I recently leased a 2014 Buick Encore from Green Brook Buick GMC thanks to the incredible service and professionalism of salesman Michael S. My husband and I went in on Tuesday morning approximately two weeks ago, with the idea of test-driving the Buick Encore along with some other models we were looking into, though we never dreamed we'd be leaving the lot in a brand new vehicle (not that day, anyway). I'd been waiting to purchase or lease a new vehicle for months, and had done a LOT of research on what vehicle I wanted to purchase, narrowing down the field to a Mazda CX-5, a Buick Encore, and a Ford Edge. ***A bit of background info here-- around 2000 I went to Green Brook to lease a new car, but I was extremely young and couldn't afford the payments (still a full-time undergrad student working two part time jobs to cover bills, etc.) The salesman back then, whose name I believe was Jim (??? Not sure, though there is a Jim working there now as well -- I didn't recognize him though!). At such a young age (19 at the time) I was scared to do a test drive -- I barely had my license for two years and the salesman at the time was cool with me driving on Rt 22! I couldn't believe it.*** Though it didn't work out then, that courtesy and professionalism stuck with me as I approached the lot this year. Mike S. informed my husband and I that we came at a great time seeing as the 2014 line was on its way out and they were trying to get them off the lot as soon as possible. We got an AMAZING lease rate (we ultimately decided to lease after sitting with Mike for almost a half hour debating how to go). He told us he'd do whatever he needed to make us happy with walking away, new car keys in hand, and he wasn't kidding. I teach English at the College level, and I'm working on my PhD -- if anyone knows how to "BS" with the best of them, it's ME. I wasn't about to be the shy girl that didn't know what cars were about and I told Mike -- "I know BS, and I'm not BS'ing you when I say I want this car and I like you and I think this will be a great transaction, but I'm just not sure -- I really wanted to test drive a Mazda, maybe even the Ford..." He attempted to find a Ford Edge on the lot that I could try but they didn't have any at the time... He asked me what I would need in order to walk away happy, and after being able to get a 15K lease for the same deal, including the rebates and my lame trade in (my old car was barely worth a grand unfortunately), I signed off on the deal! I could NOT be more pleased with my car. To think, I had literally been looking online the night before and found the 2014 Buick Encore in a deep Espresso color and fell in love with it -- the next day I drove off the lot with it! Again, Mike let me do a test drive, explained all the features, did everything he could to make us happy. Obviously that's his job, but we do not regret the decision we made for one second! When I said, "Maybe I'd like my dad to take a look at this vehicle before I sign the dotted line," Mike said, "Where does your father work?" I said "Newark" to which Mike replied, "I'll put the temp plates on the car and let you drive the car to your father's place of business right now!" I couldn't believe my ears! I wasn't about to take him up on that -- my dad wasn't expecting me, I didn't want to drive through far away from the dealership with a new car that wasn't technically mine yet, etc. The ways this man bent over backwards to please us was beyond belief - we love him! We had to wait in the main lobby area for a bit, surrounded by a Keurig with lots of different coffees, a soda fridge - stocked will full sized beverages, and even a popcorn cart! We watched Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Kids Jeopardy, while some of the other salespeople came in and "played along" with us, guessing aloud the answers. The finance guy, whose name escapes me, was equally as personable as Mike -- we were joking around with him, having conversation, and honestly just having a great time hanging out at the dealership. How many people can say they spent several hours in a dealership and had an awesome time? All in all, a wonderful experience! We look forward to being a member of the Green Brook Buick GMC family for years to come! Thanks again, Mike (and company)!

