DO not shop at this dealership. They scam people.

byfrenchy94on 07/04/2017

I just purchased a 2010 Ford F-150 65,000 miles for 19500+ dealership cost. The main reason I ended up buying the truck was for the remote start and the power mirrors. the sales person sltold ne that it had power mirrors and remote start. But when I used the power mirrors it didn't work he told me that they could fix the power mirror no problem and told me that they had the remote start fob inside. Before I went into the financial office, he wrote that they would fix the mirrors and he had me sign it. He than told me that he would grab the fob while I was in the office doing finance paperwork. I signed the purchase agreement and went to his office for the fob. He told me that he could not find it and would get back to me and that I could drop the truck off at the end of the week for the passengers mirror to get fix. It took about a week for them to look at the truck. So I went to pick up the truck, when I got there he told me that the mirror wasn't powered and he was going to contact the prior owner for the fob. I left confused on why there would be one mirror powered and not the other. I contacted him throughout a week about the fob, he told me that he couldn't get ahold of the prior owner, so I ended up telling him to keep trying and I would call back. I ended up going through the trucks manual and found a old service record from the prior owner, so I called the number and he ended up answering right away. I told him my story and he told me that the mirrors are powered and came off a 2013 Ford F-150, I also asked about the key fob and he told me he had given it to the dealership. He ended up telling me he sold that truck to the dealership for 12,000 and that he hadn't received any calls about the fob from the dealership . So with the info I called the dealership to ask them about the issues. I was told that they hadn't even tryed to call the prior owner. They also told me that they would not be able to fix the power passenger mirror because technically at the time the mirror wasn't powered (because the mirror was broken). And that the key fob wasn't in there possession so they couldn't help me.

Chauncey the man

byDalba31on 11/03/2016

I been in Omaha for awhile now and finally decided to get a car (after living in NYC for awhile, and taking ubers all over town) My friend took me to Baxter Ford where I was helped by Chauncey. I must say this guy really knows what he's talking about.…I got to see a few different models and tested out one of their cars. Chauncey definitely may this first time car potential buyer feel knowledgeable and well informed of what car would be best for me. I recommend asking for him if you ever stop by Baxter Ford South! He's the definition of customer service.

Good place to buy vehicle

byBmlkel0722on 09/28/2015

I just bought my new truck from Performance ford/ Baxter ford this week. Love the truck, great deal and the salesman Sean Thies is a great guy, easy to work with and is straight forward no BS. Had a couple minor problems in finance but they were addressed and were corrected so I have nothing but good things to say about my experience!

