I bought a Kia from this dealership several years ago and had a good experience back then. I lately received a letter from the sales manager saying that they were interested in buying back Kias as there was a demand for them. They said that they would pay a significant percentage over book value for the car. I stopped in to them to see what they would pay me and found that this was not true. I was offered the lowest end of book value for the car. This letter was clearly only a come on to get people into the showroom. It was a complete waste of my time!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEAD, BUT ONLY AT YONKERS KIA I am a woman with fifteen years of customer service experience who's been a happy customer at Honda for about 9. I am loyal to the brand that I trust. The only reason I set foot in a Kia dealership was because the gentleman who I've always dealt with at Honda, had unfortunately; relocated to Florida. I had also made what I thought was my final lease payment on my Honda. I entered the Yonkers Kia on Central Park Avenue with my elderly mother. The plan was to turn in my Honda with barely 16k miles and hopefully get into a more economic car payment. Two women at a car dealership. I primarily use my vehicle to simply get to and from the airport because,for a living; I deliver exceptional customer service on board an aircraft. I spent a total of 9 very long hours at Yonkers Kia with Robert Iglesias. In that excessive amount of time I merely test drove a vehicle and signed a contract for a new car. The Kia dealership then took possession of my Honda Civic and I drove off worry free. Two weeks later I notice that Honda had taken a payment for my old car. I found this strange so I called them and questioned the payment. I thought that perhaps there would be an overlap of about a month and I was mentally prepared for that. What I was told was something I was not prepared for; I in fact, had 12 payments left on my Honda lease. Having learned of this huge mistake I took off from work to rush back to the Kia dealership, confused and in panic mode. I was looking to better my financial situation by getting a car at Kia but now I had walked away from a dealership responsible for not one, but two cars. I spoke to someone at Yonkers Kia who told me that the Kia contract was returned "not funded". I thought to myself that this made perfect sense because when my credit was run they must've seen a debt for another lease someway somehow. They had caught the mistake?? I was confused but I headed over eager to resolve the issue anyway. Fast forward to me thinking that everything would be okay. Fast forward to me thinking that I would go to the Kia dealership and I would be treated like a customer who was in need of help. Help from the company she had just put her trust into. Fast forward to sitting in the finance office and being given "options". I sat in an office with the finance manager named Andrew who told me that I had 3 options. All of which did in NO way help me financially. All options included me paying for BOTH cars one way or another. I asked Andrew if there was anyone else I could speak to and if there was anything else that could be done. He called Darwin Oliva the General Manager at Yonkers Kia. I sat in that office waiting for Darwin and thought to myself that there was just no way I wouldn't be helped somehow. When he entered I stated I could not afford two cars. Paying them as one payment combined or both separately were not helping me. I was flabbergasted as to how I could set foot in a dealership and simply state I had zero payments. How it NEVER was verified by anyone on their team. Not the salesman, not the finance manager and not anyone who's hands came across that deal in those 9 hours. I wondered HOW exactly it was that I INDEED was the only person who found this discrepancy at the mercy of my bank app. I looked at the paperwork put together two weeks prior during my long wait at the Yonkers Kia. I EVEN CAME ACROSS a printout which stated I had 12 months left to pay on my existing lease. WHAT?!?!?!!? This leaves me to think that either a) the salesman was aware, he printed it, and purposely didn't disclose this information or b) he overlooked it and made a huge mistake... I was then given an option to not have to pay for 2 of those months. Quite frankly I didn't find this sufficient, given the circumstances. HOW COULD THIS BE? I had so many questions now. Angie our sales person was superb. We came in with the whole family, grandma included to check out the KIA options. We were given patient, considered service, without any pressure. All our questions answered and she graciously handled juggling the many variables we had. She provided us with options for purchasing and leasing in a kind professional way. Management was gracious and willing to work with us. We still need to evaluate options for our final decision, but a wonderful staff and run by good people.
