Hyundia Santa fe 2015

I bought my Hyundia Santa fe at this dealer ship new 2015 and when I had an issue with the inner passenger wheel well coming undone and melting on the tire since it happened on my way home from work on the highway, I called them after I got home which was on a friday , the guy said look all our guys have gone home and I cant look at it tomorrow go to a garage and have them check it and help you, I then was offered a appointment on that Monday to have it looked at the vehical isnt even a year old , but they told me it wouldnt be covered under warrantyit happens the plastic pop rivets come lose all the time , really then hyundia has an issue I have owned several vehicles and have never heard of such a thing , needless to say they wanted close to 500.00 to repair it , I called hyundia Aug. 16 and filed a complaint, never got a call back from them or the dealership, so on Sept 9th I called Hyundia to be told they cant do anything the warranties are whatever the dealer ship says , well needless to say they suggested I get a second opinion, really this isnt a doctors appt, If its so common that the Hyundia's wheel wheels come lose and melt then I think Hyundia has an issue. I will never buy another Hyundia or use Simmons Rockwell ever again and I will let everyone I know not to , because they want to steal money from a customer then honor a warranty and may I add I have an extended warranty , which I pay extra for and they still want me to pay 500.00 to replace the inner wheel . Sorry you rip off Dealership. You will never get any more of my money and I will make sure no one I know buys from you ever.

Buyer Beware!

Consumer beware! We recently had an issue with our 2007 Hyundai needing a new catalytic converter - so we were told. Service rep A called to inform us of their findings and that it would cost $1008.00. Our car was barely over the 80,000 emissions warranty and were informed Hyundai refused to offer any goodwill gesture to us toward the repair. The price quote on the work order I was given went up to $1205.00, apparently service rep A only quoted me the price of the part itself... would be nice to be quoted the price for the entire repair!! We were told we could see if we could get the part ourselves to save money and they would put it in for 2 hours labor charge - $175. We found the part at numerous other Hyundai dealerships for $400 less than SR was charging us. So we ordered the part online (SR gave us the part #) and then spoke to service rep B to schedule a time to install it. He then said it would only take 1/2 hour to put in, not 2. He said the charge would be $49. We had to drop the vehicle off a day early as my husband was scheduled for emergency surgery the day of scheduled repair, due to a cancer diagnosis. This was explained to service rep B. About an hour before leaving for my husband's surgery, service rep B called to say in a roundabout, confusing, “don’t blame me” way, that there was a mix-up and we were quoted the price for a catalytic converter repair when the part was actually a manifold. He said the labor would be 14 hours!!! It made absolutely no difference to them what they told us and what they quoted us in writing. Basically, the attitude I got on the phone was, we (SR) screwed up (no apology) but you’re going to pay the price for our mistake, too bad. I reminded service rep B that my husband was about to have cancer surgery that day, and thanked him for dumping that unnecessary added stress on us. I also told him not to touch the car. Two days later, I went in to get my keys and the work order I was given by service rep B, now said it was going to be 20 hours of labor!!! Unbelievable!! I took my car to Cole Muffler down the road to see if they would be able to do it. They are the most helpful, honest people. I am so glad I went there. By chance a mechanic was there from a different car dealership. I explained everything to him and showed him all the paperwork from SR. He said what SR was quoting for the repair was [non-permissible content removed], that it was a 4 hour repair, 5 tops. He has his own garage that he works in on his days off. He was nice enough install the part for us for $150!!! Would I recommend SR? Absolutely not!! If you value your $$, stay away! I wouldn’t buy a car from them if they were the only dealership in a 200 mile radius! The service manager asked us if we’ve ever made a mistake… my reply, “yes, when we make mistakes we own them… why can’t Simmons-Rockwell?” They think they are so big, and sell so many cars that they don’t need to worry about losing a customer here & there. Well, I hope this review will be seen by many, and many will think twice before giving them any business.

Outstanding customer service

I just purchased an elantra from Simmons and Rockwell today and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from the sales staff. I called yesterday and spoke with John Thatcher and within an hour I was pre-approved...with less than stellar credit. We made an appointment for this morning to go for a test drive. When I returned financing only took twenty minutes of my time to negotiate. And contrary to popular belief there is some negotiating room- not a lot, but enough that I left feeling I was taken care of appropriately. Of course they want to sell the extras and add-ons, but that is their job...I expected that. They were very understanding of my concerns on some of these and really didn't press to hard to make me buy. Steve Sullivan did a great job with crunching the numbers to keep me in the price range I wanted to be in. They were both very friendly to work with, and I felt extremely comfortable the entire time. Professional, friendly, accommodating staff all the way around. I would highly recommend S&R to anyone looking for a car used or new. I would especially recommend potential customers ask for John Thatcher as their sales rep- he will take great care of you; I guarantee most reasonable people will walk away from his desk feeling good about their purchase. I've owned 6 cars in m life, and this was by far the best shopping experience I ever had purchasing a car.

Great deals, but be alert

They have the best deals in the state of NY. The lowest prices anywhere. Do your homework and be very alert. The sales guy will be OK, its the finance guy you have to keep a close eye on. They sell the cars cheap becuase the hope to upsell you on extras. stand your ground, they will keep lowering the price of the extras. If your like me, I didn't buy anything extra and the finance guy tried to extend my payments for another 3 months. Why? It wasn't to lower my payment, it was to put me past the 60 month payment plan and into a higher interrest rate. BUSTED!!! I went staight to the manager and unloaded a verbal assault. Things changed quickly. I had a new finance guy and an even lower interrest rate then when I started. They have great deals, pricing that is way below blue book, but do your homework and be alert.
