"Very bad experience with the service dept"

I bought a certified pre owned highlander, after a week goes by a squeaky noise started every time I go over any potholes or a bump. So I go in to their service dept. to get it checked out. Service advisor tells me to come by tomorrow. So I come by next day, they didn't even looked at my car for hour and fifteen minutes. After 3 hours the advisor come by and tells my we have figured out the problem. I was like it took you guys 3 hours to figure out what's wrong with the car? At this time I was done with their stupid games and tired of waiting and waiting to hear non sense answers. Then he tells me oh we just want to figure out who's going to pay for it. At this time I really had it with this useless folks at the service dept. I told them I am leaving and walked out of there. If they show same passion as they show when they sell their cars that would be nice. Stay away from these guys. My friends and relatives also had bad experience with their service dept.

Like other guy said - bait and switch

Sent email expressing interest in buying a specific make/model of car. Asked for price. They named a decent price but beat by another dealer. Later offered a lower price. When other deal fell through we contacted Ira Toyota again. Ira sent another email saying new price was a typo and offered the "corrected" "out the door" cash price. Went in the next morning, missing work. Completely ignored until we found some guy in his cubicle. Turns out he was the one who sent emails. Brought us to the sales consultant. We showed email with latest "corrected" price to consultant. Agreed that was what we would pay out the door, in cash. About to put down cash deposit. Sales guy went to get car keys. Then was gone for a REALLY LONG time. Saw email guy, sales guy, and manager chatting. Really confused and bored. Noticed a guy in the next office giving other guy a shoulder massage (door open). Email and sales guy returned and said email guy had somehow made another typo and we would have to pay $1000 more and take financing which would involve missing another 2 hours of work to deal with financing crap. At this point we didn't want to miss any more work. Because unlike the IRA guys we weren't getting paid for this crap. So we left.

Great Customer Service

We arrived at the dealership on a Sunday afternoon. As soon as we parked our car, a salesman came up to us and introduced us to our salesman, Ron Y. He answered all of our questions and offered us water and coffee. They took us out for a test drive in the exact Rav4 we wanted including color but not including options we did not want. Next we met with the Finance Manager, who processed all the necessary forms (about 25 documents) very efficiently. We went back to Ron, who promised that they would install the remote starter the next morning, Monday, and could have the car ready by Monday afternoon. However, we couldn't come by on Monday but they had the car ready Tuesday as promised. Ron explained all the features of the car and it was an excellent sales experience overall.

Bait and switch

I was quoted a price on a 2013 Highlander Plus via email, yet when I went to the dealership they would not honor the quoted price. I call this "bait and switch". Don't go out of your way based on their quoted prices they don't honor them.

Very forthcoming with information; readily gave me a written quote when I asked for one; arranged for me to go to one of their other locations to look at and test drive a car that the options I wanted. I ended buying a more expense make and when I informed them, they continued to deal in a very professional way. I would shop with them again.

Great Customer Service

Ira Toyota in Tewksbury really knows the meaning of old fashioned service. I had been to 2 other Toyota dealers where no one even had the courtesy of acknowledging my existence. As soon as I walked into Ira Toyota I was greeted by Seng who did a great job of listening to what I did and did not want and brought around the perfect example for me to test drive. While I was waiting on the sidewalk, I was greeted and asked if I needed help from a woman that worked in the service department. Then I had a chat with Hector, the Inventory Manager. As we drove around, Seng patiently explained all the bells, buttons and features of the vehicle. Because their coffee machine was broken, he bought me coffee at Dunkin Donuts while we were out. The Cash For Clunkers and the upcoming rise in sales tax created a very short time frame for the dealership. Providing the Government required paperwork was easier said than done. All and all, I think this dealership did a terrific job of delivering my new vehicle before the deadline. They went out of their way to make sure I had a Great Experience. My Clunker was driveable but had developed a small leak the morning of one of my trips to the dealership. They let me leave it there and Hector drove me home. Dan, the Sales Manager, is definitely from the "Old School" of Customer Service and I have never met anyone who better understands how to accomplish that. Johnny (Sales Manager) was very thorough in reviewing all the required paperwork was correct. Dave (finance) did a great job explaining all my options and processed everything quickly. I went back today to get my sticker and my remote starter installed. They gave me a ride to Walmart and picked me up when my vehicle was ready. Being one of the first intended Clunker customers, I realize that I was a cog in what I'm sure is a well oiled wheel. During the process, Seng stayed in touch with me and promptly returned my calls. I would highly recommend this dealership and my salesperson Seng to anyone interested in purchasing a Toyota.
