no service after sale
After the purchase,the sales staff and finance dept.are wonderful,we were to be reimburse for overpayment of title etc.fees but never were.The amount is only 270.00 but its the idea of the dealership never returning calls or following through with promises.The vehicle also has a few minor problems that should have been found and taken care of through their "thorough"certified pre owned inspection program.Three months later and calls to Acura corporate have still not taken care of the situation.At this point I can not recommend and will not purchase another Acura vehicle because of NO service after the sale.

My husband and I were looking into many Acura dealerships. We made our decision to go with an Acura MDX based on Acura's reliability plus we loved everything about the MDX. Pete Spiro (Acura of Denville salesman) was the BEST at communication and would go above and beyond to satisfy us. They beat any other dealer regarding our trade ins and price (just like they promised). We weren't easy to deal with at times since we had very specific wants and needs. Other acura dealers in the area wouldn't return phone calls, wouldn't negotiate, treated us as if we were bothering them or wasting their time. I've purchased several cars at dealerships in the past and Acura of Denville, by far, was the best experience. Pete was so personable and down to earth it was easy working with him. We love Acura and after this experience we are a customer for life at Denville! They truly showed us great customer service and we won't go anywhere else! Was looking for a specific Used TL. Found it at Acura of Denville. I live in Upstate NY about 1 1 1/2 hours away. I was able to get all the info I needed before coming in, Gregg was able to work with me via e-mail and phone. When I got there the car was ready and looked great! The whole process was smooth and flawless.

Acura of Denville was referred to me by a co-worker. I wasn't even sure if I wanted an Acura, but after comparing various models, I knew exactly what I wanted. The sales person (Frankie) pointed me in the right direction, and I feel got me the best possible deal he could on my vehicle. Stay Away From Acura Of Denville
As the person said, the second you sign the for the car and drive it off the lot, they dont care about you. The only thing they care about is stealing your money. Bought an Acura TL from this [non-permissible content removed] and it had a recalled transmission. There were other recalls with this TL, they made me wait 4 weeks for an appointment only for them to call me up a 1/2 hour later and lie saying they couldnt find anything wrong. Made another appointment, they made me wait another 3 weeks and the same BS. They did this 2 more times, until I just took it to Ramsey of Denville, and Ramsey found the problem in the first shot. We called Honda on Acura of Denville for trying to bill Honda for hours of reported labor they never did. But all the negatives you see about Acura of Denville are absolutely true!
DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER YOUR PURCHASE
I recently bought a 2013 Acura which was a smooth process but when I went to renew my registration (had it transferred from last car) that is when all of the problems began. I received my paperwork for renewing the paperwork from the DMV and I was being charged double of what it should have been. Upon further investigating with the DMV it turns out Acura of Denville (Jackie) filed my paperwork wrong and put down the wrong weight class on the title. The DMV advised me to call Acura of Denville to have this sorted out due to financing the car and not having a copy of the title. I called and spoke with Michael in finance who was very unhelpful and claimed he had no idea what to do but would forward over all of my information and have Jackie call me back to sort out this situation. After several days of not hearing back from Jackie i called and left 2 voicemail's on her extension. Still no call back after a week so I called and asked for the General Manager (Steve) and left a voicemail. AGAIN no call back from him either. I tried calling again and spoke with Frankie (salesman) this time who promised to help me out and call me back as soon as he had an answer on what to do. AGAIN never received a call back..... I WILL NEVER BUY A CAR OR REFER ANYONE TO THIS DEALERSHIP EVER AGAIN. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THE PURCHASE.

Over the years, I've bought 7 cars from this dealer, and found them to be very pleasant to deal with. No pressure, very helpful, courteous, and they deliver on what they promise. I would sincerely recommend them to anyone.
Get ready to be disappointed
They will show you a number that will make you go for it. After you make all the arrangements, sign the order, give your deposit and walk in the dealership with the check in your hand to execute the deal, they decide that they want to change the terms of the deal. Try your luck somewhere else. Don't waste your time, like I did with them.

We're on our 3rd MDX with Acura of Denville. They have always gone out of their way to do things in a pressure-free environment. I've always appreciated that and it's why we continue to purchase vehicles from them. THE MDX is absolutely incredible on its own, but the people at Denville made the buying of it a great experience. Excellent Acura Dealer
I recently purchased a 2012 Acura TL with tech. package from Denville Acura. The entire sales process was great and Holley Hagerty, the Internet Sales Manager, was excellent to work with. Although this dealer is out of my local area it was worth the time and the trip to purchase my new car from them. I plan on considering them in the future for all my Acura needs.
Vistied hte dealer and agreed to buy a 2008 Acura RL with Collision Damage Mitigation System. They did not have any in stock but told me there were 3 that they could get from other dealers and it should not be a problem. We signed a contract and I gave them the requested deposit of $1000. After 2 weeks of only one or two messages in response to my phone calls asking for a status I was told they could not arrange a trade. They offered another car without the CDMS package but the pricing was not as good so I told them I was not interested and requested a return of my deposit. It was then that I got furious since I was told it will take 1 month to process my refund. No explanation was given as to why it would take 1 month to process a refund since it took 2 minutes to accept my refund. The deposit was made on a credit card so there was not an issue of check clearance. This handling of taking a deposit on a contract for a vehicle that eventually could not be delivered at no fault of mine and delaying my refund for 30 days caused this dealer to lose any chance of future business with them. Since I have found the CDMS package is not available anywhere, I will buy the car with the Technology package, but not from this dealer. Not trustwothy
I leased a new 2008 Acura TL/nav from Denville in December, 2007. I dealt with Peter Spiro, a long-time salesman there. He allowed me many test drives of the TL, RL and others over many months, usually on my own; this really helped me choose the right car for me. When we sat down to deal on my TL, he was easy to deal with and quick. I had done my research and knew the deal I wanted. and opened making him an offer based on the Acura advertised base TL lease deal - he countered reasonably, and made a decent offer on my used RL trade (for which I received a check). He had my color combination in stock, so we just needed a few days for prep and delivery. I negotiated to pay the down money by credit card, important to me for a special air ticket promotion, but the finance guy wouldn't honor that. Later I complained, and Peter straightened that out OK. The finance guy was not great to deal with. Overall, a reasonable deal, as good or better than some other dealers in the area, and Peter was a pleasure to deal with.
To be avoided!!! I bought a new 2004 Acural TL from Denville Acura. I would rate my experience as bad due to the following incidents. - I was given a specific VIN number just a couple of days before the delivery of the vehicle and I did get the insurance, etc. when it was the day to pickup the car the sales guy told me that they made a mistake and prepped the wrong car but it was not a problem since it was the same exact specification expect it was a different VIN number. Not having any experience with the VIN stuff I didn't see much of a problem with this. Once I picked up the car and realized that the car I got from them has a VIN number like xxxxxx000240 as oppose to the one that was originally settled on which has a lot higher number. Upon further research I found out that these low VIN numbers are bad news due to the fact that, they are the initial releases of the model where number of problems are still not addressed on them as oppose to a later ones where based on the information from the earlier release, problems identified and fixed. When I went to the dealership to pickup my car I noticed that it was really dirty covered with dust and grime like it was sitting at the lot for months. When I complained about it they did a basic wiped down but it was quite annoying. Once I understood what they pulled with the VIN number the whole thing made sense but it was too late. Short of it, avoid it they are dishonest and will pull a quick switcheroo on you if yopu don't know the ins and outs.
