Deposit Refund

I placed a deposit on a vehicle and ended up changing my mind. I have been asking for a refund on the $500.00 deposit I gave them and for 3 weeks they have been telling me that the check is in the mail

check engine light came on during our thanksgiving trip back from CT. Brought it into the dealer with out an appt. accommodated me right away. turns out it was the exhaust flap. However, I was just out of warranty but I still didn't get charged. Very Nice

Every staff member at Volkswagen is very polite, helpful, and reliable. Especially Jack Dafonsenca, he resolved my issue in seconds. He found me a car that is affordable and helped me with their finance personal. Also, I never had to wait for the staff to come greet me and answer any questions I had.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM VW GALLERY OF NORWOOD I have never experienced such customer service in my life. When we first arrived at the dealership everything seemed normal. We were looking into purchasing a specific vehicle so we test drove it. Everything was smooth until we started talking about financing. Our salesman Tony Shuman along with the sales manager Ben misunderstood us and thought we were absolutely purchasing the vehicle. We mentioned that we might be able to put a certain amount as a down payment if need be. Our credit card was whisked away and charged that down payment, all the while we were assured MULTIPLE TIMES that if things didn't work out, such as not being approved for credit or any other reason, we would be able to get it back with NO PROBLEM. Smooth talking guys. We had mentioned that IF we were to purchase the car we would need them to complete the Certification on the vehicle that according to paperwork hadn't been checked off the list as completed. It was cosmetic and they agreed to take care of it for us. We left that day without signing any agreement to purchase, let alone being approved for financing! A day or two later we got a call from them letting us know that the fixes had been made. This did help in the decision however discussing finances we realized that it wouldn't be the best choice for us financially. We sent an email stating as much to Tony, the salesman that assisted us. Within minutes he called irate. He said,"You know, we did all that work for you." Mind you, this is still before we had come to any financing arrangement, and the options presented to us by the finance manager were not great for us at all. My husband apologized several times and asked if we could have the charge of the down payment refunded. Tony told us that since they had done the work they would be keeping our "deposit" until the vehicle was sold. This was the "store policy". Umm, no. That money was not a deposit. It was a DOWN PAYMENT provided we could make things work. The vehicle was CERTIFIED meaning that that work should have already been taken care of. We signed nothing that said we would purchase the vehicle and thus the work would be done as a result. Two conversations later with Tony (after a dozen or so ignored calls to Ben the sales manger) and we were informed that we could be refunded, just not on the phone, we would need to drive TWO hours to the dealership. Umm, absolutely not. We called the credit card company and disputed the charge. They were unable to get a response from anyone there regarding the charge. Two weeks later we saw on their website that the vehicle had finally sold. We called and they said they COULD refund our money over the phone after they had said earlier that this was not possible. Almost a month later and we have just now received our money back. I am so glad that we did not purchase a vehicle from [non-permissible content removed], I can't imagine what would have happened if we had given them cash, check, or even a debit. Lesson learned. I hope that no one goes through what we did and stay away from this dealership. ** Side note ** According to the online carfax on this vehicle it was shown to be in a minor accident. The carfax we were handed by Tony showed something completely different, that there were no accidents reported. I'm not sure what happened, but it's just another shady thing that really made us uncomfortable.

Great Car Buying Experience

I went the the VW gallery to test drive two cars that I had seen online. I was greeted by Eddie Adeche, who was very pleasant. He was able to give me meaningful information about the cars and treated me well. Because I had done research online the narrowing process was pretty easy. I was able to find a car for a good price with even more amenities than I wanted. I was satisfied with the price of the car and worked with Paul Valenti to come up with a financing plan that I could afford. Paul was flexible and understanding. Once it was clear that I was going to leave with a car Eddie cleared out my old car and transferred all of my items to my new car and cleaned out my floor mats! I have a little bit more paperwork to complete this week but I expect that to go smoothly. I am really pleased with my experience at the gallery and plan to go back for service.

Great Dealer

I was not sure what car I was buying and was planning on shopping up and down the automile in Norwood, Massachusetts. My quest ended at this dealership. I bought a 2015 Jetta at a very good price. Jack is the manager. He is a straight shooter and tells you what to expect. He acutally answered several emails before I even went to the dealership to scope out cars. My sales guy was Ricardo. He really knew the Jetta and actually went into the history of the different powerplants from 2003. He accurately gave me specific details of the engineering that went into the car and engine. I was impressed with his breath of knowledge and he is definately a car guy. Paul the business manager went to great lengths to knock my price down and get me very favorable financing terms. I was very very impressed with the business management and professionalism of this dealership. I so much enjoyed buying this car, it is a shame the deal has been consumated as I could do this many times. But alas, I didnt win the half billion power ball tonight so buying multiple cars is just not an option .... yet.

great experience buying 2015 GTI

I recently purchased a 2015 GTI at VW Gallery in Norwood, MA and had a great experience. I visited four VW dealerships in greater DC and had varying degrees of unpleasant experiences, so it was a great relief to walk into VW Gallery and experience the relaxed, friendly vibe. There was no pressure; I knew what we wanted, they located it despite the new '15 GTIs only having started to arrive in the US a few weeks prior, and they even helped us take advantage of special pricing. When hiccups popped up related to registering it in a nearby state because of our recent move, they went the extra mile to find a workaround. Give them a shot; you'll be glad you did!

I bought my 2009 Jetta Sportwagen here and have returned for the scheduled maintenance. I think the service has improved over the last 3 years. They are efficient, courteous and professional. They stay in contact with you letting you know how things are progressing. The waiting area is quiet and clean. Service done and recommended service is explained thoroughly. Your car is washed and waiting by the front door.
