DO NOT BUY FROM FOREST LAKE CHRYSLER!
DO NOT BUY FROM FOREST LAKE CHRYSLER! Absolute worst customer service and buying experience ever!!! We purchased our Jeep the end of June which was contingent on a hitch being installed and the paint on the hood being repaired, which was bubbling. The sales manager, Randy Trochman, included on the due bill that if warranty would not cover it Forest Lake Auto Group would. Photo's were taken at the time of purchase to file the claim. Moving onto the finance department we turned down the extended warranty at which time the rep laughed and then replied saying that I "Seem" like an intelligent person and to reconsider. He pushed and pushed until I finally said that if he pushed one more time we would walk away. He then went on to tell my wife how ridiculous it is that we worked a hitch into the deal and that "It's guys like your husband that seem to think it's acceptable to make deals on the car lot. You should know that we literally loose money on every sale here." That became believable after it took 6 weeks for our bank to receive the payoff on our trade in. Finance assured us that the check had been overnighted but they would cancel it and send another. Our bank on the other hand informed us this situation was common for that specific dealership. We ended up paying in an additional $50 in fees which Forest Lake did not reimburse us on. Finally, they were able to schedule us for service in late July to complete the due bill. Upon arriving in service they informed me that the paint was not going to be repaired but they were going to take photo's and submit to warranty. I explained this had already been done but to just go ahead and keep the vehicle until they figured it out and the repairs were completed; we do live 1.5 hours away. The end of the week I received a phone call that all the work was complete and to pick up the vehicle. For extra verification purposes I requested confirmation that the paint on the hood was completed and was told with confidence that it had. Of course when we picked up the vehicle the next day that was not the case. After asking for a manager to speak with, no one was available and I was told to call or come back later. Call after call, message after message, we got no response. Finally in early August I was able to talk to Tamir the GM, who assured me the matter would be resolved quickly. In fact, we could have it painted at a shop near us and they would simply cover the bill. Of course, he needed to check on the claim first and would have the sales manager get in touch with me to coordinate the final resolution. Later that day Randy calls to tell me he's waiting on the claim response but regardless will have a solution figured out in no time. Days turn into weeks and weeks into months. In the meantime I've called and left messages on his voicemail and with the receptionist with no response. It is now the end of September when he calls me back telling me that he "Doesn't ever check his voicemail because, well . . . he's just too busy." However, in regards to the paint, he was going to check with his service manager for an update on that claim. Randy calls me back the following day with no news. Now it's early October and I leave another voicemail for the GM expressing my frustration and hoping can provide the solution he promised. With no returned call, I am then passed along to Myron Weiden who calls and yet again assures me that either warranty is going to cover this or they'll have it painted at a local shop at their expense. But first, needed to check on the warranty claim with service. Days go by when I finally receive a Text Message from Myron saying that after all this time no photo's had ever been taken and that no claim had ever been filled. Completely baffled, I called to discuss what had happened and what our options were moving forward. Myron's response was that "Forest Lake Auto Group owes me nothing and that I should go to another dealership." So I did. The claim was submitted, approved and schedule the very same day through a different dealership in St. Cloud, MN. Do not do business with the Forest Lake Auto Group. Find a dealership who appreciates your business and will take care of you when you need it.
Awesome aCustomer Experience!
I just purchased a beautiful 2016 Plum Crazy Challenger from Art Hancock at Forest Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram. I had such a great experience working with them. I was in process of deciding between getting another Mini Cooper or going with the Challenger. The 2 Mini dealerships I was working with were not helpful in finding a vehicle that met my needs. Mini was not good at getting back to me or giving me a competitive offer to keep me as a customer. Meanwhile, Art at Forest Lake Dodge dealership was texting me, calling me, emailing me - getting back to me answering all my questions. Art and his team gave me a great offer with options that met my financial needs but allowed me to get the car that I wanted. I will definitely be recommending Art and the Forest Lake Dodge dealership to all my family and friends. They treated me like I was their most important customer. Thanks so much Art and Forest Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram for your awesome customer service! I'm loving my new car!