3rd Ford Purchase, 3rd Problem Purchase

bydpchristieon 08/24/2015

I have had the worst luck at this dealership. I will summarize briefly the first two experiences, and then finish with the current experience, which is still going on, even today. 1. Bought a new 2012 Focus for my son back in 2012. When they were cleaning it up, they dropped the garage door on the roof, had to keep the car two weeks to do body work on a brand new car. 2. Bought wife a 2014 Escape last summer. She asked for certain features (Sunroof, rear hatch foot open). They matched the color, not the features and had to quick find the right car, luckily, it was local. 3. End of July I purchased a 2016 Fusion Hybrid. This experience has been a comedy of errors. It would be almost comical if it wasn't so frustrating. It began we them providing a window sticker of what I wanted based on the specs I printed off the Ford build tool. I wanted a different color, so they found me a silver one 300 miles away. I looked it over, saw that it didn't have NAV, which I wanted. They found same color, with NAV, but no sunroof, it was 282 miles away. I said I didn't care about sunroof, and I would take it. (NOTE: They had me sign the window sticker) Negotiations started. I was trading off a 2013 F250. During negotiations I specifically asked many times for the following figures. 1) the price of the car they are selling me after discounts, 2) the amount of the trade-in, 3), the rate of the loan, and then the monthly payment. They kept coming back with just a monthly payment, and maybe one other number, but never would provide the information I asked. They just kept playing the numbers game (which is deceptive). After going back and forth, we finally got to what I thought was reasonable (again, based off the monthly payment). My wife wasn't with me, so they had me fill out my paperwork, they took the truck, gave me a loaner and said the car would be there by Tuesday, and ready Wednesday (it was Saturday). When signing the paperwork, I finally notice that the rate on the loan was 4.74%, way higher than it should have been for our credit rating, for the number of cars we purchased from them, and based on current rates. At this point, I "assumed" the loan was through Ford Credit, and I was not told otherwise. I heard nothing from the dealership until I called on Wednesday to see if my car had arrived as promised. I got a callback later in the day, that their employee would leave the next morning to get the car, and that it wouldn't be ready until Friday. Friday arrives. I show up to pick up the car. My wife signs the papers. We walk out, I see a Shiny silver Ford Fusion, with the window tint I ordered, as well as the new car protection package. It looked amazing. Then my wife notices the sunroof. I looked; sunroof and no NAV. It was the wrong car. Salesman asked "How do you like your new car",. I reply, its the wrong car. They proceed to compare the VIN to the window sticker I signed (the same VIN on all the paperwork) didn't match. The guy had picked up the first car they found, at the wrong dealership. Didn't compare VINs there, or when they got back, or when they did all the after market additions... Poor quality control. Of course they felt bad. They said they would make it right, and get the right car up there, told me to take the loaner again, and they would call me with a status the next day (Saturday). Well, no call came, no call on Monday. I finally called Monday afternoon. Was told they were making arrangements and would call me back when they left for the car. I said ok, that I was leaving town Friday, so wanted it before then. Again, no calls... no updates, no apology calls from management.. nothing. I call on Wednesday, get a call back in the afternoon. Once again, guy would leave Thursday morning to get the car, and it would be ready Friday. Well, I would be out of town on Friday, so now I would have to wait until Monday. Salesman says he will bring the car to me on Monday. While gone, I get another email saying to let them know when I wanted to pick the car up on Monday. I reminded them that they had said they would bring the car to me, he agreed... again. Monday comes, and the salesman arrives at my home with the car. It is the right VIN this time, but it doesn't look right. When doing all the after market items I ordered, they forgot to tint the windows. Salesman says that the dealership knows many mistakes were made and that they wouldn't get a good survey, asked what they could do to make it right. At this point I am so frustrated I don't even know what to think. I mentioned looking into some service credit or something. Sales man said he would check on it and get back to me. Next day, 3rd party contractor comes and picks up the car, takes it to their shop, tints the windows and brings it back. Kudos to Autographix, they did everything right, and were extremely polite and friendly. A week goes by I still haven't heard back on anything that the dealership might do for me. So I send the sales guy an email. I get a response back saying that they are willing to give me 3 years of oil changes, but only if I agree to just skip the survey if I cannot give a perfect score. He also asks if I need a call from management. At this point, what good would a call do? I reluctantly agree to skip the submission of a survey, so as to not hurt their dealership, or the salesman's numbers. Now we come to today (Aug 24th). So far I have not received any loan information from Ford Credit, and I have not heard anything from the DMV that they have the paperwork and I can come get plates. My In-Transit stickers expire in two days (the 26th). I first emailed the sales guy, he said Alicia would look into it and call me back, I never heard from her. I finally called and asked for the finance guy (around 3PM or so) and he said he would check into it and call me back. I finally got a call back after 8pm. He states that the dealership 282 miles away would need to send the info to the DMV so I could get my plates. He offered to write a letter stating it was their fault should I have to pay late fees. I mentioned that there is also a possibility of me being pulled over for expired in-transits. He said he would check further in the morning. At this time I also stated that I have yet to hear anything from Ford Credit about the loan, and that the payment was due Sept 8th according to my paperwork. He then looked up something and stated that my loan was actually through SAC Federal Credit Union. This was the first I have heard of this, and it was no where on my paperwork, and I had been watching the mail for something from Ford. I could have gotten something from the other bank, thought it was junkmail, and threw it away. He said he didn't think I would have received anything yet, and would check on that as well. So wrong cars, ignored negotiation requests, not a great deal really (I should have gotten more for my truck), rate not disclosed initially, and bank not disclosed at all. And I could get pulled over for expired in-transits. I can't say don't shop here, but check and double check everything. Countless mistakes, and did nothing on their own to make anything right.

Good Experience

I just bought a new Fusion from Performance Ford. They were very willing to help and answer all questions I had during the process. I worked with Ed Schlegel and he helped find the options I was looking for in our new Fusion and gave us a great deal.

Wonderful experience

bymargie19on 11/18/2014

I broke a part of my driver's side mirror and went to the Service Department to get an estimate. Pat worked really hard to find the most cost-effective option and he saved me $100! They did the work in the time promised and kept the car clean too!

