Stay FAR FAR AWAY - worst dealership EVER
Have had 5 tires put on car in 25K miles. Each time they blame it on the road. Unable to fix other problems (tire pressure sensor) after 10 times so service person took my car home without my consent for weekend "test drive" put 180 miles on it and CHARGED ME to put gas into the car. Would not admit any wrong-doing but said that I would get car detailed and full tank of gas. I got the detail but they never made good on the gas. The service people are very rude and basically laugh at you when you become upset with their inferior service and practices. Joy Chilcoate is THE WORST. Because I complained about them taking my car home, I was not longer worthy of having her as a service adviser - she wanted an apology from me!!!!!!! No sense in reporting to BMW North America - they just send your letter back to the dealer. Also, once you fill out your survey in a negative manner, they will not send you another survey. Find ANY other BMW dealer in the area before trying BMW of Rockville
I would never buy a car from Rockville BMW and specifically Karen Cruz. She met with us and I was ready to do a deal. She sent us home and told us to email her. That has never happened to me in all my years of car buying, dealers like to close deals while you are there. When she finally returned my call she said she couldnt get back to me, she was with a customer. What was I? When I finally got a price from her it was $15,000 below sticker. I questioned it and she said yes. When I tried to reach her again she never returned my call. I spoke with a manager who said it was a mistake and he apologized and they would make me a good deal. Why would I buy from a dealership clearly not interested in my business? I did buy a BMW from another dealership and I have had an easy and wonderful experience with them. I would rate Rockville BMW with 0 or negative stars if that was a possibility.
Indifferent to customer issues
During service of my lease vehicle, they put an incorrect mileage for my vehicle which corrupted the vehicle history report and flagged the car as out-of-warranty despite having many miles and years remaining. The result was that I was unable to trade in the car on purchase of a new vehicle at another dealership. When I tried to get them to help, even to pay the lost lease disposition fee, they brushed me off and literally say "that won't happen" in a terse e-mail. They simply don't care about their customers, unless they can squeeze out another sale. They tried to strong arm me into buying another vehicle from them. I will never use this dealership again and will campaign my friend, colleagues and anyone else to avoid this dealer for sales or service.
Stay away from these [non-permissible content removed]!!
Do not buy a car from them. Dishonorable, disreputable [non-permissible content removed]. They gave me a price in writing. It sat on the table for three days. I decided to "pull the trigger," and called the salesman. On my way driving to the dealership, he called me back and reneged. Said he wanted another $1,000. I went to the dealership and after hours of haggling, I was worn down and agreed to pay $600 more that the written quote, plus title, tags, etc. Now, six months later, some new employee who claims that he's there to fix problems, called me to say that I still owe them another $311!!!! This is after they screwed up the titling and I had to get new tags. Unbelievably bad dealings and zero customer service. Stay away from these [non-permissible content removed].
Certified Pre-Owned was in an Undisclosed Accident
I was so excited to buy a BMW after driving a minivan for 12 years! Twins are now 12 and it was time for mom to have a fun, but still safe car! But unfortunately shortly after the purchase of a certified pre-owned BMW (2014 x3) a series of trips to the service department determined that prior my purchase, the previous owner had gotten in an accident and cosmetically covered up the damage on the exterior. While BMW fixed the damage at no cost to me (I will say that Scott the service manager was AWESOME throughout this experience), the sales manager will not respond to my questions on how an accident or serious dependencies in the mileage reported were not identified as part of the certified pre-owned vehicle inspection checklist. I am now concerned about the fundamental safety of the car for my children and am working with BMW North America to address the problem since Rockville is unwilling to even engage. At this point I can't recommend the dealership or the car.
Undisclosed damage to pre-owned car
I purchased a pre-owned 2015 BMW X4 from this dealer and noticed a stone chip in the windshield within 5 minutes of driving away. I returned with the car and they insisted that the damage happened after I drove it off the lot. I called an auto glass company to fix the chip at my expense. When the technician arrived and examined the windshield chip, he noticed that it was repaired before and showed me the resin from the prior repair. The damage was not disclosed by the dealer and they hid it from the CARFAX report before I purchased the car. BMW of Rockville was the only prior owner of the car and did not disclose this damage or attempted repair I would not trust this dealer and would not recommend them to anyone.
Horrible experience! Unethical team!
This dealership had the vehicle I wanted. I spent the entire day Saturday working with Scott Sohn and Elias Contianes to put a deal together since it was an out of state purchase and I didn't want to waste me time driving down 5 hours and 5 hours back if the deal was not going to happen. Well, we decline financing which seems to have bother them. Now the dealership would not be able to make more money on us in financing charges. The very next day, Sunday, we called to finalize the logistics and we were informed by Scott that the car had been sold that very day. Basically, BMW of Rockville team sold the car which I was going to sign on the dotted line for and pick up on Monday. In other words, their word meant nothing. Not a good thing since your reputation is all you got in business. As for BMW of Rockville, I am sure they don't care since by the sounds of the other reviews they don't have much of a reputation.
Quick and Efficient Service!
I certainly wanted to share my car buying experience, as it was the actually a pleasure! I came in and was shown the perfect vehicle and was quickly walked through its purchase by a knowledgeable and professional salesman by the name of Ivan Johnson, Jr. I recommend giving Ivan the opportunity to serve your needs, as you will be impressed and satisfied. BMW of Rockville is a great dealership overall.
