Bad experience!

We had bought a car for our son from this car dealer back in 2014 and our experience was excellent so we decided to give them our business again on June 25th, 2018. We dealt with Mike Anderson who has excellent customer skills and not pushy at all, actually he should be the manager, maybe they would keep customers! Mike Anderson ends up being the shining star in this whole experience! We test drove a car, we knew exactly what car we wanted, I had done my research, I had even prepared ahead of time by getting a certified check from our bank made out to Glassman Automotive Group, (that's how good of an experience we had before) just in case we would be able to come to a deal, I also went on Truecar.com to get a price beforehand and Michael Glassman emailed me back with a TruePrice that looked pretty good to us. We had an older Mustang Convertible to possibly trade in, the Used Car salesman, Anthony Boone, took our car and appraised it, we sat down with our sales guy, Mike Anderson, he had received the appraisal from Michael Glassman, who is 1 of the sons of Mr. Glassman and also a manager. We started the deal, Michael Anderson took the paperwork over to Michael Glassman, who proceeded to give us an OTD (out the door price) we shook hands on it, we were ready to close the deal, then Michael Glassman walked over to the desk where we were sitting and apologized that he had made a mistake about the amount of our appraised car amount, that instead of $3000.00 it was really only worth $300.00, he said that he, was looking at the wrong car appraisal report (okay, so mistakes happen) and then he said that he would work up a different amount, without our trade in and that it would be an excellent price and that they would hardly be making anything. Then he presented the amount and I negotiated like $400.00 less and then Michael Glassman accepted and we thought that it was a done deal only, then it dawned on us that we would need a whole other plate so we stated that fact ($160.00) and felt that because of the mix up from $3000.00 to $300,00, although a mistake, was not our fault and if they covered the amount of our plate, $160.00 that we would complete the deal, Michael Glassman said absolutely not, we were in utter disbelief! Even our sales guy offered to split the difference with us to make the deal happen but, at that point, it was all about the principal of the situation and, we had been there almost 3 hrs We thanked our sales guy for his kindness and apologized that he wasn't getting a commission and walked out the door, we were just getting into our car when Anthony Boone, a used sales mgr., who appraised our car came out and approached our car and he asked if he could make it right, we said, if you want to throw in the new plate cost of $160.00, without the trade in car, for the amt. that Michael Glassman had last given to us as the OTD price, minus the new plate cost, yes, we can salvage this deal, Anthony Boone said, how about this, I will give you $300.00 plus the new plate if you include the trade in, we were like, wait, then we would not need the plate! He said, okay $400.00, and we said at this point, you guys are not getting the trade in anymore and OTD price, that Michael Glassman presented with less $160.00 would be the only deal we would agree to, he went in and we presumed that he spoke with Michael Glassman, who stayed in the building until that point, then Michael Glassman came out and said no deal. We left. To say that we felt very disrespected would be an understatement! We have never, ever been treated so poorly! We will never do business with Kia Glassman Automotive Group again! Wait, there's more... to top if off, 2 days later, Anthony Boone sent an email to us offering for us to come in and test drive the very same car that we were trying to buy! Unbelievable!! If you decide to do business with this place, good luck!! **We ended up at Village Ford in Dearborn, MI., we bought a 2018 Escape from Joseph Celentino, and he was so kind, as was everyone that worked there!! A very happy ending for us because Village Ford in Dearborn, MI. really knows how to treat their customers!!

Not a good experience

Not a good experience. Came in to test drive a vehicle with the entire family but the dealer refused to let me try out the car with the car seats in and demanded to be present during the test drive. We walked away and went to the different dealership in Novi which was much more accommodating and easier to deal with.

My car was totaled while I was inside church service and when I went to remove my belongs I was met at the door by Mike who did not know whey I was at the body shop. When I told him what happened he called George Glassman and from then on my issues were minimized Mr. George Glassman and Mr. Micheal Glassman introduced me to Ethan Cantor who walked me thru the process of purchasing a new vehicle. Everyone was very professional and committed to me. Thank all of you! I am satisfied and will continue to be a good and loyal customer!

Rude Receptionist

Please put people on the phone competent enough to understand that if they do not like people the should work in a cubicle without human interaction. Acknowledgment and accountability are important Crucial factors when handling customer service. So when I asked for a manager, because the sales rep has absolutely no knowledge of any of the promotions, don’t ask me for which car. When I say no car I would like to speak with a manager Responding with “you didn’t tell me whether you want a new or used” Is not the correct response when they did not ask if you wanted new or used. Instead try apologizing for not asking the correct question. Afterwards escalate the customers concern to a human and not a voicemail. This is customer service 101. Your dealerships have lost potentially two new car sales because of this interaction. I will go to the Lake Orion dealership. I’m surprised Glassman would put someone so unprofessional as their front face on the phone.

After speaking with numerous car dealerships, I landed at Glassman Kia. Everywhere I went, EVERYWHERE, said there was nothing they could do to help me get into a car with my 1099 and bad credit score. This was my last shot for my very needed family car. Gary Sharp, hands down went above and beyond for my situation. He kept me updated everyday with what was being offered. After 3 days, had me an amazing interest rate, I had definitely not seen coming. He had me out the dealership with a 2018 in half an hour. I am still in shock. If you think getting into a new car is impossible, Gary Sharp comes highly recommended. He made this process so easy. I have never been to a dealership where the salesman, was truly looking out for me. I look forward to business here with any future vehicles.

Great Sales Team and Fair Prices

Great experience. I'd visited the dealership a few years ago with a friend looking for a vehicle and we had a poor experience. But, with the recent reviews on Google (positive) I decided to try it again. By far this was the best decision I could make. My sales leads (Gary Sharp) listed to my wants/needs and my price point bottom line to provided me with two options to consider. I knew what I wanted and I was firm on price and model. I purchased a vehicle the following week. Gary was great; he made the car purchase process easy. The mark of a great sales lead is honest (keeps word on prices), introduced himself and asked how can I help you, and great communication (confirm pickup, process on credit approval, car availablity) he's a great sales person I have recommend to my friends and family. I'm very demanding and I visited two other dealers and selected Glassman Kia. Which was the best choice!

Very dishonest and manipulative

I went to Glassman Kia to purchase my new kia soul after much shopping and investigation. I chose to go here because they worked with True Car through Sams Club and I wouldn’t have to haggle for a price. I already knew prices of the cars, incentives and had been preapproved by my credit union for a great rate. When I met with Mike Anderson, the sales person, we negotiated a good price and they agreed that they would match the interest rate of my credit union. After waiting for 3 hours in the dealership, I signed initial papers. I was then called into the finance office to sign my final paperwork. The interest rate on this paperwork was 2 points higher than what I agreed to and the finance manager stated that with my credit I did not fall into the agreed interest rate category. I already knew my credit and it was very good. After three hours in the dealer, this had not been disclosed to me by the salesperson or sales manager. Each of the people I spoke to stated that they did not realize this was not disclosed. They all took advantage of a senior citizen. Everyone I dealt with was extremely dishonest and manipulative to just close the sale. I do not recommend going to this dealer.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!

This place is horrible, they are [non-permissible content removed]. I bought a used car and not even a week later the engine light went on, and I am now having to spend 2,000 to get it fixed. Their 130 point inspection is all a lie, they didn't check anything, and they didn't care when I called to say what happened. Do not waste your time or money.
