Very Poor Customer Service

Jeff Demeyer Service Manager, and General Manager Kevin Hand of Johnson Hyundai of Cary provide the absolute worst customer service imaginable. I had what I felt to be a transmission related concern with a brand new car I purchased from the dealership just two years earlier. Jeff Demeyer told me to bring it in and they'd provide me with a loaner during the time my vehicle was under repair. When I got to the dealership he said I'd have to pay $35 a day for a loaner car and if they could duplicate my concern they'd credit me. I then asked to speak to General Manager Kevin Hand who backed Jeff Demeyer and failed to honor what I was originally told. #hyundai #hyundaiofcary #johnsonhyundai #jeffdemeyer #kevinhand

Tire Replacement

The services manager or technician (Mr Rees) was easy to work with. He told me they would be putting on Yokohama tires but ended up putting on Continental without a word as to why, was the cost the same, lesser or better safety rated tires.. Also I had given him discount coupons when I was in for prior service when he gave me an estimate for the follow-up tire service but did not use them when I picked up the car after the tire service. (If they did not apply it would have been nice to have said so.)

Another ridiculous warranty service challenge

Johnson Subaru refused to replace battery on a six month old Outback despite viewing the AAA report stating it had a bad cell. Not once did they refuse but twice. The GM called. Hung up on me and then proceeded to send me emails stating what a bad guy I was?

Shameful Service Experience

I have never had a worse car buying experience in my life! First, I had to wait 6 hours to actually buy my car because other customers were continuously put in front of me in the finance department. I complained and was given a free oil change to compensate. Next, I take my 2015 Crosstrek in to have the Navigation system I already paid for installed and find out NO NAV SYSTEM EXISTS FOR THE 2015! I had to fight to get a $1750 refund check cut and delivered to me. NOW, I have bill collectors calling my house because my trade-in from 3 weeks ago has not been paid off and my previous loan is delinquent. I HAVE HAD TO COMPLAIN TO THE GENERAL MANAGER AGAIN! There is no excuse for this poor and pathetic service. I would never recommend Johnson Subaru to anyone. This whole experience has been a total mess!

I am very pleased with the exceptional service I received from Johnson Subaru of Cary. It was a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend them. I did my research and home work. Subaru is a very reliable car and yet not as expensive as other vehicles. Special thanks to Bill Thomas, Brian Wilson, Braden Wilkerson and Denise Vargus. You all are wonderful. You made it possible for me to purchase a brand new 2015 Subaru. I love my silver Forester. Thank you.

The best dealership in the triangle

We had a fantastic experience at Johnson Subaru of Cary while buying a Crosstrek XV. Very helpful staff and greeted us perfectly. We worked with Caitlin and she was always so patient and accommodating. There were always multiple people to assist us in case someone was not there. They always made us feel welcome and was never in any hurry to close the deal. We had ample time to decide. And talking about the deal, I believe we got a splendid deal not many can beat. The buying experience was fantastic till the time the car was delivered. They even picked us up from or place on the day of the delivery. I am sure Johnson Subaru of Cary will go a long way. Thanks!

Friendly support and quick easy purchase

This was my wife and I's first Subaru. We did extensive research, and I looked up prices online for a few days before actually going to the dealership. My wife knew what she wanted, and after looking through their vehicles on the webpage, they had exactly what we wanted. I went to the dealership expecting to spend a couple hours arguing the price of the vehicle, hoping to at least feel comfortable I didn't pay too much for my vehicle. When it came time to talk price, the sales rep made it fast and easy, and I didn't have to argue. I payed under what the Kelly Blue Book stated was an acceptable rate, and felt very comfortable walking out. The loan agent went through great lengths contacting multiple banks to get them to compete for a rate and in turn got me a great rate for my loan. My wife and I are very happy with the vehicle and there is no feeling afterwards of making a rushed purchase.

The rep at Johnson replied to my online query very quickly , we discussed the car and options I was interested and setup a test drive. The dealership had only a few Outbacks on the lot so we drove one that was close to what I wanted. Strickland 2015 Subaru Outback Limited pt 2

<span style="font-size: 14.3999996185303px;">From start to finish my salesperson (Brian Wilson) stayed in contact with me as the unit was ordered due to inventory shortage, and kept me in the loop and stayed true throughout the experience, this meant a lot to me, as I was in-between a new Honda CRV or the Outback, and both were struggling with inventory issues on the unit/ package I wanted, in the end I've taken ownership of the vehicle I wanted, and I'm glad Brain took the time to educate me on the BRAND/product, not just the sale of the vehicle. In finance, I was advised of the many options that I could purchase, to aid in the over-all life of the unit, THREE of which I did, as Bladen (just as Brain) took the time to educate me on the product, and all the while, under no pressure. I really enjoyed the time Ms. Dennis spent with me going over the car itself, as we all can relate to someone that enjoys what he or she is doing vs someone just working the clock. This young lady took full control of this task, to the point I was doing things hands on, and never once did I get the feeling that I was getting on her last nerve, as my daughter often tells me, she just went right on and stayed on point throughout the process. My 1st Outback was back in 2010 from another dealer in the area, and I must say that the experience at Johnson was second to none, job well done folks.</span>

Bad Out the Door Pricing

I am very disappointed with the level of service I received at this dealership. I was quoted an out the door price that was only good for that day being the last day of the month. I load my family, drive an hour, drive the Crosstrek, make the decision to buy, walk in only to find out that the out the door price did not include taxes. I was then given the spill by the manager that I shouldn’t expect them to pay for the mistake. I was expected to rush from an hour away to get to the dealership for this one day only deal. No, I didn’t expect them to pay for the mistake entirely. We could have split the difference. I left without being offered an apology. What makes the situation even more outrageous is the fact that the salesman caught an error from another dealership in their out the door pricing. I feel like this was a case of bait and switch. I am infuriated that I put my family in a car for two hours used a tank of gas and have nothing to show for it. That is way I laid out the whole deal in an email to make sure this would work last night.

A surprisingly pleasant dealership experience

We armed ourselves with printouts and defensive plans before we walked in to buy our pre-owned car, but there was no need. The staff seemed to have a great workplace culture, laid-back and joking instead of robotic and driven to sell sell sell, while still providing expertise and up-front information about the purchase process. The trade-in review was fair and transparent, and the price was a little better than competitive. Subaru and Mini dealerships are the only two where I've had this kind of easy experience, and Johnson is no exception. Highly recommend.
