Purchasing a car with felix was a breeze. He gave me honest prices upfront, no haggling or wasting time. They were extremely communicative through the entire process. I always knew exactly what was going on and there were no suprise fees at the end. Thank you!

Waste of Time

bysontricon 03/01/2017

They can sell you a car which even cannot get the inspection through. They don't inspect their cars before selling to you, they don't even clean their cars. So you never know what you'll get after you paid.

Never again

byAWELLS718on 11/12/2016

I just want to say I am a Customer Experience Manager for the long Island and Queen Region for several healthcare clinics. My job is to insure my doctors, nurses and other staff members are providing a world class customer experience to our patients. What I've experienced at this shop was far from Nemet’s core value “to always treat each and every person who steps foot into our dealership with the utmost respect, professionalism, and eagerness to please“. My 2013 Hyundai Sonata LTD experienced engine failure due to the recall on this particular model. I immediately contacted the nearest Hyundai Service location in September 2016, which happened to be 153-12 Hillside Ave Jamaica, NY 11432 I was told that I could tow my car to the service center, however it would not be looked at until a week and a half later. When my appointment day finally came around. I had to constantly contact and leave messages in order to get an update on my car. • The customer service reps in the service department are in desperate need of training. They constantly blind transfer calls, send you to voicemail, and are outright rude an unprofessional via phone and in person, their favorite words are I don’t Know without seeking the proper assistance. They act like you’re bothering them when you inquire about your car. • On the rare chance that I did actually speak to the right person (Marcia, Service overseer) on the phone she tells me she going to call me back, but of course that didn’t happen on a few occasions and when I called to follow up on why she hasn’t called me she had left for the day without calling me back. • Once I was finally informed that my car needed a new engine that would be covered by Hyundai. I requested a rental car. ( at this point I have been without a car for about two weeks waiting to see if Hyundai would cover the repairs) I was then finally told by Marcia that I could come in to pick up the rental car (I took 3 trains to get there) I handed the “customer service” rep, Nisha Edmund my documentation and I. D. Nishi took my $300 deposit and completed all the paperwork then realizes the system rejected it because I’m under 25 years of age. I’ve physically been in the shop twice before and have called in plenty of times in regards to a rental and no one ever inquired about my age and clearly this Nisha didn’t even bother to look at my driver’s license before charging my card, what a waste of time. • Over the course of time I continued to call to inquire about the ETA of the Engine for my car because no one is calling to update me. Each time I was told I don’t know and hung up on. It wasn’t until I reached out to the service manager Wayne that same day to find out that my engine was on back order and has an ETA of November 26. • Marcia called me to inform me that my engine had arrived on November 8, 2016 and that I should have my car by the end of the week. Marcia then left a voicemail on my phone informing me that my car was ready for pick up on November 10, 2016. When I called back she then stated I would have to pay $81. When I asked why because the engine is covered under the recall. Marcia stated the mechanic performed a flush on my car which is not covered. She goes on to say because she was unaware that the mechanic had done so until later she’s charging me $81 instead of $100+ as if she’s doing me a favor. I contacted the service manager, Wayne the next morning to tell him that no one contacted me nor did I approve this flush being done on my car and that I wasn’t going to pay the $81. Wayne agreed and told me I can pick up my car. • Of course when I go to pick up my car I was asked to pay the $81. At this point I wasn’t even surprised that the changes were not properly communicated to the “customer service” reps (I didn’t pay and took my car) • The service man drives my car to me and the outside of car was filthy (the shop had my car from September- November 11). The signs within the building clearly reads free carwash with service. I inquired why my car was not washed and the guy gave me a free voucher. • I drove my car back to my job’s parking lot, turn the car off, come back out to attempt to get lunch, try to turn the car on and it shut back off. • I call the customer service rep told her what just happened and clearly she was not listening because she asked me if I could drive it back to the shop. I spoke to the service manager who had two service men come to my job to jump my battery. The two service men informed me that my battery was bad and needed to be replace. Once the men jumped my battery I had to leave my car running in the parking lot for two hours until I got off work in order for me to drive it home. • I called the service manager back to ask him how in the world dose a shop have a car for nearly 2 months to replace the engine, test drive the car and does not notice that the battery is bad, doesn't notify the customer and allow the customer to drive off the lot with the car. The service manager stated the mechanic attempted to charge the battery but he guesses that didn’t work (yet the Nemet Nissan service and repair center claims to have certified mechanics). The service manager stated he apologizes and that they dropped the ball on this after I told him this was unacceptable and had the nerve to ask me when I was coming back to replace the battery. I kindly told him I will never come back to Nemet Nissan Service and Repair for anything and that my experience was horrible. I find it very suspicious that my battery was working fine when it entered the shop and now there is something wrong with it an no one informed me of any issue with the battery and now I need to replace the battery minutes after I pick my car up from the shop I believe something needs to be done about my battery. I'm I am very displease with this shop.

