New Ram that I wasn't expecting at all ! YAY !!!!!

I have purchased 12 vehicles over the years from Jayde at Seelye of Paw Paw. Both of my sons have bought their vehicles from there also. This time around I was looking to trade in my truck ( the only one I didn't buy there) for one a little newer and with less problems. Like most, I have a budget to stay within and thought I could only afford a decent used truck. Once again, Jayde exceeded my expectaions. He informed me of all the rebates available and the new truck would be in my price range. Dwayne got the financing handled quickly and painlessly and I was in a new truck when I was expecting a used one. These guys build lasting relationships with people and establish trust which is hard to find. I do not work there nor do I get anything for writing a review. This is just my open and honest opinion of Jayde and Dwayne and my experiences over the years. Buy a car or truck wherever you want. Who am I to tell you where to shop? However, if you want a long lasting honest relationship where you are treated fair, honest, and never over sold, buy it here period!!! I have never been over promised and under delivered by Jayde, Dwayne or anyone else here. Service after the sale has always been exceptional also. Great Place for Single Moms to Car Shop!

This review is a shout-out to you single moms who need to buy a car but hate the thought of having to deal with the stereotypical car dealership. You need to go to Brian Borr at Seelye in Paw Paw! I bought a Cadillac SRX from Brian and it was a pleasure from the get-go. It's been years since I visited a car dealership and was apprehensive for all the usual variety of reasons, but from my first phone call with salesman Brian Borr, to my driving out of the car lot with my beautiful Cadillac, it was fun fun fun!!! If you're a single mom who doesn't have the benefit of 'male representation' when trying to find and purchase a good car, Brian at Seelye is your best answer. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of, or intimidated, or pressured. He wanted me to be happy with my purchase in the long run, and made sure I had plenty of options to choose from. And a big "thank you" to their Finance people (Jayde) who found me a deal beyond what I had even thought possible. Buying from Brian at Seelye was the most fun I've had in a looong time! So cheer up single moms! Seelye in Paw Paw is a safe place to explore new car possibilities!

Perfect execution from deal to drive-off

Located the Jeep I wanted online and made a call to them at noon on a Friday. Agreed on a price, arranged financing and headed downstate (220 mi away) by 5pm. Spent the night in GR and showed up at the dealership at 9am Saturday. My car was ready, financing was signature-ready and all was concluded quickly and problem free. Wally B did an awesome job putting everything together according to our phone conversations got me on the road and heading home with my new Rubicon in perfect time. Thanks to all!!

A Great Car Buying Experience!

I had been looking for a new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee at other area dealers. I happened upon Seelye Wright's web-site and checked their inventory, and lo and behold, they had the unit I was looking for. I asked a couple of questions via e-mail, which put me in touch with Steve R, an internet sales representative. Steve informed me that the vehicle I was after was still in stock, and we arranged a convenient time to meet later in the day. From the time that I first entered the dealership, I was treated courteously and professionally by everyone I came into contact with. I was warmly welcomed, and to put it simply, was treated like "royalty." Steve was very professional and knowledgeable of the vehicle I was interested in. He was very up-front about the vehicle's pricing, incentives, and was committed not only to making a sale happen -- but also to making me happy as a customer. We worked the numbers together, and soon agreed upon a fair sales price. I was very happy with the sale price, and was particularly happy with what I had received for my trade-in. I was already pre-approved for a car loan by my Credit Union. However, Steve and the Finance Manager (sorry, don't remember the gentleman's name!) went the extra mile and were able to come up with vehicle financing at a much better rate. This has been, perhaps, one of my better car buying experiences. I am, again, very happy with the sales price, trade-in value, and financing options. At no time did I feel "pressured" or otherwise "forced" into making a buy. Steve and the staff at Seelye Wright are professional and committed to making the car buying experience less stressful, and to making you feel important as a customer. High "5's" all around. These guys are good, and I have no problem with recommending them to anyone!

My Hard to find vehicle

We have been looking for a Chev. Traverse since June. We found this Seelye Wright Auto dealer on the internet and found the car we were looking for, with the type of miles we wanted on the car. We called the dealership first, talked to Kris D., we weren't happy with the offer he gave us, but we went up to the dealership and talked to him. He was willing to work with us on the price and we finally came up with a price we both agreed on. We were happy with it and so was he. I would reccommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a car. They are willing to look for a car if they don't have it on the lot and will go anywhere to get it for you.

