Professional service

Mr. Winston provided me with excellent service from the time I first called Waldorf Toyota about a car. After I purchased my 2017 Camry, Mr Winston took me step by step advising me of the operational aspect of the car which made me more comfortable driving it.. My car was 16 yrs old and so many things had changed, I was glad Mr Winston picked up the phone when I first called about a new car.

Lies Lies Lies everywhere!!!!

I try to be as fair as I can I really do. I do not like to really give reviews because most of the time its not needed, but on this occasion I am so frustrated at the level of deception it is almost staggering. They advertised a Sonata Limited for 15,487 with WOW 11,023 miles. I was so happy. So we test drove the car. Everybody was so nice. The sales lady Lenyk Scott seem to be really knowledgeable and friendly. Just everything so perfect Right!!!. Wrong..Wrong..Wrong...I was told heh take the car home see if you like it. Nope I decided to just test drive, which the car felt pretty good. Got home and did my research. On Edmunds site the far listed at 15,487. Oh but wait there was a slash through the price...REveal for the special price it said and brought the total to around 15,130. And wait they had a deal for bringing in your "clunker" car taking off 3,500. Wow my deal is getting even better. So after lots and lots of talking laughing and smiling we went home to discuss and make sure we took off work to get there first thing in the morning to buy the car. Before arriving my girlfriend called and said heh we want to make the deal...wait for it..wait for it.. now for the BS. Lenyk explained that the "clunker price" was off the original price of 18,000. Hold on...wait..huh... The price on Edmunds says 15,487. Oh edmunds just put the price after our special deal. But hold on now, the car according to edmunds was reduced from 18000 to 16000 on May 1 and that was not during your trade in clunker promotion, so how are we at 18,000. There was another promo going on at a sister dealership...Wait...hold on..So let me get this straight. The car, according to edmunds, was listed at 18,000 is selling slow and been on the lot over 30-40 days was reduced to 16,000, this was before any promotions occurring, then was reduced to 15997 and then reduced again to 15487 but you can only allow me to do the trade on your 18,000 list amount. And the special secret amount I get, you know the one when you put your email in said 15187 that doesnt count either correct? NO it doesnt I was told by Lenyk Scott because that is only on new cars and edmunds doesnt tell put that information either. Oh and we are not resposible for what edmunds puts on their site even if its incorrect!!! So this is edmunds fault not the dealership or the case of false advertising right! Oh did I forget to say that later my girlfriend was told we need to make a decision because somebody from Ford wants to test drive the car and buy it for 18,000. Yet, I had submitted an email interested in the vehicle with a different name and guess what I got a call back immediately regarding the car that needed an answer immediately because it would be gone at 18,000 from the secret person test driving it today. WTH. Come on man. This is just Wrong. I usually do not get upset at things because I get it you are trying to make a dime. But bad business is bad business. If you see the customer is hip to the game of lies just try and work something out fair. Your caught let it be. But to continue down the path and keep lying is what really makes bad business. Do not blame edmunds the very site you utilize to bait the customers to visiting your shop and then change everything up with pressure tactics to get a sale. Your reviews at some point will start to get out there and your reputation will suffer. I truly would have given this place 5 stars for the customer service when I first pulled on the lot, but never understood that this was built on 5 stars of false advertising to their customers. For anybody visiting just beware of what comes next when it gets to the actual details of the deal. Very upset at what I went through.

Unacceptable Customer Service

So I have never visited this dealership but tried to schedule a service appointment to get my oil changed. The first rep hung up in my face because she said that I was breaking up. The second rep was very impatient and seemed to have a bad demeanor. She acted like I was a bother and did not offer additional dates to suit my needs. I ended up scheduling with Passport Toyota in Suitland. They were very pleasant, patient, and personable.