Great Experience

byField663on 05/23/2016

We recently bought a Nissan Murano. We were treated with respect. The sales person was honest and explained all the costs to us up front. When we went into the finance office there were no surprises. I cannot tell you how many times I have gone to dealership and they try to get more money out of you. Not, at Nemet. See Brian Derrick and Sherrette Corsey.

Great people Great dealership

byjoed0622on 03/14/2016

I recently purchased my 6th vehicle from Nemet Nissan. From the minute I walked in the door the experience was fantastic. The salesman took the time to explain the features of the vehicle as well as my finance options. I took delivery of my new Rogue the very same day and I'm enjoying every minute of driving this fantastic car. Thanks to Scott and Steve who made my experience memorable. If you are considering buying a Nissan get to Nemet and enjoy the experience.

I should sue them but I'm going to let God take care of them

bybibi_0714on 10/05/2015

I bought a 2014 nissan versa I already paid 9000 off I recently contacted the bank I found out I paid only 4000 on the car and 5000 for interest I was enraged and the banker felt so bad for me that was the biggest mistake ever! But my lawyer is still working on it. My point is do not go to nemet you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Just imagine a car cost 14000 now you're paying a bank 5000 a year for interest just do the math for 4 to 5 years of finance

One of the worst leasing experience for Nissan

bygibs2001on 09/13/2015

I am looking for leasing out Nissan Rogue S 2015 and when I called Nemet on 12th September, to match a value, the salesman from Nemet gave me a quote that was very aggressive and he called me to get the car keys in 1 hour. This was the time he knew from the discussion that was needed by me to travel from Bohemia to Jamaica (around 40 miles). The worst thing happened when I reached there. I was told by the salesman the figures that were shared with me were fictitious and the car cannot be provided to me at that value. On asking how this can happen, the manager just came and apologized and that's it! They DO NOT care for the time and effort lost due to their incorrect commitments! Advice - Never ever go to them to buy a Nissan. With this clear breach of trust and commitments shown and worst ever customer service I saw at any American dealership, Not sure how Nissan does its customer satisfaction surveys at the dealership!

Very poor customer sales experience

byJazzboxon 08/06/2015

The short story: Once you sign the contract, they just leave you with your car not ready for delivery on the parking lot. They treat customers in an unethical way during the sales process. They manipulate information and justify prices randomly. Communication among themselves and with customers is very poor. They don’t care about the reputation of their dealership or the customer experience. The wait time is very long (done on purpose?) No one will explain to you what’s happening. The personnel act in an unprofessional way in front of customers. They are not there to make customers for life, but to make a one-time deal. Who will come back when treated this way? The detailed version: After I went there with my wife to buy a Rogue and having a positive contact with one of the managers, I went back few weeks later believing that I found a dealer I can work with. I found an offer on a Rogue 2015 on their website. Before I go, I filled up the finance application on their website and got pre-approved (which proved to be totally useless by the way, I had to give all the information over again at the dealership). The sales person was nice and helpful in the beginning. When the he called a manager to check the price, they added to the online price (which was supposed to be the MSRP) the destination fees and 434$ vehicle preparation fees. They also imposed that I get financing through Nissan at a high interest rate (even though my credit score is above 700 and there was a 0% financing offer). I accepted this offer as it was still a fair price. After almost 3 hours waiting while my application was (supposedly) being processed, they asked me to come back tomorrow because the finance needed more time to work on it. They said they will call me to confirm. The day after, I received a phone call from the sales person saying the car is ready and that I need to come over. I went again hoping that we just have to sign papers and take the vehicle which was supposed to be ready for delivery (they said the day before that the car will be ready and washed before delivery. Remember, they charged me vehicle preparation fees). I was assigned this time by the manager to another sales person (David), saying that Rohan (the first sales person) is coming later that day (he never showed up by the way although he called saying that he will be there to deliver the car). After a long wait, I went to the finance manager. When I entered his office, he was laughing hysterically and joking with colleagues, without even sharing what is happening or explaining, totally ignoring my presence. Then came the moment of truth. The finance guy began talking about my monthly payments (a classic tactic again) and when I insisted on the total sales price, he gave me a much higher price and interest rate (reading the other reviews, this is a classic manipulation there it seems). When I tried to explain that it is not the deal we agreed upon, he was justifying the new price coming up with shady fees and so did the manager when he came over to clarify. We finally came to an agreement close to the original one after this unnecessary hassle and bustle, arguing and bargaining. What a waste of time. After finishing the signing, I thought that my troubles were over. I went to get my car, but the sales person vanished, appearing intermittently, and when I finally got hold on him, he became rude. I found myself alone on the car lot with a dirty car, not ready for delivery as agreed upon. The stickers were still on, the license plates were not even installed and there was only one key in the car. When I called the other sales person over the phone (who was supposed to come), the two of them were arguing with each other in front of me. I had to complain to the manager about this to have the second key delivered and the plates installed. They said I need to bring the car back for a wash. Do they really think that after all this I will ever come back)?

