Terrible service department
I'm not sure where they find the people that work in their service department, but the one guy that I get stuck dealing with every time I have to take my car in (which is way more times than should be necessary for a 4 year old car that I purchased from them) is the worst. He offers the same service over and over, no matter how many times I refuse it because we do it ourselves at home, and then gets upset when I don't want to pay for them to do it. They never offer any other solution to the problem. I also seem to have more issues with my car after picking it up than I did before dropping it off (every time I've taken it in for service I've had to take it back in for a new problem that started after them having it). I will never take my car to them for service again.
Poor service no call backs a [non-permissible content removed]
One of the worst customer service experiences ever. Clueless about the product. Bait and switch after the credit app was run.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
Recently purchased an item online costing over $800.00 from Ganley VW of Bedford. It arrived at my house in a box that was not suitable or capable of making its journey. So somewhere along the way, I'm assuming it gave up half its contents or it never contained them at all. So what I did receive is absolutely useless. I have talked to the sales representative numerous times only to be told that he is not authorized to issue a pickup or refund for the item, that his manager would have to make that call. Well I spoke to this manager and he's extremely well versed in the art of flat out lies. He told me he'd have the damaged item picked up and send me a replacement. That's been over two weeks ago and it's still sitting on my front porch. So once again I called and the "manager" wasn't there. I asked for him to call me back, I asked for anyone to call me back. To date I have yet to receive a call from anyone regarding this. I have emailed the general manager of this fine establishment only to be ignored by him as well. I'm not in the habit of giving away large amounts of money to [non-permissible content removed]. So if they think I'm just going to give up they are sadly mistaken.
Great Place to Buy a Car But Not to get Service
Over the years I have bought several cars at this dealership and the buying process always goes well. I have tried to get service at this same dealership and always very disappointed. I stopped going to this dealership for service years ago because they never have parts, can't get problems resolved without repeated visits and very slow. I gave them a recent try to change a damaged tire on a 2011 ?Jetta. I thought this dealership at least could change a tire. I was wrong, they could not do it. Three days later I finally had them throw the tire in my trunk and I went home and changed it myself. Ganley VW could not get a tire on my car in three days when any tire dealership could do it in an hour or less. I regret every time I come to this place and no one there seems to care beyond lip service.
A Pleasant Experience
with the advent of the Internet, it was much easier doing business than in the past. I knew coming in what I was willing to pay, what I wanted for my trade in and that's what I ended up with. I got the impression I could have bargained harder, but that's not my style. Dennis and Larry make an excellent team; something I've not seen before.
Best Car Buying Experience Ever -- THANK YOU!
We bought our new VW from Chip Bradford last month. We called in to the dealership to see if they had what we were looking for and spoke to our salesman, Chip, briefly. He knew his inventory, he knew the product, and was extremely helpful. By the time we showed up at the dealership, he had the car pulled around, washed AND the air conditioner was running. We test drove the car, which we LOVED. We dreaded the whole haggling over price bit that we just knew was coming. Our salesperson went over the car, the features, the maintenance program after he got us bottled water and chocolate chip cookies (they HAVE To bake those cookies there... they were almost as good as the car!). We really did our research before setting foot in the dealership, so we knew what we wanted to pay and what we should pay for our new VW. Our salesman asked us if we had done any pricing over the internet and what we had learned from it. We shared our research with him... he asked us a few questions, scribbled a number down on a paper and disappeared. He reappeared a few moments later (presumably after a conference with the boss) and congratulated us because we just bought our new car! We filled out a few papers, and Chip went over the owners manual with us. We went into the paperwork person's office (which we were somewhat dreading as well, from previous experience), but were delighted that she was prepared, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and also respectful of our time. By the time were were done signing our life away, our car was ready and sitting right outside the salesman's office. We rang this bong/gong thing took some pictures, and drove away very happy customers. Our salesman followed up with us the day after we drove our new car (we called him Fritz) home just to see if we had any questions (which we did!). VW is such an excellent brand and the young man who sold us our car was professional, knowledgeable, yet energetic and entertaining at the same time! I'm sending everybody I know to this dealership and this young man!
I purchased a used Tiguan from Joe Walker. He was very helpful and got me in and out within 3 hours including financing. I already knew what I wanted so that saved some time.
I bought a used 2004 Mazda 3 from this dealership. The car only had 22,000 miles on it and everyone was very helpful and nice when I was buying the car. That all changed once I drove it off the lot. The dealership messed up my license plates. They promised me that they would send me a new set of temp tags because my current temp tags were about to expire due to the earlier mix up. The new tags were supposed to be overnight shipped to me, however the dealership called me the night before they were supposed to mail the tags and told me they were no longer going to send me the tags and that It was now my problem. The team member at the service began to yell at me when I told him he already promised that they were going to overnight ship new tags. needless to say they were very unprofessional and irresponsible resulting in me driving my car I bought from them with expired tags. The temp tags weren't the only problem. The clutch went out after I drove the car about 5,000 miles. That's right the clutch went out at a total of 27,000 miles. The clutch repair cost $1500. Not even a week after the clutch went out the A/C compressor broke! That cost another $1100. After all was said and done, the personnel at the dealership are very rude and unprofessional after you purchase a Car from them, and I have had to spend over $2500 on repairs after driving less than 10,000 miles on it... I'm very disappointed with this company!
Horrible over priced servie nightmare
Horrible service department. DO not ever take your car there. I came in for a simple brake job. Said needed new rotors and pads. Cost $500.00 Thought that was steep but paid it. A month later I was smelling a horrible smell and noticed my brakes were grinding again. Took it back to Ganley and the guy said the front brakes were shot and I needed new calipers, pads and a rotor and the brakes were so bad he could ot let me leave and then wanted to charge me for new pads and rotors. I explained to him that I just had the pads and rotors done 5 weeks ago which was only a thousand miles and they should still be under warranty. He acted like he was doing me a favor by getting them under warranty. So I had to geta ride home and come back for a THIRD time to get it fixed right. Well I paid another $350 for a grand toal of $850 for a brake job. Guess what? The brakes are starting to smell after a week and they show rust. Don't think they gave me new rotors at all. SCAM!!