Used 2012 Honda CRV car sale- through Tickets At Work advertisement

When I submitted an online inquiry based on an ad through Tickets At Work about the 2012 Honda CRV I received a call within 20 minutes from Ms. Betty who was gracious, warm and welcoming. She informed me that I would be contacted by a Used Car Sales Representative Mr Lonnell Wilson who was inviting. When he called, he found out what my interests and concerns were and agreed to meet. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and very helpful. By the next day, when I visited the dealership, It was a great experience especially with Ms. Monica (Finance) as she ensured I could get the best rate and monthly payment that would allow me a small increase (less than $15 than my current note) that would still allow me to help support my oldest son who is now paraplegic. Ms. Monica understood that it was necessary to get this crossover vehicle in order to store my son's wheelchair upright. Although, there were some minor concerns with the heating element in the car, Mr. Floyd was insistent on rectifying my concerns and made sure all was handled with care. I live in Greenbelt, Maryland and based on the good service and customer care, I did not have issue with traveling to Waldorf to finalize my used-car purchase. It is almost 3 months (short 9 days) and I am totally pleased with the Honda CRV as well as the service I received at Waldorf Toyota. Special Thank you to: Ms. Betty (internet sales), Mr. Lonnell Wilson (Used-Sales), Ms. Monica (Finance), Mr. Eric Carter (Used-Sales) and especially Mr. Floyd Alexander (GM)!!!! Note: I saw the vehicle, spoke to a representative and purchased the car the next day based on GREAT SERVICE!!!!!!!

My wife and I came into the Toyota of Waldorf dealership not quite sure which type of vehicle that we wanted. As soon as we met the salesperson, Lenyk Scott, I new that she would help us find the right vehicle. She was very professional and personable. She had the patience to listen to what we wanted and guide us to the right vehicle, (Toyota Highlander). She made sure to explain the entire car buying process and guide us through it with no hassle. My buying experience at Waldorf Toyota was exceptional. The salesman who worked with me was extremely astute about the features of the vehicles. He walked me thru all the safety features on the vehicles and the other technology and convenient features. He showed great patience working with a non-techy person, me, explaining basic features such as setting the radio, using the nav system, setting up blue tooth, and explaining and demonstrating the use of other electronic controls. He answered every question that I had and many of those that I did not know to ask. The initial base price of the vehicle was provided upfront without any gimmicks or unnecessary haggling. The financing staff was equally helpful explaining the terms of my contract and ensuring the best possible financing opportunity was made available to me. I was totally pleased with this buying experience. Kudos to the staff of Waldorf Toyota!

You can only be a 5 Star dealership if you employ 5 Star Salesman which I think you have in Ernest Winston. When I first came this dealership it was for service that's when we met. I then came to purchase my second rav 4 and he was my salesperson it was pleasant experience he was professional knowledgeable and patient. "I Purchased a pre-owned Toyota FJ Cruiser from Waldorf Toyota earlier this week. This was my first non-Ford purchase ever and my first experience with Waldorf Toyota, but so far I can't think of anything to gripe about. On the plus side, it was easy to get straight answers and everyone seemed to know exactly what they were doing. I did not have to wait around for anything. My sales person (Lenyk) stayed way late to accommodate me and the manager was responsive and accommodating. The representatives who handled the financing, accessories and add ons, were also very professional and personable. I would have no reservations about going back or recommending this dealer to others."

Amazing Experience!

I had the pleasure of working with Lonnell and my experience was amazing! Since I was not from the area, he recommended working with the numbers to come up with a deal before I came out there so I wouldn't potentially be wasting my time. At first things weren't going my way but he never quit or gave up on me and did not push a car on me that I was not 100% satisfied with! He did everything he could (while I was still out of state and not missing work!) and was able to get me approved on the vehicle that I wanted within my budget! I was so happy and pleased with his persistance to get me what I wanted instead of pressuring me into something different!! I would definitely return in the future as well as recommend anyone looking for a car - no matter how bad your situation! - to go see Lonnell at Waldorf Toyota!!

The worst ever

I will never buy another car from them. It was my first and last time. I went and bought my car and they gave me a $5,000 credit on my old car, but then after I signed the papers I had asked what the $5,000 was for that they added and he told me in case they needed to use it for my car, and said they would give it back to me after my car was paid off. My attorney told me that they owe me the $5,000 plus interest since they are charging me interest. Then I got a telephone call from them to come back in and re-sign papers a week later because they had put the wrong VIN number. I had asked the sales person if I need to let my insurance know and he said that I didn’t need to. But I did because it made a difference in my insurance. Then I had lost my spare key and they quoted me a low number and told me to come in that following Saturday and I waited for over 3 hours and then they told me that it hadn’t come in and would order it and get back to me. It took over a month and no one called me. So I called and they said it didn’t come in and that they would order it -- then a higher up manager called me an hour later and said it was in. So then the price of the key was double of what they had quoted me. I will never take my car back there and will never buy a car from them. I have had more than three Toyota cars and love them. I found someone better to take care of my car.
