Bait/switch - not very ethical

Not a favorable experience was given a quote for service, discussed with repair rep, agreed to service based on what was not only communicated verbally but written, final charges greatly exceeded what I was told. Very misleading and not an ethical way to do business.

Purchase Price of Vehicle not as Stated

Son was given a price for the vehicle when he ordered the truck which included $2000.00 of incentives/discounts. But when the vehicle came in, the salesperson states that he had good news and bad news. The bad news was that he could only sell the vehicle offering 1000.00 incentive? This increased the cost of the vehicle which I was not happy about. My assumption is that if that was the price and incentive promised at the time the truck was ordered...why was it not given to us the day the truck was picked up. Disappointed.

Great Customer Service

I had to get some major work done on my 2009 Yukon Denali. I had called a couple GMC dealerships prior to Wilkins in Glen Burnie, MD. After speaking with some very rude, unprofessional people, calling them was like a breath of fresh air! The person who answered the phone sounded friendly & cheerful. I was set-up with an appointment and loaner vehicle promptly. When I finally brought my vehicle in the gentlemen in the service department were incredibly nice and helpful. As was the lady who set-up my loaner. Chuck my service guy, called me right away with some quotes and issues and my vehicle was completed in a timely manner.

Great care for my baby

I purchased my GMC Envoy from Wilkins, & rarely get service done at dealerships. Had some hick-ups w/ the SUV both warranty and general maintanence, but Rich Guido took responsibility to make sure my baby was taken care of. He kept to the quoted repairs and honored addtl dealer coupons and fit me in on same day appointment. The mechanic was Paul Zick, seeing his name on the repair ticket was a double bonus that my baby was in good hands. Thank you guys, hugs & kisses.

GM/Wilkins messes up, You pay!

I am the Owner of a 2010 GMC Acadia (Purchased Sept 2009). I used to change my Oil religiously each time my Indicator showed me. I did that last Aug 2014. In January 2015, after my Battery was replaced (At the GMC Dealership), the Oil Change Clock got reset. As a result I did not get any feedback regarding my Oil Level for 3 months. Last week ,my car randomly started decelerating and kicking back as I tried putting the brakes. When taken to the Dealership (Wilkins Buick GMC, Glen Burnie, MD), I was told that the timing chain got damaged due to Low Oil Level and I had to pay $3200 to fix that along with Coolant Flush, Fuel Injection Service, Brake Fluid Flush and Power Steering Flush. What is unfortunate is that, GMC had a known problem with timing chains (http://www.acadiaforum.net/index.php?topic=8815.0). Inspite of that there was no acknowledgement of that problem along with the fact that it was their fault that the Low Oil Indicator got reset during the Battery Replacement Service. And to top it off they tagged multiple services (worth $1000) which had got NO bearing on the actual issue with the problem @ hand! I cannot tell you how disappointed I am at GMC and the Dealership's treatment of customers! Is there anyway this can be communicated to GM as this can easily be a life risk to ANYONE! Our family with 2 young 5 and 7 year old children travel in that car. I cannot believe GM can be so callous about consumer safety. Service for Oil Change & Tire Rotation 2/16/15

I had my SUV in for the service indicated in the title. Before the service representative took my vehicle I took note of marks/wheel weights on the tires and their position of the vehicle because two other times the service department did not perform tire rotations as requested. When the vehicle was ready the tires were in the same position as before the service was performed. I told this to the service representative. He checked with the person that performed the service and indicated the tires were rotated. I went back out to make sure my assessment was correct and it was. I again went in to tell the service representative the tires were not rotated and he brought the person that did the service to see me and this person indicated to my face he rotated the tires. At this point the person that did the service was at the point of no return and couldn't change what he had previously said. Either way the tires were not rotated and it seems to be standard practice for this dealership since it is the third time I have caught them not rotating the tires. One of the times the service representative did not write on the repair order to rotate the tires and they took it right back and did rotate the tires, so this one was an honest mistake. The other two times, not so.

"BEST BUYING EXPERIENCE WE'VE EVER HAD!!!!!!!"

