Unfulfilled Promises/Deceiving Sales Practices
I found the vehicle listed on CarGuru and it was listed as a good deal. I wish I had done prior research because I found a number of Facebook and Yelp reviews similar to my own experience. First of all, the vehicle was listed as having leather seats and it did not. However, I did like the vehicle. I stated at the beginning that the deal was contingent on me receiving floor mats and an additional key. The salesman, Mike Evans, left for a few minutes, came back and said his manager was ok with that. He put it down in the notes when writing the bill of sale. We worked out payment, they put together paperwork, which took some time. They then had me sign a number of forms, giving my the gist of what each meant. Looking back, I should have been more observant, because the final paperwork did not include anything about the promised key and floor mats. When I came to pick up the car several days later, Mike told me that he could no longer do the key because his manager would not let him. Also, the floor mats would cost extra. When I referred back to our initial conversation, he plead ignorance. When I asked to speak to the manager, the manager said since it was not in writing (Mikeâs notes long gone), he refused to honor it. I was appalled that they went back on our agreement, but could do nothing as I already paid for the vehicle. It was an awful experience and I cannot enjoy the vehicle after being violated in this sales experience. They went out of their way to deceive and gauge money from me and my pregnant wife. I implore you to seek another dealership and another salesman besides Mike Evans.
Very Satisfied Customer
The customer service offered from DCH TOYOTA, Milford was one of the best my Husband and I have experienced. From the welcome as we entered the facility to the finance office. A special thank you to Farshid for making our car shopping experience easy and his help from the start of the process to the explanation of all the cars functions before we drove out of the dealership. We have gone through the purchasing of a new car many times and this was by far the least stressful. Another thank you to Guglielmo, from the finance office, for also getting us through that process with no stress. The waiting area and the restrooms were also one of the cleanest.
Great Deal...No Pressure...Ask for Hany
After multiple emails, phone calls and visits to various dealerships...I decided to take a ride to DCH Toyota in Milford. I was greeted warmly in the parking lot by Hany, who complimented me on the vehicle I was driving. I told him "I'm glad you like it because you can have it." After that, we chatted about a new Highlander. I test drove it and liked it. I was only there about 20-30m. This made me happy because I hate wasting hours at car dealerships. The rest of the week consisted of casual texts and calls regarding prices and monthly payment options. I communicated with a few other dealerships, all of which were unable to put together a package like Hany did. To make a long story short, we made a deal without me visiting the lot again. Everything was done by text. It was perfect because I was home with my sick daughter all week and I didn't have time to negotiate in person. I finally told him "let's do it" and he put all the paperwork together and had it ready for me to sign so I was in and out in about 30m including the finance office. The last step was picking the vehicle up. I got a text around noontime the next day saying my new Highlander was filled with gas, registered, inspected, insured and washed....ready for pick up. It was the easiest deal I ever made and there was no pressure. Hany did everything from a-z. Ask for him when you go there. You can even tell him John Wallace sent you. He was a pleasure to deal with.
