Great buying experience

I came to Rockville Audi-Porsche to test drive an Audi s3, and I was not impressed with its performance and handling. After the test drive, the Audi sales associate introduced me to the Porsche team and I test drove a Cayman and a 911 Carrera. I was very impressed with both vehicles, and the Porsche sales staff went out of their way to explain the nuisances between the two models without any pressure to purchase. I returned the next day to purchase the Carrera and Steven Mueller once again was extremely knowledgable and professional in making the purchase experience a smooth and easy process. I am happy to be a Porsche customer and I will definitely return to the Rockville dealership to purchase again.

First Oil Change and Service on Porsche Macan S

This was the Macan S first 10,000 mile oil change and service. The service manager was very good and explained most everything. The service took about 1 hour longer than I expected although a fuel line recall was also completed. The cost was $920, which seemed a little high. An oil change on my Porsche Boxster Spyder cost half that price and required more effort.

I have a 2004 Porsched Cayenne Turbo. It's a great vehicle but it also requires great care. I have been to 3 services shops or dealers and finally found one that treats their customers with the high level of service and courtesy expected by a Porsche owner. Porsche of Rockville is more out of my way than the two other places I've used but their service is of a level expected by a Porsche owner and is worth the extra time it requires me to use their services. The work was done correctly and quickly. The staff were friendly and courtious. My vehicle was returned washed and cleaned. The rate was appropriate. The only gripe was that I scheduled an appointment where a loaner was promised from the dealership. When I arrived, there was no loaners left. It happens, I guess, but they did arrange for an Enterprise rental and took care of all the cost.

Perseverance furthers

My 1997 Porsche 911 had problems with the complex and trouble prone engine immobilizer system that prevented the car from starting. It was an extremely difficult to repair because today very few have the knowledge and skill to even diagnose the problem correctly. Kudos to Danny, the service tech with 30 years of experience on old Porsches, who persevered for four months to slay that dragon. Though the bill was not inexpensive, it was very fair given the brainpower and tenacity required. This problem was so hard that many shops would simply have given up, leaving the car unfixable at any price. I should note that at least one Porsche specialist declined to work on the car.

Poor Service for African Americans - Zero Stars

I am an African American woman who visited the Porsche of Rockville Dealership in Rockville, Maryland on November 9, 2013. I was also accompanied by another African American. When we first entered the dealership we immediately walked directly to the 2014 Porsche Panamera, which was on the main showroom floor. We thought we would have received a warm reception by smiling sales people who were ready to provide good customer service. It was just the opposite. Although, there were several sales people sitting around who did not have any customers at the time, we still received no immediate assistance, not even a warm hello or even someone saying that they would be with us momentarily. If fact, we were the only customers on the floor at the time and the sales people who were stationed around the main showroom floor looked away as we were looking for assistance. Finally, a gentlemen came from out of nowhere to engage us in conversation about the Porsche we were looking at. He did not provide his name or even offer any real assistance. However, I have to say at least he did more than all of the other salesmen did who were just sitting around looking at us and then gazing away. At least he came to the floor. Therefore, I decided to still give it a shot and started telling that salesman what I was looking for which WAS a white Porsche panamera with a dark interior. I also explained that I hadn’t driven the panamera before. The salesman stated that he did not have a white Porsche in stock but could look online for one. He did not even address the fact that I had never driven this type of vehicle before. It was as if he did not even hear what I said (when I knew better). I quickly inquired about a black panamera, which was parked outside and could be seen from the showroom floor. My companion, the salesman and I went outside to look at that particular car and the salesman was quick to point out that it cost around $140k. I explained that I was trying to make a decision between the Lexus LS460 and the panamera. I started to ask if I could test drive the vehicle and before I could even get the words out, the salesman stated that they do not allow customers to do test drives and they only had 2 vehicles available and did not want to place any extra miles on the vehicles. I stated that I would not buy any car that I was not allowed to test drive. The salesman repeated the bit about not being able to test drive a vehicle. He then asked me what kind of business I was in and when I told him, he stated that perhaps I can speak to my manager and we could take a short test drive. I decided to decline his offer and stated that I would purchase my vehicle from another dealership. I quietly left the premises. It is quite sad that in 2013, we still have this type of blatant racism and unfair treatment towards African Americans. It is quite idiotic for anyone to believe that an African American in this day could not purchase a $100k or even a $140k vehicle. I would offer to say to this dealership to NEVER equate someone’s skin color to how much one can afford. “Have you heard about Oprah Winfrey’s trip to Switzerland?” If not, then google it. For the record, I am a MILLIONAIRE!!!! For all customers who are thinking about buying a Porsche, an Audi or any car, PLEASE DO NOT go to the Porsche of Rockville dealership!!! I would say go to a business that supports diversity and fair business practices to all people regardless of color. Thank you Porsche of Rockville for helping me to make my decision to purchase the Lexus LS460.
