Ford, Brunswick. My 2013 Ford Edge All Wheel Drive had a Power Takeoff Unit that was poorly designed by Ford. It started to fail so a replacement had to be done. I took it in and the staff confirmed the problem as the PTU. They gave me an estimate of $1500. for parts and labor and because so many of these PYUs were failing, they had one in stock. Once the part was removed, they found out they did not have its replacement in stock. They over nighted the part but needed to keep the vehicle one extra day. The part was $300. more than they estimated but they stayed with the original estimate plus reduced my bill by $50. for keeping it an extra day. More than fair. The worked was done correctly the first time. I'll be back to buy another Ford from them next year.

Worst ever and still not done. I bought the F-150 with 160 miles and eventually received it 1260 miles. For some reason a truck that was only 50 miles away ended up in Tennessee (or so I'm told). I have had the truck for 2 weeks and cannot drive it because it pulls hard to the left, I am also owed a moon roof. The salesman has contacted me once regarding this and I have heard nothing further. I have only driven this truck approx. 40 miles, just enough to confirm the misalignment. I have one F250 and five f150 that I use for work, Ford is about to loose another customer. This is the third truck I have purchased from Liberty Ford in Brunswick and each time there has been an issue. I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from there again. I paid $ 40,000.00 for a truck and these people do not even have the courtesy to fix the alignment and install the moon roof. I purchased brand new tires from this dealership and one was flat when I arrived home. I called to let them know and after paying nearly $1000.00. for new tires I was told it was too close to quitting time for them to be able to fix it that day. The next day I took it back and was told it was the valve stem. I also ask them to put the spare that I was forced to change back under the truck (they had just put it in the bed of truck, I guess they figured I should put it up). I stood there as two mechanics had to ask another how to store the spare tire under the truck, REALLY!! it took three Ford mechanics to figure out how to store the tire????? I was just shaking my head. I just want Liberty ford to take my truck and give it back to me as they had agreed. I wish I had the extra 1100 miles back too.

I have a 2012 Ford Escape with 102K miles and it's probably been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. The cargo space has been extremely functional in various ways and I keep up the scheduled maintenance. Liberty's Service Dept. is great although I sometimes feel like I'm the one asking the questions. Morale doesn't seem to be too high although dealing with the Public isn't an easy job - especially when there's car repairs to be made. Would just like to see a little more of a proactive approach in asking questions before service and thorough review after service. The Service Dept. is under pressure to get people in and out as quick as possible so I think they need to find that balance with the workload.

Our visit to Liberty Ford in Brunswick was great. They have a very nice facility, all of the staff appeared genuinely appreciative that you were there. They had a great inventory to pick from. Our Sales Associate (Dave Baisden) jumped-through-hoops to locate a car on another lot with just our preferred options and our preferred color. His delivery was totally professional as he explained all of the cars features and operation and Liberty had it topped off with a full tank of gas.

2016 F 150 Ecoboost V6

The truck that I was interested in was at another lot that the dealership owned. The salesman went to that lot and brought it back to the local lot within a few hours of us discussing the truck on the phone. Very impressive. The truck has been great. The V 6 Ecoboost has plenty of power. I don't regret in the least choosing this engine over the V 8. I'm happy with the interior features as well.