Having dealt with Rockville BMW for past two years I have been very pleased both with the service technicians and technical counselor. The later keeps me always apprised of the necessary service need and the time it will take. She provides me with a loner as need and is extremely helpful.
worst service, sorst staffs and management
i've been buying cars from Mile One since 1984, great service and staffs, if you want the worst service? try Rockville BMW. what a [non-permissible content removed] service people! they drag you to expiry of your warranty so that they can charge you left and right fees. I have reported them MD attorney general and Montgomery county consumer affairs.
An impecable experience full with Excellence, Fun and Compedence
We never thought that it would be easier to buy a car than buy groceries! Kudos to the e-Commerce manager David Lawell who responded immediately to our inquiry and arranged for car testing next day and anticipated every thought we had, to the client advisor Charlie Perez who was so kind, knowledgeable and patient and took care of all our questions and concerns, and the financial advisor Kenny Poerstel who was also so kind, knowledgeable and patient to describe our finance, registration and tag transfer questions. They all redefined our standards of what excellence and outstanding service is all about!!! It will be very hard for us to want to go another dealership in the future, for our BMW needs, just because they exceeded all of our highest expectations and made our experience so pleasant. Our 2011 Space Gray X3 feels as excellent as the work ethic folks who facilitated our purchase.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
This dealership has the best customer service EVER. I was so surprised. They did all the warranty work on my used BMW that I just purchased with no hassle. Pleasantly surprised. I recommend Jeff Doss for all your service needs!
No need to dread the purchase experience...
Over the years I have purchased cars locally from Lexus, Acura, Volvo and Saab dealerships, as well as others. They were all the typical car buying dreadful experience. Not so with my recent experience at BMW of Rockville where I purchased an i3. Professional. Informative. Customer focused. Responsive. Competitive on price. Knowledgable. Not pushy but engaged with making a sale. The polar opposite of all the other car dealers I mentioned. My experience at BMW Rockville, both pre- and post-purchase, was far superior to any other automobile purchase I have ever experienced in the past.
The Best car deal experience!
The Best car deal experience! My experience with with Karen Cruz and BMW of Rockville has been the most enjoyable experience possible. It was quick, smooth, respectful and fair! Karen Cruz is far the Best of dealer sales person I have so far met (I have visited tens of dealerships in France and US and got many financial offers). She has been recommended to by Stefano who praises her rare quality. It is not surprising that Stefano drove from Boston and I from New York to get our cars and are both very satisfied. Everything was so smooth, transparent, professional... it was a hassles deal; for the first time I got impression the dealer is just proposing me the fair price and a winning deal for both parties. I review my deal details and it was far what I could get. My delivery experience was beyond my expectation. It was just stunning and unforgettable ultimum customer experience. Karen took a time to explain me all the options and term, and call me back few days to make sure everything was going well and confirm her availability anytime. I wait before writing this review to make sure it is fair, after few weeks and double after checking my deal financial details and Karen advice for all services and options, I just realized how Karen's advice was so intelligent, wise and accurate for each single detail and option of the SUV. We like and enjoy the car and the offer. Karen is such a great person, very nice, professional and efficient! I definitely and highly recommend Karen and BMW of Rockville overall.
I worked with Carlos on a lease for my 328d. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or lease a BMW. He was knowledgeable, responsive and fair!
Avoid Rockville BMW Service Center at all costs
I came here for the first time Saturday 6/28/14 for a simple oil change (which ended up costing $225). Came home with 4 ruined wheels, clear coat on all 4 wheels stripped. Service Manager Scott C was no help denying any wrong doing by them but thanks for offering a quote to have them refinished. Ridiculous!
We recently bought our first BMW from BMW of Rockville. Marty was great to work with. We appreciated his friendly, low pressure approach, and his patient demonstration of our new car's features. David Cobb
The best car purchase experience ever!
After getting my USAA car buying service information and sending it to three BMW dealerships, BMW of Rockville contacted me. David L responded to my initial email and assigned Tony D as my client advisor. Tony is first and foremost a gentleman. He was patient, helpful and when sold my car to Carmax, he picked my up and brought me to the BMW dealership to pick up my new car. In addition to Tony, the finance guy (Salem) was also wonderful in explaining all my options to me and showing me repair history that helped me decide about warranties. No hard sell - just good, factual information. Tony not only was a great salesman, but he's a good person who wanted nothing more than to make sure I was happy with my decision - whether it was buying a new BMW or a car at another dealership. I'm certain I will visit the dealership again and I can only hope that these guys are still there - they were awesome.
Buying a 2013 x-5 bmw
Dealership showed excellent salesmanship selling me a 2013 x-5. Client advisor Tony D did not bug me to buy a car from this dealership. He showed me all the vehicles I was looking at on the internet and answered all questions fully and did not try to push me into buying a car from him. The day I bought the car everybody at this dealership made you feel right at home like you have been coming here for years. Excellent service would not hesitate to buy from them again in the future.
We recently bought our second BMW from Roxanne R. She did a great job explaining all of the options and making sure we got what we wanted. But there was no pressure to get options we didn't want. We enjoyed our experience at Rockville BMW and would not hesitate recommending them to friends.
Like buying a suit at Nordstrom...
Roxanne and her support team worked like a machine. She understood the details of my wants and needs and put them together with the right deal for me. I would recommend Roxanne and the experience to anyone looking for a BMW. They did not waste any of my time, and I left the deal feeling positive about the experience when so many times in the past it has been so negative and adversarial. Roxanne, Michael (her manager) and Salem in finance went out of their way to make the whole process comfortable and palatable.
