Techa don't know what they're doing

Dear Mr. McDevitt (General Manager), I am writing to express my utmost disgust with my last two experiences with your service department. I write this letter as I'm sitting stranded on the Belt Parkway for an issue I brought my vehicle in to your dealership for not even a week ago. On July 21, 2022, I brought my truck in for an electrical system fault. I explained to the service advisor that there was a prior oil leak that had dripped onto the alternator, and that I believed the alternator needed to be replaced. I also stated that I had checked the charging system and it was registering approximately 12.5 volts while running, far below the requisite voltage. The service techs at your location checked the vehicle and stated only a software update was required. The update was done and the vehicle was returned to me. Again, I reiterate, I am writing this as I sit stranded on the Belt Parkway waiting for a tow truck to take to me a service location not named Land Rover Glen Cove. I also would like to convey that my previous experience at your dealership was for the same oil leak mentioned above. Your techs diagnosed a coolant line leak even though I stated that oil was leaking, onto the alternator nonetheless. After your techs changed the coolant line, I was again sent on my way only to have the same oil leak a couple days later. This issue was properly diagnosed as a valve cover leak by another dealership and repaired correctly.

My initial experience with the service department was a negative one. An employee from this dealership later on reached out to me. I was able to speak with the manager of the service department, who helped straighten out the situation.

Everyone is always professional and friendly. Stacy is amazing when you first pull up to get your car serviced. Fitzgerald was my sales personnel. He was professional, knowledgable and patient while I decided on my purchase. Great overall service.

Friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable staff. Paul Karekinian is the go-to guy and he looks out for his customers. Chief technician Ray Vecchione patiently listened to my concerns and came out for a ride in the car to identify issues I had.

I value the technical knowledge of the service staff; when you ask them a question, you get an intelligent answer. Appreciate the coupons received through email and having a high quality loaner car.
