Stay away

onIf I were to give the sales experience a rating it would be over the one star. However, once I received my BRAND NEW RR Defender, things quickly went south. Not only is there an issue with the panoramic window producing a leak, there was also a portion of the cargo cover missing. Please note that the leak is directly above our 1 year old's seat. You would think that there would be an urgency to get the car in and fixed. Nope, solution - crash tape given to us by our local dealer while we wait 4 weeks and one scheduled cancellation 2 days before it was going in. After spending a considerable amount on the vehicle and being a first time customer, you would think the GM would at least attempt a call. Nope, an email from yours truly did the trick. And you would think that Dawn would come in with a soft approach looking to do whatever is in her power to make it right. Wrong again, she basically told me that I should have understood that my truck could have issues and that to just basically wear it. She would not be my first choice for GM of the year. Joe is great though, but I would steer clear from this place or Land Rover in general. Go to Mercedes or any other high end brand that cares about the customer and their happiness.

Get Your New Car Elsewhere!

onLeased me a car that did not have the features I requested at the time of the order. The Sales staff, Joe Heppler, was ignorant of the RR Sport New Features and Packages. Sales Manager John Laguerre was condescending and curt, not particularly helpful. As a result, I am suiung for dissolution of the lease contract. As a matter of interest, Manhattan Land Rover was on top of the changes between 2018 and 2019 models and prevented their customers from this mishap.

Poor Sales Clerk

onI just returned my Range Rover after 3 plus years. From the start its been excellent service. I was sad to return my Range. However, as we began the process for the return or seeking to lease another Land Rover vehicle Danny Cruz never offered any of the deals available online ( after a few email attempts- our choice was to have leased another vehicle from Land Rover) or made any effort to offer us currently offered sales. On the day due to returned the car Mr Cruz greeted us rudely. As he inspected the car (by the way we told him we'd be dropping off the car and he never gave us any instructions on what needed to be done-) said to us " too bad because now you can't get back into another Range Rover" followed by " you know, these cars are expensive and aren't for everybody" He was rude, snide and not all representative of the experience we had for 3 years. We tried to make small talk and told him the car was very well taken car of and it was a sweet ride. His response to us, "its just a car- its no big deal . What a wonderful thing to hear from a sales clerk. He never followed up with us to let us know if the car was purchased by Land Rover. Three weeks later my husband had to email him to follow up with him. His email included two sentences- no greeting... not a single inkling of manners demonstrated. What a disservice this clerk does to the Land Rover family! He was rude to my kids when my kids brought up the car we had leased to us- not even to him- but to us and he felt it necessary to add his commentary. After being treated like I was asking for handout what a welcoming experience to walk across the street to Volvo and be treated with respect and dignity. I think Danny Cruz was right.... we may not have another chance to get another Land Rover vehicle because after dealing with him we would never want to!

Five Star Expierience

onI just purchased a 2016 Range Rover Autobiography from Land Rover Glen Cove. The staff was amazing, very friendly and everyone went beyond what they needed to do to make sure i was happy. Starting with my sales agent Richalin who was able to help secure a great deal and guide me through the entire process from the second i walked till i pulled away. The finance manager Brian and the general manger John were great by securing me a great finance rate and making sure all my needs were met. Liz was great about explaining everything in the truck and teaching me anything i didn't know. The staff at Land Rover Glen Cove truly represent Range Rover and made this car buying experience something that was fun and very enjoyable. I will certainly being buying another truck from them.

Was sold a new car that had been crashed...

onPurchased an Evoque that was sold to me as new (it had been a service loaner, I knew it had 1,000 miles on it) two years ago. The sales people were nice and overall it went really well...or so I thought. Fast forward forward and a couple weeks ago and I tried to trade the car in. I was told by a different dealer that the car had been in a major accident and was worth $5,000 less than it normally would be. I had never been in an accident with it but come to find the car had been in a major accident when it was a loaner car. I called Land Rover Glen Cove in hopes that they would rectify this and long story short they most certainly did not. They tried to ignore me, they didn't return emails and phone calls. After a week of trying and several calls the dealer finally made me a trade in offer... for less than the lowest trade in valuation on KBB. I got the General Manager on the phone and she never apologized, she said the original sales person probably never knew about the accident which is laughable. She only offered an additional $500 to match the absolute lowest trade in valuation, still $2,500 less than what the car is worth on KBB and $3,000 less what I owe on it. Honestly if they would just have given me a fair trade in, at this point I would accept it, let alone actually do the right thing by a customer whom they sold a new car that had been crashed. I'm sure most people at the dealer are good people but I just got treated like a number, a profit margin and not a real person, let alone how anyone would expect to be treated at a luxury car dealer. I've had better experiences at Honda. I really liked my car but I'm sad to say that this ruins me from ever purchasing a Range Rover again (let alone Land Rover Glen Cove), since this is how they treat their customers.

RR GLEN COVE

onBefore coming to Glen Cove, I visited Huntington first; however, I had THE worst experience with the manager over there and I was scared that Glen Cove was going to be the same. Luckily, Glen Cove wasn't like Huntington at all. Charles took excellent care of me and my family and was exceptionally accommodating. His business manager was also very easygoing and I probably had THE easiest and fastest experience at a car dealership. Thank you, Glen Cove RR.

onI visited this dealership when I was ready to lease a 2016 LR4. I am familiar with the dealership because I have quite a few vehicles from this same dealership. I was referred to Fitzroy Stewart, since my previous sales guide was no longer at the location. He was only concerned about how he could get a larger commission. Whenever I questioned his tactics, he would try to give an unfathomable excuse, which never seem to be reasonable. If you go to this dealership, do not deal with Fitzroy Stewart!