BEWARE!!! This Dealership is Dishonest...

byEddie1216on 07/20/2015

So, I go into the dealership with a Truecar certificate to lease a car. I was so happy with the price that was offered, I didn't even haggle to bring the price down more. When Brian, the salesman, comes back he shows me a monthly quote which I thought was from the purchase price that we spoke of, since it was the only one we spoke of. Seemed a bit high, but I agreed. FIVE HOURS of waiting to see the finance guys!!! By the time I get to him, I'm hungry, exhausted and shaky (Which I have a feeling this was part of their plan, as well). The finance guy was also acting like he was in a rush, telling me he had to leave before the bank closed...So, I felt rushed, ...So I start signing away cause at this point I just wanted to get out of there. When I get home and I'm reviewing the lease agreement, I realize that the purchase price is $4000 over what we agreed upon. When I call to discuss, they tell me that they are interested in fixing the problem and will call to schedule a meet. This call never happened. I had to just stop by the dealership to discuss. So now I'm talking to Mario, the sales manager, and he's telling me all these excuses of how the car I wanted was already sold so they gave me this one and this one had more options and gadgets and that's why it was more expensive. Meanwhile, I was never told this during the purchase time. Ultimately, a few weeks ago, we settled on an amount which I have yet to see. It's unfair that they can get away with this kind of robbery. Fortunately, I work in a law firm and was advised to take them to small claims since I actually have a singed document from them stating that they owe me that amount. Horrible business people. I mean I'm leasing the car, and I'm going to continue leasing a car...just not with them. They lost out of more money scamming me.

I HATE THIS PLACE

bydidilissetteon 04/24/2015

I took my car in this week to have my tire repaired on a "brand new" 2014 Nissan Rogue I leased in June 2014. This is my 4th visit in the 10months I've owned this vehicle, for the same reason... Aside from the fact they never seem to fix the problem on the first, or even second try, and in this case third.... this time around, after 4 HOURS fixing a flat, they didn't even return the spare tire to its proper storage compartment. They left it out taking up my trunk space. [non-permissible content removed] Who does that?!?! They do because they are lazy and incompetent. Its really unfortunate that I didn't realize this while I was there because I would have certainly made a scene. I'm embarrassed to admit I've leased with them more than once despite my awful experiences with my first lease and now my second lease... They know a young and naïve customer when they see one and they won't hesitate to take full advantage of that. But believe me this will be the very last time I deal with them.. they are in all honesty an awful dealership and Nissan should really not associate with them. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!

"GIVE MY MONEY BACK!!!! "

byHaitianon 01/05/2015

I am an international student from Massachusetts. I've been in the U.S. for about two years, and this is my time to try to buy a car here. Before this experience, I thought all of American people are honest and can be trusted, and I really had a very good life in this country. On Dec 28, I went to Nemet Nissan for a 2011 Civic. Bobby and Shawn took care me and my friends. They are very nice guys. My friends and me tried the car, and it is nice except the brake. They said they can fix the brake, the next day. And ask me to pay 3000 dollars downpayment firstly, and at that time I was not sure whether the brake can be fixed and also I still didn't anything about finance interest rate. However, both Bobby and Shawn said that I can get my all money back anytime if I don't want the car, two of friends are Witnesses. That's why I let them swipe my card. The next day Dec 29, I came back to Nemet Nissan, and check the brake thing, we still felt the brake was not good. And also we wait about a whole afternoon for the finance thing. At about 6pm, I lost my patience. I decided to cancel the order. And then my nightmare began at that time. Then a rude guy with sunglasses said they won't give my money back, and if I don't the car, I can't get a dollar back. I was really really shocked. I can't believe these cheating things happen in the US. So I stay the shop for argue until about 9 pm. In the end, a kind gentleman said I can go, and they will give my money back, and I will receive the money in 2 or 3 days. My friend also witness his word. I choose to believe him. But until now Jan 5, I haven't yet get my money back. I called Bobby several times, and he said I will definitely get my 3000 dollars back. I am already getting Despair. I am pursuing my PhD degree here, and I earn a little money by grading and teaching. I have start to save this 3000 dollars since one year ago. This money is really important for me. I will definitely fight for my money. I planned to talk the legal services in my university or then call the police, but I've just seen the several replies from the General Manager Mr. Scott Perlstein. Maybe, Mr. Scott Perlstein is a good guy, and can help me get my money back. If I can get my money in two days, I will update this review. This is my first to get through this kind thing here, and I am also asking for helps here. If anyone can help me and give me some advice for this, please call me [Phone number removed]. In the end, I believe the US is still the great country as I thought, and I believe I can get my money back no matter how hard it is.