My entire experience with Performance Ford was amazing!! I felt very welcome, did not feel pressure to buy, and was fully informed throughout the entire process. Kate and the rest of the team were so friendly. They really worked hard for me instead of me working for them. They really understood that my time was valuable. I highly recommend Kate!!

Love to play games

byschnerkeyon 08/27/2014

Unless you have several hours to waste with the back and fourth games do not go near Baxter Ford. Even told them had one chance to get me their best price and if I liked it I would buy right then they came back at full advertised price. When we started to walk they then attempted to negotiate and came up with numerous reasons we should stay and haggle. We left as the salesman and the sales manager chased us across the parking lot. Their loss.

Poor Post Sales Customer Service

byclarkmton 05/30/2013

The haggling process sucked. It took almost 3 weeks to work a deal. They only had one key for the vehicle so I had to buy a new key and fob right off the bat ($90+). They lost the two wireless headsets for the DVD player from the time between we test drove and purchased the vehicle. I've sent multiple emails and left multiple voicemails to find out where they went, but they won't answer. Definitely wont go to this dealer for a vehicle again.

Friendly staff, nice facility, horrible experience.

bySYR_Kyleon 11/30/2012

My experience there started out great. I was looking for a used car for my stepson who was just in a bad car accident. My salesmen Kenny was polite and easy to deal with the entire time. His customer skills were very good and he wasn't ever pushy. There was a car that was recently reduced and advertised on the web site for $5997, a price drop from $9,000. This was right in our zone. But that's when things started to get more shady by the hour. I was told they made a mistake and weren't supposed to drop the price that low. They said they'd honor the price but couldn't go any lower and they had to tack on the delivery fee. They eventually dropped the delivery fee after we started discussing the potential issues with the car that needed to be fixed which I thought were minor at first. The dash display had an error code on it, which they said was just a simple code that needed to be entered in to activate the stereo. The other issue i asked for them to fix was the brake light in the back which they described as "oh that's just a quick light bulb replacement". They gave me an estimate of how much that would cost to fix in shop. After stating that me as the customer shouldn't have to pay lots of $ to have a car work like its supposed to, they came around. They also said they'd go over a list with me of everything they found wrong with the car to be "up front" with me so that I knew what may need attention ( I realize used cars aren't supposed to be perfect) . So I agreed with them on a deal that would fix the code on the dash, and fix the break light in the back so that the car would be as safe as possible for my son. I signed off on the SHORT list of issues they presented me. I would return in about 3-4 hours to pick up the car. I returned 3-4 hours later (to give them time to make these "quick" fixes as they said they were). Before I got in the car when i returned Kenny had me come in and sign off on another list that was LONGER. I was presented the list in a manner that suggested that this was the total list of issues, many of which had already been fixed by them but that I needed to sign off on it. I thought that was nice of them to tell me everything they fixed, along with a few minor things that might need attention. I get in the car to deliver it to my step son and .... the error code still on the dash, and then no brake light in the back. I went back into the dealership and told him, of which he said they were setting up an appointment to get it resolved (the same thing they just told me hours before was an easy slam dunk). Here I sit 24 hours later with NO news on anything. Now the car is starting to show signs of serious trouble. Here I sit with a copy of the final LONG list of issues, and the 'original' SHORT list of issues that we signed before the agreement, isn't in my possession. I have emailed and called today and am still waiting responses. When someone (dealership/salesmen) talks to you about how they have kids, and how they know you want to keep them safe, and then turns around and sells you a car in a manor that im sure they would never allow for their own children, is very disappointing. I really thought they valued me as a return customer who uses their service department regularly. We had a great vehicle a week ago that got totaled by another driver hitting my stepson, now we have a lemon that is leaking, dying while in park, and getting more shady by the hour, and now we have no $ to even think about repairing the car to the extent it may need. I wanted a simple break light to work so that my son would be less likely to get rear ended like he did in the accident that totaled his car. Apparently the safety of my stepson isn't important enough to them to do this. I just wish they would have told me that to begin with instead of being misleading. I will update/remove this review if something should happen to change. I had come to expect the same great service I experienced at Performance Chrysler (Baxter) a month earlier when I bought a new vehicle there. I also thought that being a regular customer to their service department with my Ford would mean something. I thought I was a valued customer. Guess not :(