Do not go to Yonkers Kia.....they are lying double talkers
Do not go to Yonkers kia to buy or lease your car. The sales people, the manager and the general manager Darwin, are a bunch of double talkers. We were there to turn in our Kia lease. Finally after four hours of negotiating a deal for our new lease, and leaving a deposit, we decided to make a deal and stay with them. We were told everything was a done deal, and all we had to do was come in the next day to sign papers to finalize everything. Well, we came in the next day to complete the final step of "signing the papers," when all of a sudden we were sidelined with charges they wanted us to pay, which they told us the day before we would not have to if we gave them our business again. We were told we would now have to pay for mileage overage and the little nicks and scrapes on our car, which they told us they would take care of, just to have our business. They turned the tables on us and lied to us at the last minute. Bring your cross and garlic if you go there because they make a living lying and cheating customers
Last week my brother and I went to LOOK at the new Kia Sorento. We were automatically approached by Efrain. He showed us the Sorento and immediately set us up with his salesman Julio. There were no gimmicks and no back and forth when we asked about pricing! They were straight to the point and even gave me and my brother a great deal for both of us. We both ended up buying a 2016 Kia Sorento each. I couldn't have had a better experience with Efrain. Even the general manager, Darwin, came out to check on our experience in his dealership! We had went to Jeep before Kia and I was immediately unimpressed by a salesman and was more unimpressed by the manager at jeep as well! But with Kia second to mind, I went there expecting the same kind of experience. I was wrong! I would proudly recommend Yonkers Kia to anyone ready to buy a vehicle! And it happened all because of Efrain's attentiveness and respect he showed us! Thank you Yonkers Kia for the wonderful and most importantly, comfortable experience there! I will be coming back to buy my daughters birthday gift soon!
I WAS ROBBED,LEFT ANGRY
My husband and i brought our 2004 kia sorento in to be serviced because the heat was not working in the car.everyone was courteous and helpful in the beginning.we were told we had to leave the car which i thought was understandable.while waiting for car to be finished we receive a phone call from a women stating that our brakes needed to be changed,we of course refused being that we had the brakes changed just recently.a few hours later another phone call about the power steering hose was stuck so they will have to change the whole rack which will cost 1,800 dollars more with the 1,600 they already quoted for the service,Crazy huh! After keeping the truck OVERNIGHT WE had to call the next day to find out if they were finished with the work, they didn't even have the courtesy to call us.After telling us "its ready."...We brought the truck in at 7am and picked it up around 1pm the next day.No one never mention that a small service job minus the power steering hose,400 dollars!which they "forgot" to deduct because the other guy who we dealt with in the beginning was not there today and he didn't know what was done,can you imagine that? After doing the numbers for about the third time the total came to around 1,200 dollars as we were paying we noticed a 60,00 dollar charge on the bill for freight charges WHAT THE HECK!! we actually had to pay for the part to be delivered to the service dept. when we disputed it we were told again "i didn't do the paperwork so i can't help you,all of the helpfulness and kindness seem to fly out the window.After a few failed attempts,Frustrated,and angry and for piece of mine we just decided to pay and leave.The day when we brought the truck in we spoke about trading in and upgrading but after this incidence i will never step foot in that place again. Bad first impression.

The price was very competitive, the trade in was fair and the in depth introduction to the vehicle was unlike any we have experienced in the past. Our experience at Yonkers Kia was amazing thanks to Bennie Campbell. From the moment we stepped onto the lot he was sure to make us feel at home and assist us with our purchase. The most valuable part of our experience with Bennie was that he was very honest and willing to assist us with our shopping without pressuring us so that he can make a sale. Our first day, he spent the entire day with us even though we had no intention of purchasing. This is what made us come back and choose Yonkers Kia as our dealership. He made sure we got the car we wanted for the budget that we wanted. Even after our purchase he continues to reach out to us to make sure we are satisfied and to offer assistance in anyway possible. I would definitely recommend Yonkers Kia to anyone (even if you're just taking a look around and seeing what Kia is about). However, you MUST request to work with Bennie Campbell as he will without a doubt have your best interest when assisting you. I am happy to be a part of the Yonkers Kia a Family!!!

The reason why this place is amazing Bennie was so down to earth and i felt like he kept it real the whole time through the acquisition process.He helped me through the whole process and then some. If i gotta go back again only looking to him for cars if i need to change or for anything at all. He explained the car well and tried to get me my ideal car and i got most of what i wanted in my budget. My first car buying experience was great!!!!!

I have gotten vehicles from many different manufacturers but nothing comes close to the way we were treated here. We were helped by Bennie which answered all our questions without being pushy on making the sale. Everyone was friendly and are willing to help. Kias salesman lied to my Daughter!!!!!