I have bought many cars in my life, but never have had an experience like this. Our salesman "Chuck Outen" was absolutely superb! He listened to what we wanted and with complete understanding gave us a list. Once we narrowed it down to two of them he went through in extensive detail with incredible knowledge of what each had, the pricing and what was the best deal "for us". A lot of this was done on the phone ahead of time so when we came in he had both vehicles on paper, side by side and explained again. He then took us out to drive each one and we made our decision. He had to order the vehicle from another dealership and when it came in he called us right away, and didn't try to rush us; he was always extremely patient and so very kind. When we came in for the car, he had everything ready and took us out to go over the entire car and show us how everything worked. When we came inside we were ready to go to finance and Chuck had already let the finance person know what we wanted and we spent 20 minutes in finance. We were done! It was faster than grocery shopping and we left knowing more than we ever knew about a car. Usually buying a new car is very stressful, but Chuck Outen made the best experience of all time. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating and a complete pleasure, He made the experience so incredibly pleasant and we are so grateful! Thank you Chuck, you did everything and made our experience one that we will never forget. We will recommend you to everyone we know and will come to you for our next vehicle. How refreshing to find someone with so many qualities. Someone who knows the vehicle completely and did all the leg work before we even arrived each time so we didn't have to sit through a long day or days. Brakes and Bearing

Brought my 2011 Buick Regal in.....it was making a loud grinding sound. Needed front brakes and a new wheel bearing. Wilkins fixed in one day (and teh bearing was covered under warranty!). Great service from Sandy (he took the time to drive with me to listen to the sound and see the steering wheel vibrate). Extremely pleasant guy. Turned out his diagnosis was right on. Had some other work done and the bill was over $900 (but they honored a $40 coupon after-the-fact). Car is running great. I felt I was treated fairly. No question I'll be bringing the car again there in the future for maintenance (I really like how well Buick honors its warranty).

Horrible SERVICE Damage caused from Employee

Took my Buick Encore in to have a Oil change and tire rotation. The total wait time was over 1 hour, when it was time to leave no one told me the vehicle was ready. It sat in the service bay for a good minutes. Until I inquired about my vehicle being finished. To top this visit off NOT ONE PERSON mention to me that an EMPLOYEE had ran my car into something or back into my car with another vehicle.. TOTALLY unacceptable for a dealer to approve of this type of destruction to your person property. Per the service Director (Robert) this is expected to happen with vehicle at Wilkins because they move vehicles in and out all day.. When I took my Vehicle back to have the Damage fixed on it, I asked for a loaner car the Vehicle they gave me was a 2014 GMC Terrian. This vehicle was absolutely disgusting inside and out.. Apparently they never cleaned the car it had trash throughout the car, and not to mention food inside the seats fries cup marks on the dash board,and a gas tank that was almost empty. I was told my vehicle would be ready on Wednesday and I would receive a call from letting me know this. All day long I waited for a call finally I decided to call around 4:45. To make a long story short the work that was suppose to be performed on my Buick Encore was Not Performed, however they tried to say it was the marks were just waxed or touched up with paint, and they tried to bend my license plate back into shape. I did speak with the General Manager Bruce who is trying to rectify the issues. Please be aware of your vehicle and check it over before leaving the dealership....

garbage mechanic

I have a 2010 terrain. It has 115,000 easy highway miles. I have had all scheduled maintenance. Recently my oil pressure light came on and immediately I heard banging from the engine. I stopped the vehicle and had it towed to the dealer. After being charged for a diagnostic, I was told they don't know what's wrong with the vehicle or what caused it, just that it needs a new engine costing me $7,300. If a terrain will only last 115,000 miles, it's garbage to me.

BAD SERVICE!!! BAD MECHANIC!!!

We brought our 2011 GMC Yukon Denali to Wilkins Buik-GMC because it lost all of it's coolant and overheated. They could not figure out why it lost all its coolant and simply filled it up and said it's fixed. When I inquired further as to why/how it was gone, they responded with "I don't know." There was no desire to try to truly diagnose the problem, instead they chose to simply address the symptoms. Furthermore, Greg, our service adviser was extremely rude to my wife and me both on the phone and in person. He would not let my wife speak on the phone and raised his voice many times when speaking to her. He tried to charge me for diagnostics that where not performed and should have been under warranty anyway. Finally, When I picked up the car it was parked in the back of the lot, dirty inside and out, grease on the steering wheel, and the radio was turned up very loud. I don't feel like they treated my vehicle with any respect. Every other dealership I have EVER dealt with has a level of service well above what I got at Wilkins. I give reviews for good and bad service so this is not just a random slam because they made me mad. I will never go back to this dealership and I suggest that anyone else looking for service for their GM vehicle look elsewhere. This is the WORST dealership service experience I have ever had.

interest rate bait and switch

talked to the internet salesman, i was told that the inerest rate for all 2012 acadia vehicles was 0% for 72 months. when i arrived at the dealership, the another salesman told us that the 0% 72 only applied to 2011 models. they only had one and it had 5900 miles on it. the sales manager never came out from his cubical to apologize!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