Poor Post Sale Customer Service

First the good. I was in the market for a Jeep SRT8 and contacted Michael G. through their website. He was super responsive and we closed the deal shortly thereafter. Since their dealership is around 2 hours from me, we dealt exclusively over the phone and email. He had my paperwork ready upon arrival and the Jeep was sitting out front waiting for me, fully detailed and fresh oil change complete. I did a quick test drive and there was a very evident issue on the front end. Michael had the service technicians take a look and they diagnosed the problem as a bad right front tire. While I waited, they got a tire and replaced the defective one. At the time, I was feeling pretty good about the customer service. Now the bad. The next day after I got back home, I noticed a small amount of oil on my garage floor. I wasn't too alarmed right then as I thought it may have been some oil left over from the recent oil change. Within a few days, I had to purchase brakes as the front pads were down to 15%. While I had the Jeep on a lift to replace the brakes, I noticed there was a lot of oil underneath near the pan. That was alarming so I arranged to take vehicle to a local Jeep dealership. They confirmed that there was definitely a leak and eventually found that there was a bad seal. This was a fairly complex repair requiring the transmission to be dropped and I was without a vehicle for several days. Thankfully there was still a powertrain warranty or this would have been very expensive. It is very hard for me to believe that this issue went unnoticed while the technicians were changing my oil at Seelye Wright. Also during this time and prior to the oil leak repair, I was going over the vehicle in detail. That is when I made a discovery on the tire they replaced. For those that don't know, the Jeep SRT8 comes from the factory with run flat tires. However, they replaced my tire with a non-run flat. Reasoning is simple: it was less expensive. Upon noticing this, I contacted Michael to see if they would be willing to at least replace the left front with the same tire so I did not have a mix on the same axle. He said that there was nothing that he could actually do but that my information would be given to the dealership owner so he could make a decision. My original request was on September 1st and to this day I have not heard anything from the dealership. Apparently post sale, I fall into the "not my problem" category. I think this is sad customer service as I was only asking for a tire that would have cost them perhaps $200 or less. Considering the premium price paid on the vehicle, it would have been a paltry amount. The Seelye Wright tag line is Yes We Can but my experience has been more like No We Can't. The last issue that I will list concerns the engine. I had been provided a clean Carfax which definitely helps with making a decision on a used vehicle. Once I got home, I looked in the glove box so I could take a look at manual. I found a lot of old paperwork in there from previous owner. As it turns out, the short block had been replaced on the Jeep in early 2010. No mention of that on the Carfax. I know the Carfax won't catch everything but that was a shock for sure. I find later through dealership paperwork that this block replacement was noted in their service department. But, again, there was no mention of this to me at purchase. So, in summary, the customer service at Seelye Wright was great throughout the purchase process. However, upon closure of the sale, I have completely been dismissed. Michael has been apologetic to my plight but confirmed that it is out of his hands. After giving the dealership quite a decent sum of money on a Jeep that they were getting ready to send to auction, I would have expected that they would have been a little more sympathetic and willing to assist a new customer. But instead they have proven that a customer that lives 2 hours away from their dealership means nothing. They made money on the sale and that is apparently their only concern. What started off as a very nice experience has turned into a huge pain. Based on how I have been treated post sale, I could never recommend this dealer to my friends and co-workers in MI.

Fast service and good guys to deal with

I had an issue with a new car purchased from Seelye Wright that was serviced under warranty. I stopped in unannounced to see if they had received the part as I was in the area, and they fit me in their schedule in the middle of the day and performed the service while I waited. The service was as fast as could be expected (it wasn't a simple job), and every step in the process was handled in a professional an courteous manner. If I have any complaints it would be that they haven't opened a dealership in Grand Rapids yet!

Great service before and after the sale

I recently purchased a 2011 Challenger R/T from Seelye Wright of Paw Paw. I live and work in Grand Rapids so I spoke to 2 different dealerships in town. When neither of them were able to get me the vehicle I wanted, I started searching online and ran into what I was looking for at some dealership I'd never heard of in a town I'd never had any reason to go to some 70 miles from home. I emailed Joe at Seelye Wright and he immediately responded to my inquiry, then further followed up on my additional questions. I stopped by on a Friday night to test drive, and the staff stayed late to allow me to drive my new car off the lot. I had no intention of buying a car that night, but everyone from the management staff on down politely removed any barrier I had preventing me from purchasing the vehicle. Never once in this process was I pressured, they just met my price point for both the new vehicle and my trade in, while beating the already generous financing I had lined up from my bank. Any reason I had to say "no" to the deal was met by simply removing the problem until I said "yes". After the sale I had a problem with the car as delivered. I emailed Joe who responded that they'd see that it was resolved. The issue was compounded by the fact that it was near an aftermarket install that I performed myself, and it very easily could have led to the dealer or service department blaming me for the problem. This was discussed and the management staff immediately declared that it wouldn't be an issue, replaced the broken part, and had me on my way. This sort of service has me hooked. If my next car is Mopar (and, as it stands, it probably will be), I'll be making the drive to Paw Paw to talk to these guys again. You couldn't ask for a better experience, and I'd give them 11 stars if Edmunds would let me.

Won't tell how much any car is

I went here today and I spoke to Don..He refused to tell me how much ANY car was until I gave them $600, my credit information, and my check stubs. When I asked how much cars were, he said "We wait until we hear back from the bank before telling how much the cars were"..I told him how much I wanted to spend on a car, and his response, "We'll lets just see what the bank says first"..So I asked him, "So you don't know how much any of your cars are?" His response "Well the bank tells us how much we can sell the car to you for"..Again I asked, "So you don't know how much a single car on your lot is?" His response "Well ya I do know how much they are, but again the bank tells us first then we decide what to sell the car to you for." Who would seriously want to do business with a company like this? They won't tell you how much a car is, and first waits to see how much the bank is willing to give for the car FIRST? The dude refused to show me a single car or tell me how much ANYTHING was. I've purchased 5 cars in the past, my last three times stopping into Seelye Wright have progressively gotten worse..I guess their slogan Yes we can is short for.."Yes we can! rip you off" I'm done dealing with this deceitful company..I buy a car every other year, why would I want to continue to purchase from a company like this?
