Changing my rating

I am giving three stars rather than five due to the following incident. I've had my new car for two weeks today. A few days ago, we received a notice from our insurance company stating they needed copies of the bill of sale, windshield stickers or photos of the car. This, meaning that though the car was listed with them , NO payment would be made if a claim were issued. To me this is driving with NO insurance at all.. We spoke with our insurers the next business day ( we got the notice on Saturday) Nothing from Vision.. We called the dealership, and our salesman immediately phoned corporate offices. He was told the papers had been sent, but the lady would re send them to make sure.. We waited an hour or so... Phoned the Insurance company.. NOTHING !! We drove to the insurance office, and after a total of 1 1/2 hours, still NOTHING from Vision. We ended up having the photos taken.. My caveat : Make certain ALL is in place before driving your new car around town ! Don't let this happen to you !

A bit dissappointed

Two weeks ago, we purchased a 2019 Kona.. Our salesman, Ed was very accommodating to our needs to consider pricing and trade in values.. As we were dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's in order to take the vehicle home, we noticed another salesman actually SHOWING OUR NEW CAR to another couple.... It was parked right outside the showroom window, so I assume this man knew it was ready for pickup.. He had the doors open, the hatchback as well, for the couple to puruse.. Fortunately, our salesman, Ed, immediately went out, closed the doors on the car, strongly advised the people to move away, and proceeded to put plates on the car.. MANY THANKS to ED !! Two days ago, we received a notice from our Insurance company saying they needed copies of the Bill of Sale, window stickers or else have photos taken of the car... As long as this was not done, NO payments for claims would be made if entered... We called Vision... Ed told us Corporate should have sent the informantion . He called them , then phoned us saying that the papers had been sent and would be sent a second time to make sure.. We waited an hour, then called our Insurance company.. NO PAPERS RECEIVED!!! We ended up driving to the insurance office and having the car photographed... Someone, somewhere along the line DID NOT DO THEIR JOB !!!!

Does not know what "Expedite means

About two weeks before Memorial Day my wife an I were considering getting a new vehicle trading in a vehicle we purchased a few years ago from this dealership. As we went to go, we couldn't find the title and actually didn't remember receiving it. So, my wife called the DMV and come to find out it never got sent to us and was still listed under the prior owner. Apparently, there was a paperwork issue between the dealership and the DMV. We were concerned, but we've purchased 6 vehicles in the past from this dealership with little issue, so we figured they could get this fixed. We went and explained what we found and was told they had consolidated the departments that this is handled off site. They said they'd get back to me next week. Well, that week went by and I didn't hear back. So, I called Memorial Day weekend and was told the Manager was off, but they would have him contact me the next Tuesday. That came and went, so I called back and talked to a manager. It's been so long ago I don't remember who it was. I was told that the department that handled the fix was advised and would do what they could to "expedite" getting the title issue fixed. However, I was told to it was more than likely it would take 6 weeks to process. I wasn't really happy about that, but nothing I could do. Two months went by and we didn't receive the title nor any calls or contact from the dealership. So, I called and the Manager did apologize for the delay and said he'd find out and get back to me. He called back and said there was some confusion and they were working on "expediting" the paperwork. I said that what I was told two months ago. The Manager apologized again and I told him that as soon as he hears anything to please contact me. Well I never heard back. I called back again in Mid October. I asked to talk to the Manager but was told none were available. Not real happy, but not wanting to take it out on the person I talked to, I told her what's been happening. I asked her to leave a message for the manager to call me the next day advising me what was happening with my title. If I didn't hear from anyone I would be there in person after work to get answers. The next day and I didn't get a call, so I stopped after work. I went into the front office and told them who I was and wanted to know what's going on with my title. I was told that they contacted the department handling it and they were "expediting" thru the system. I said, okay please give the name of the person at that office so I can get the info directly from them. Apparently, that question wasn't expected because I had to wait 20 minutes while the manager was on the phone. I never got the number but was told he would call me the next day with details. Next day came and went and I never got a call. So, I called and asked for me and was told he had that day off and did I want to talk to another manager. I did the manager actually remembered me from my visit. I was told he figure out what's happening and call me back shortly. I never call a call. I called back an hour later and he said, "I was just getting ready to call you". I was again told they are "expediting" the title thru and would I would be contacted next week by the manager. Never got a call back. So, once again I asked what's going on with my title. He told me he had info, but had to pull up his emails. He then stated that I would have the title in two weeks. I said okay, please forward that email to me so I can have something physical stating that because I no longer believe what I'm being told. He then said oh, that wasn't from an email it was based on the call he had. I told him I didn't care at this point if it was an email from someone or an email from him, I wanted an email stating what I was just told. So, he sent email and email Fast forward to today, three weeks later and I have no title and nobody has contacted me. What the dealership doesn't know is about a week ago my wife called the DMV herself. In short, she was told the process had only be started three weeks ago or so, and the title should be sent out in a few weeks. To sum up. This is how this dealership handles clients who have purchased 6 vehicles and was looking to buy another. Wonder how they treat a brand new customer? It's really sad, there are some folks there that we liked dealing with and my wife really liked the sonata she had. However, we will never purchased a vehicle from this dealership ever again because apparently they only know how to sell vehicles and don't have a clue what to do afterwards.

Great experience

I had a fantastic experience at Vision Hyundai Canandaigua. Zach was our salesman, and was EXCELLENT! He got me driving the car I wanted within my price range and was just great to work with. Wasn't pushy or overbearing like some car dealers can get. He had the answers to all of our questions. If I had a question or asked anything after hours, I just sent a text and he responded in a timely manner. I had a great experience overall and can't say enough about the attention Zach gave us. I would definitely will be back for my next vehicle.

Super Car Buying Experience!!

Started by looking for a car on-line. Was contacted by the dealership and was informed that the had just gotten in some new 2018 models in. Went in and met Ed who listened to what I wanted and could afford. He tried used cars first then realized that with the rebates on the new 2018 cars, I could get a NEW Car for actually a lower payment then the used car. Test drove it, talked about price options and trade in but I wanted to think it over for the night. Car was held until next day and went in to do paperwork. Once the credit actually came back from credit union, the payment was actually $30 less then we had talked about. AWESOME! Thanks Ed and everyone there for a great car buying experience!!!

Amazing Experience

I bought a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe, and the experience I had with Joe and Andy was amazing. When you go into a dealership the first thing you think of is getting overwhelmed with sales consultants trying to get you into a car. That is not the feel here at all. The feel that I got from this dealership was very family oriented. Vision Hyundai of Canandaigua stands out from the rest. Everyone is extremely friendly and courteous, and professional. They are not trying to force you into something you cannot afford or that you dont need. They find the right car that fits your budget and your needs. Joe and Andy, you have earned a customer for life! I would HIGHLY recommend you to my friends and family! Rather than publish a horrific review of the dealership, I would rather outline the timeline of events that occurred with my used vehicle I purchased. You can determine for yourself the type of experience I've had thus far with them: 9-30-14 Purchased Vehicle (2007 Mazda CX-7) 10-2-14 Grinding noise, sanded rust off rotor 10-24-14 Car wouldn't start, had towed, replaced battery in key fab 10-25-14 Car wouldn't start, had towed, said battery cable loose 10-31-14 Car wouldn't start, had towed, replaced battery terminal 11-24-14 Car wouldn't start, had towed, replaced battery and both key fabs 12-30-14 Car wouldn't start, had towed..still waiting for issue to be resolved. Currently driving a loaner vehicle.