This review is from a mother of a daughter that leased a car from Yonkers Kia. My daughter was interested in leasing a car from Kia. She was interested in the 2014 Optima SX. At first the salesman (Delano) told her that the payments were going to be $500 and change a month. But after doing the final paperwork the figures came out to be $617 a month. We discussed that the monthly payment was too high. We discussed she was a full time college student and she worked part-time. We asked Delano is there would be a way to lower the payments and he said we could come in at anytime and put down money to lower the payments. We then discussed that she would be getting money from school in Sept/Oct. So he said when she does come in and put down $1000 and that would lower it to $500 and change and if we come in with $2000 that would lower it to $400 and change (more affordable). We trusted his words before she signed the lease that night. He even told us he would not be getting commission from leasing that car to her. I even asked him if she could return the car at anytime and he said YES with fees but he didnt mention the leftover payments. He wasnt very knowledgeable at all I found out LATER!!!!! I had a leary feeling that night but trusted that Delano was knowledgeable about the payment option of putting down money LATER to lower the payments. Little did I know that he was lying just to make the lease deal. The next day (not even 24 hrs after she signed the lease) I called Kia Finance to confirm what he said and was told by a representative at Kia Finance that you CANT put money down after you sign a lease to lower the payments. We went right back to Kia the next day and spoke to Delano and told him we wanted to cancel the lease and he said nothing can be done the paper work had been sent to Kia Finance and I said it hasnt even been 24 hrs. He said nothing could be done. I spoke to another salesman (didnt get his name) and I said how can we return this car and he said the only way to get out of the deal is to TOTAL the car. Some advise for a salesman to give us .Wow!!! Well, being the honest people we are, we are trying to expose Kia to other consumers and to the Better Business Bureau, Westchester Consumer Protection, Cars.com and we have written reviews on Yelp and on Yonkers Kia personal complaint site with hopes that other consumers read and find out how disloyal they are!!!!! Kia needs to do right by my daughter and take back this car that they leased to us by LYING!! My daughter is in a 4 year lease deal (3 yrs left) and shes struggling to make these payments. I watched her struggle since June 2014 to make these payments and sometimes crying because shes barely making them, at one point she was working 3 jobs!!! I finally said enough is enough lets make Kia make this right!!! So now we have been calling Kia for the last 2 weeks. I left msgs with Ashley and Stephanie to have the owner Josh Aronson call us back. He hasnt called yet. My daughter went to see Sal on June 7th and he cant help us. Said Darwin was on vacation. We asked for a phone number to contact Josh and he gave us the number to Yonkers Kia!!!! Really!!! Hes never at Yonkers Kia so why would he give us a phone number to call him there. Thats where Ive been calling to speak to him for the last 2 weeks!!!! Ive talked to and visited Darwin (general mgr) several times last year. He would do nothing to help us. He told us to come in with $3000 and he would put her into a more affordable car and when we did in October 2014 he said the equity on the Optima is too high and the weather is changing and that no one is going to want to purchase a sports car and a third party will not buy it from her, then he said to come back with $9000!!!! To see what he could do!!!! Really, Really!!! Where is she gonna get $9000!!!! So like I said since then she is struggling to make these payments. I will continue to write complaints and contact whatever agency I can to see if I can get results to get Kia to TAKE BACK THIS CAR!!!!! THE ONLY REASON SHE SIGNED THE LEASE WAS BECAUSE THE SALESMAN (DELANO) SAID SHE COULD PUT DOWN MONEY AT ANYTIME LATER TO LOWER HER PAYMENTS!!!!!
I recently went to KIA with low expectations on getting a new car. Met with salesman Ali who explained my options and went above and beyond to explain and satisfy my needs. Little time later i was driving out in a brand new Sorento. From the paperwork to the plates including notifying my insurance the entire staff at KIA is awesome will definitely recomend them and by again in a few years THANKS
Don't live up to promises/lack of professionalism
I was contacted by Yonkers Kia about trading in my Kia Sedona. i don't live close to the dealership and I was hesitant since i had been there about one month earlier and couldn't get the deal i wanted and didn't want to make the trip unless i knew i could get the deal we discussed. The sales person, Ronnie, relentlessly called me and promised me, as i was skeptical, that she spoke with the general Manager, and he approved the deal. So I go down to meet with the GM, Darwin, for my scheduled appointment and he wasn't there due to an "emergency". It would have been nice if someone from the dealership contacted me to reschedule my appointment since Darwin was not going to be there. Since i was upset, the sales person reassured me that the GM will call me on Monday (I went there on a Saturday) to discuss whether he could even do the deal. Then on my way home, his secretary, Latoya, called me to confirm that the Darwin will call me on Monday. Monday comes and goes, no call from Darwin. I even tried calling him, he was in a meeting and never returned my call. I also have a history with Yonkers Kia having leased 2 cars over the past few years from them. Not sure if this is a new way of dealing with customers as i had a reasonably pleasant experience in the past but I will never use them again and highly DON'T recommend them as they clearly don't live up to what they promise or even have the professional courtesy to call you back. BEWARE!!