Don't trust this dealer. Complete Rip off

Don't trust this dealer. will never do business with this dealership or recommend anybody to use them they are a complete rip off. Worst customer service, [non-permissible content removed].I used them to change my 2006 Hummer H2 Limo transmission. They were jumping all over me to get the business when I was still shopping around for best prices saying that they will provide me 100,000 miles or 3 years warranty on parts as well as labor on the new Transmission. As soon as I decides to go with them and towed the limo to them they took off the old transmission out and claimed that they ordered the new Transmission from GM. After two weeks they told me they got the wrong Transmission and have to wait for a new one to come in. One week later they called and said that the car is ready so I went to pick it up and started driving the car that seemed to be not normal but I said may be it takes a little time to be normal and half way home the Transmission stopped shifting and got stuck on the second gear and won't shift and then totally stopped. I called the towing and had to spend $500 to tow it back to them. The next day I called which was Saturday and told Anthony about what happened and his answer was it can't be the transmission because it's brand new. Obviously they didn't even test drive the car after it was fixed because they would known right away that there was something wrong. and he said they can't touch it until Monday because it's too big of car and they don't have the space for it which amazed me because they had all the space for it when they were trying to get my business. Anyway Monday comes no response until Thursday when I had to get really angry on the phone trying to explain that this is a business car and that I lose money everyday it's parked but they didn't seem to care. Next day Anthony calls me saying that the transmission needed to be reprogrammed but the car also needs a transfer case which of course gave me a premium price because he knows that I wouldn't spend more money on towing and I had to say yes. Long story short that transfer case took two week to finish and their excuse always is that the car is too big and hard to work on so it takes them time to do anything on it which also was never the story in the beginning when they wanted to get my business when I was still shopping around. After all done I Paid almost $6000 plus all the towing plus the loss of use for a whole month off business during the busiest time of the year (Christmas Time). less than 4 months after the new transmission and new transfer case replaced and less than a 1000 miles on the limo. The Limo was on the way to pickup clients and all of a sudden smoke started to come from underneath the car so driver stopped right way to find transmission fluid leaking and car won't move. Called the towing and Towed it back to Greenbrook. Two days later they called me and said that its only a hose that for some reason came off and cause Transmission fluid to leak and that it will just need a new clamp change for the hose that takes the Trans fluid from the Transmission to the Trans cooler and a new built that slipped off because of the leak so I said ok please try to finish before Friday because I have scheduled reservations for the limo in the weekend. On Thursday Ricky called and said that the car is ready for pickup and that everything is good to go. So I said can u please test drive the car to make sure everything is good before I come because I have had a bad experience the last time and dont want to get stuck on the road and pay for towing again. So he said they already did but will do again. End of business day on Thursday he calls me back saying that the transmission is acting up and not shifting properly and they will try to reprogram it but if it's the transmission it won't be covered under the warranty and I was like whaaaaat howwwww whyyyyy. The only reason I went with you guys was because of the warranty and you are telling me after spending $6000 and less than 1000 miles On The car u r telling me no warranty he said because they didn't replace that hose that came off and caused the Transmission fluid to leak and transmission to break down and I said you must be kidding me. it is 100% your fault because you must have not connected it back tight after replacing the transmission and that's why it came off. He started to give me BS stories on how its not related to what they did. Anyway he said he is waiting on his boss Lou who was in a meeting to make a decision and get back to me. Of course the next day comes and no answer so I called him again and he said that he didn't find out yet. I took a ride there to see what's going on. Ricky took me into Lou's office who was very rude from the beginning giving me all the BS stories on how a hose that connects right to the transmission they replaced and of course had to disconnect from the old transmission and connect to the new transmission has absolutely nothing to do with the transmission they replaced which got me so aggravated and felt that Im being so ripped off and cheated and called the police who came to do a report and of course will take these [non-permissible content removed] to court. Would never ever do business or recommend anybody to do any kind of business with this dishonest, disrespectful and [non-permissible content removed] at Green Brook Buick GMC.

Every representative we met at the dealership, from the receptionist in front, to Lance, Chris and the "money man" in back, were very professional and sincere. Each detail of the transaction was fully explained and we were satisfied both with the purchase price of our new car and the value we were given on our trade-in. All of our questions were answered completely. The showroom is lovely, the waiting room very clean and well stocked. Overall, it was a real pleasure to do business here.

Better deal elsewhere

Phone call regarding advertised lease special left me frustrated so I stopped in hoping to encounter someone more knowledgeable in person. I was fortunate to meet Franklin who was both very knowledgeable and accommodating. Unfortunately, the dealership could not make the numbers work for me. Their leasing fees were substantially higher than the competition and moreover, I believe they were trying to charge me for the destination charge twice since I was told there was a +/-$900 fee that they "forgot about" which was making the payment I needed too high. I was able to get the deal done effortlessly elsewhere. Other customers I spoke with while waiting voiced frustration as well, sharing that they were back to meet with their 3rd salesperson trying to get their deal done. Very disappointed.

