WORST experience leasing a vehicle
We recently leased a vehicle through Malouf and were happy with our experience until we realized that two weeks had passed and we never got the check we were owed from our trade-in vehicle. We called the dealership to inquire and were told that the finance person who we had dealt with (and who had promised that our check would be overnight mailed to us and in our hands before that same weekend) was on vacation and we would have to wait until he came back in order to find out what the delay was. We insisted on speaking to someone, and the other finance person we spoke with started yelling at me saying these things "take time" and then proceeded to hang up on me. I will NEVER deal with this dealership again due to this experience and will be sure to let all of my friends and family know to avoid them at all costs.
Better than what I expected.
I hate shopping for a car, who doesn't? But when I went to Malouf GMC I experienced a new way of buying. Instead of being sold something, I was assisted in buying what worked best for me. The salesman, Dom, helped me understand what options were available and I was able to choose exactly what I wanted. Then the manager and finance guy gave me several options on how to pay for my new GMC Terrain! I left with the car, a great deal, and now knowing where I will get my next car too. Malouf should be proud of their employees. Thanks guys! :)
My husband & I brought my new LaCross back for an oil change after 1200 miles. We have friends who are mechanics and recommended an oil change in the first 2000 miles to rid the engine of extra debre from the manufacturing process. Although the dealer mentioned that many people wait for the first 4ooo-5ooo miles, after hearing what mechanics told us, they agreed to do the change at no cost to us. The work was done quickly and we were just a "walk-in" with no appointment.
Dealership cannot be trusted
Certified pre owned GMC 2011 Acadia SLT: compressor, power windows, DVD player broke, dealership cant find certified pre-owned paperwork (resolved). Mechanic broke blinker system when fixing compressor, steering wheel goes to 'manual', Car keeps stalling, cant find issue, alternator blown, battery dead; request trade in, dealership says car depreciated 10K, I lose my down payment, KBB says otherwise. Dealership tries to switch me into 2011 denali compressor goes within 5 min and speaker system doesnt work. Corporate complaint, - go talk to dealership. Manual steering issue back, recall notice arrives in the mail. Car stalls on highway:Service Stabilitrak/Service Traction control/Engine Powering down; throttle body paid $500 out of pocket, powertrain warranty? (reimbursed 3 days later). District Manager says: 'You should have done your research, 2009 - 2012 Acadias have tons of problems'. Really?
Uncaring after sale
Bought a used vehicle and came the next day after the car was cleaned and preped. The salesman handed us the keys and said it was outside and that we should go set up the onstar. When we were done we waited in the show room until the finance manager saw us and told us that we could take the car and go. No one walked us to the car or explained anything about it. No 'good luck' or good bye. Further disappointment when I discovered it had a light out. They told me to bring it to my local dealership to let the light fixed. A little more attention on their part and the light would not be an issue. I now wonder what else they missed on the prep.
It was my second time to have my terrain serviced as part of 2 year free maintenance. Not only did they honor their commitment for the free service but more importantly, Malouf did an excellent service including making you feel to be their very important customer.
I have been taking my cars to the service department at Malouf Buick for several years. They have provided excellent service. They determine the exact cause of a problem and resolve it. I have gotten my cars fixed correctly the first time. Unfortunately, I cannot say this about other auto service departments I have dealt with.
What is the purpose of scheduling an appointment for an oil change if the service is going to take 2 1/2 hours??? That is how long I had to wait for a simple oil change and tire rotation. My appointment was 1:20pm and I didn't leave until close to 3pm. VERY UNHAPPY!!! And this was my 1st service experience with this dealer!
I just leased a 2014 gmc terrain and had a great experience at Malouf Buick. They couldn't have made things any easier. I had shopped around for a while before finding this dealership and they beat everybody on price and ease of transaction. i will be recommending this dealership to friends and family going forward. Today at 5:06 PM I felt Malouf GMC was a little deceptive in their sales practices. We negotiated a final sales price but they failed to disclose to me that a $750 GMC loyalty discount was included in the negotiated sales price till the paper work was drawn up two days later due to Memorial Day holiday. In essence what I thought I was paying I was then paying $750 more. Also, they initially told me I didn't qualify for a credit union membership discount. Then, when I arrived at the dealership to pick up my car they told me I qualified for the discount yet discount never applied to my price (they kept the discount?). I questioned the salesman Mike C but never received a reply from him regarding my concerns. To think of it I was a repeat customer. Definitely, not going back and wouldn't recommend dealership and will bad mouth them to others.
sales personnel needs training in customer relation
We stop to get information about Enclave and started to ask questions and we did not wanted to commit to anything yet and we were not finish talking, the sales person walked away from us. We purchased five vehicles in our life time from this dealer and we never experience this kind treatment. We are looking to purchase pick up truck and car in near future but it will not be from this dealer. Also not very good experience we had in their service department which help us to decide where we will purchase our next vehicles.
