I thought I was purchasing a vehicle for the price advertised on the web page. When I reviewed the documents I saw that I was charged $3,485.00 more than I the advertised price. When I tried to have this straightened out I was told it was too late.
Not sure about that other review, but A+ rating here!
Just purchased my first VW. A 2015 Golf TSI. Andy Amato and everyone else at Prestige were very professional. I originally went to test drive a few cars as I had narrowed down my choice to similar cars in its class. When I arrived I was left alone which is normally not the case at a dealership. I am always weary of even going to look at cars because of the barrage of salesman storming out of the door asking me a million questions when all I want to do was look. Andy came out after a while and was very calm and professional. He found the types of cars I was looking for in their inventory (or could get them by the next day if not) and was even willing to stay at the dealership after his normal work day to help me out (I had to drop off my son 30 min away and come back). There was no "run back and forth to my manager" nonsense here. I was presented with terms I was okay with and I left the same day with a brand new car that I love. I couldnt say enough about how seamless, patient, and professional this entire experience was. I will, at this point, only want a VW now (Andy made a reference to how sincere some people are to this brand and I am seeing why every time I get into my car!) and will always return to Prestige for my vehicles. Andy took the time before I left to come sit in the vehicle with me and go over every button, bell and whistle. Truly A+ Service. Thank you Andy Amato, and thank you Prestige VW! - Josh B
They tried to help but I felt decieved
I went to this dealership on a whim since I was in the area. I was looking at used VW GTI's, of which they had 3 I was interested in. I ended up test driving all three of them, and started looking hard at one, that I thought was nice. I wanted leather seats and they were more than accommodating in that respect, that they would install them in my total price. That is where the good comments end. First I asked for a carfax on all three vehicles, including twice on the one that I was getting more serious about. after 4 hours there I effectively saw none of them. The weather was getting bad so, I decided to head home to think about the deal. Thats when the deal really went down hill. I realized that the reason they were so accommodating about the leather seats is because the car was 1) marked up almost 4,000 over the internet price, and 2) the car had been in an accident while it was in their lot. No one felt that the customer needed to know that apparently. Perhaps that is why I couldn't get a copy of a carfax. this piqued my curiosity, and I looked at the other two cars, both had what seemed to be a long list of electrical checks, and engine checks in the past. I would strongly urge anyone buying a used car from here that they be very careful, and make sure you don't get caught up in their over accommodation. If it's too good to be true then it probably isn't true. I took my business closer to my home, and to what I felt was a more "honest" dealership. (Cherry Hill VW) Just like anywhere else be careful.