Chad F. is a great sales rep and always is available to offer assistance and answer questions. Laurie F. was very patient with me and answered all my financing/lease questions and explained all my warranty options very clearly. The service dept especially Anthony, Lou, and Franco treat me as a valued customer. They are extremely professional. They explain every repair and always offer the best price. They are gentlemen and clearly strive to offer excellent customer service. The F. family and the gentlemen and ladies in the service dept treat me like family. Great experience with Sales and Finance

Lance M. was great. Our lease was not up for 9 months but he called me up when he saw a win-win deal was available. He had all the numbers ready and had done his homework. My wife left saying if buying a car was always like that it would be a better world. Will come back to Green Brook and to Lance next time without a doubt. I am not sure how it could have been a better experience. We were in the finance office for 15 minutes were given all the info on extended warranty etc...but no hard sell. Very friendly and efficient.

Finance dept. is Dishonest(SEAN)

DO NOT TRUST them especially guy in finance SEAN...THERE IN NEVER SMOKE WITHOUT THE FIRE ! They will put you out market by lying to you saying they can do the deal and will ask for your personal information then they submit to every bank possible without your authorization and that will effect your credit by doing so,even if you get approved but because of dishonesty at the end of the deal you probably will want to take chances somewhere else since they promise to you different payment or rate.But by leaving them you haven't realize yet that if you go anywhere else and they will also submit to any of those banks you will not get approved anymore and will not be able to buy a car for at least next 3-6 month.Reason#1...Banks will look at your credit report and will wonder why haven't you have a car yet and you have been submit to many banks already . Reason#2...when green brook submit your application they know you still shopping after you leave them but they will continue sending your application to more and more banks,so anywhere you go they will be wondering whats going on,that on your credit report so many inquiries to get a loan already. Not even mentioning how they will appraise your trade in 25% less then everyone else.

I have been to this dealer numerous times for warranty service and was very pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated. Did not purchase my vehicle form them, but still treated me like an important customer. Am starting to think my 2005 GMC is getting a little worn, and may be looking for a new vehicle soon. Having a hard time thinking about not buying one of their brands because I really am happy with having them work on my vehicle, they may still have a little BS in their talk, but that might just be what I inherently believe everyone in the auto industry has.

Bad Experience with this dealer

I am writing to let you know that this is my second very unpleasant visit at your dealership. I did the service on my Pontiac G6 last Saturday, Aug 1st. The service guy recommended me the 18,000 mile service and showed me the book says that it includes oil change, tire rotation, and air filer, and etc, and I went for it. However, when I picked up my car and drove home, I found that there is no air filter changed on the summary sheet the dealer give me. I called, the guy first told me there were two books in front of him and none of them says there is an air filter change included in the 18,000 mile service! Then I pointed out the page and which line says air filter is included in this service from that service book. Then, the guy hold me for a few second, and without any "Sorry", told me they did forget the air filter change!! I was first impressed by his ignorance about the services they provided and then shocked by his no intendancy to apologize at all! He asked me to drive back to your dealer and said it is ONLY 10 min drive from my home (Piscataway) to you, sounds like it is not a big deal or not a big trouble for me at all. Moreover, this kind of unprofessional experience I encountered at your dealership is not the first time! About a year ago, I went to your dealer because one of my tires had low tire pressure. On my first visit, your guy told me they couldn't diagnose the problem and suggest me to go to a tire professional to fix the problem. (Have you ever heard of this kind of joke? Where else could be more professional to fix the Pontiac problem beside the Pontiac dealer?) A few hours later, the resetted tire pressure went low again, unsurprisingly. I did go to STS and they suggest me to go back to your dealer again. And on my second visit at your dealer, you did find a nail underneath the tire. What an unprofessional auto shop that cannot even diagnose the low tire pressure problem only because of a nail! Ever since I moved to NJ, I selected and trust your dealership as my first choice to maintain my Pontiac G6, 2007. However, after these two years experiences, I am kind of disappointed and thinking about change to another dealership. Thank you for providing me this opportunity to express my dissatisfaction.