Bad Experience with Lazslo
We were interested in the 2015 Kia Soul Plus with the Primo Package in yellow. The MSRP listed on their website was $25,090 ($24,400 + $690 of accessories). The internet price listed on their website was $23,833. We had called the dealership prior to visiting and Ronnie gave us the internet price of $23,833. We arrived at the dealership yesterday (2/1/15). Lazslo (Miklos?) was our salesperson. After checking out the car, we sat down to talk price. Lazslo gave us a price of $24,400, which was above what Ronnie had told us over the phone of $23,833. We told him that price was actually listed on their own website. I was surprised he wasn't aware of the prices listed on their website and the lack of communication within the dealership. Lazlo then proceeded to pull up kia.com on his computer and showed us the special financing that Kia was offering, which was 0.9% for 36 or 60 months, or 1.9% for 72 months. We told him we wanted to do 0.9% for 60 months. After agreeing on the financing, we started to negotiate on the price. Initially, he stood firm on $23,833. We got up and said we wanted to shop around. Naturally, he asked us to give him a price that would make us take the car home today. We said $22,833. Lazlo spoke with his manager and said we got a deal. We spent over 3 hours at the dealership going through the paperwork and waiting for the finance manager. When we finally got to speak with the finance manager after waiting for over an hour, he told us the interest rate was 3.9%. We told him we wanted to do the 0.9% special financing. He said that would be okay except the price would go up by $1,000. He called Lazlo in and he completely denied that the price we agreed on was for the 0.9% special financing. He twisted his words and said it was either $1,000 rebate or special financing. At absolutely no point during our negotiation did he ever mention the word rebate or that we would lose it if we chose special financing. They refused to honor the price so we walked out. We are very disappointed with Lazlo because we felt very comfortable with him. He gave us a whole speech on how he felt customer satisfaction was key to success in the sales business. We believed him but it turned out to be a load of crap. Not to mention the complete waste of time at the dealership.
Was in doubt of buying a Kia. Spend only 3hours (the less I have spend in any dealer), and came out with a 2013 Used Kia Sorento. The costumer service at this dealership is shockingly great and people orientated. They are willing to go above and beyond for the customer. I must check out. Have nothing bad to say about the whole operation. Great job guy and gals! KEEP IT UP!!

First off, I just want to say this is my second time coming back to purchase a vehicle from this Dealership. The staff was knowledgable and very helpful with what I was looking for. I explained to them what I needed, so Darwin and Bennie delivered with a great Kia Sorento for me. I would highly recommend them 10 times over! Better than expected
I went to Yonkers Kia not knowing what to expect and instantly felt at home. I actually used this site to help me with my search and ultimately the sales person I wanted to deal with. Bennie C is everything others have said and more, he took his time to help me find the right car for me and my family and was a man of his word when it came down to creating a "Purchase Plan" as he calls it that would fit my needs. The Big Boss (Darwin I think), made sure we had everything we needed and on that hot day continously offered us beverages to make sure we were OK. Stephanie in finance was also a pleasure to deal with as she made sure we understood everything and that we were completely satisfied with our new Kia. Bennie also helped things along as he had answers for everything. Yonkers Kia is definitely the place you should go if you're looking for a new or preowned Kia. Salesman Julio refused to honor the agreement he made to replace the worn tires on the car I agreed to buy and on which I had left a $500.00 deposit. He lied to me at every turn while pressuring me to sign paperwork. I refused to sign until they made good on their promise. Got jerked around for 3 days until they refused to sell me the car unless I bouhgt it "as is". They obviously never had any intention of mounting those new tires. Julio clearly assumed that he could dupe me. Then he said that I would not get my deposit back for 2-3 days. [non-permissible content removed]
Yonkers KIA staff went above and beyond. The whole staff was pleasant, very helpful, respectful and very efficient. They all went the extra miles. Had a great experience with Al H. He's extremely professional, knowledge and made it comfortable for me to make my decision in joining the KIA family.
