Dealership Discriminates Against Cancer Survivor
Dealership Discriminates Against Cancer Survivor" My wife is in clinical remission. I wanted to buy her a preowned Volvo convertible to celebrate ther amazing and successful battle against cancer. The used car salesperson would not accept a deposit to hold the car until I could come home from my business trip to place my name on the bill of sales. We agreed that my wife would come in the next morning and pay for the car but I would sign the papers at the end of the week. When I told him she had had cancer, his attitude changed and his entire demeanor changed. That night he sold the car to someone else even after agreeing to meet her in the morning. I have all the text messages to prove the agreement between us. The sales manager was rude when I called to speak my displeasure. He could care less. But more unfortunate is the owner who is a "Kidd" l, would do nothing to intervene. I asked her to honor her salesperson's commitment. She said they wouldn't have been in business all these years if they weren't fair to their customers. When I shared to her that this was a celebratory gift for my wife being in remission ... She told me that sometimes these things happen and she could not do anything about the mistake. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THE DEALERSHIP to send the message that their treatment is straight up cold and uncaring.
Bill Kidd's Volvo service on 7/19/2016
I've been serviced by Bill Kidd's Volvo on 7/19/2016. Dean Marino is always doing great job. I scheduled appointment by phone as he suggested, he explained the problem and gave a time estimate. On the appointment time everything went as planned and my car was returned on expected time and in a good condition. I appreciate the complementary wash as well.
Bill Kidds Volvo
Our salesman Wayne was very easy to work with and extremely helpful. The rest of the staff was very friendly and not pushy when it came to some of the add-ons they offer. They were also very good at working with us to give us everything we wanted for the price we wanted it.
Great service at Bill Kidd's Volvo
We were shopping for an SUV in 2008 and looked everywhere and visited the service departments as well because we had three kids and time and service was important. We had a great sales experience with Paul and Silvan, honest, fast, simple, everything you would want and drove home in an XC90. The real difference at Bill Kidd's is the service department. We have had a truly exceptional experience with the service department over 6 years, from oil changes to tires or just a bulb change. Everyone has been great but "Volvo Bob" G stands out. Recently, at 80,000 miles the red coolant light came on for my wife who was running errands and picking up kids. I was out of town and was only available for a moment by phone. I told my wife to call Bob and he'll take care of everything. Sure enough, Bob took care of everything. He got the car in, immediately arranged a temporary loaner and had the car looked over. Later in the day it was determined it would need to be in for a few days and my wife should come back in later in the day and get a better Volvo loaner. While the work was being done communication has been great. It's great to have total confidence in someone and a car dealer. Everyone has been great, from the parts counter to the cashier. This is why we get all of our service done at Bill Kidd's. Oil changes are not more expensive and are done correctly, tires are competitively priced, and most importantly we have the right people doing a great job and standing behind their work. Everyone wants the best price on a car but doesn't realize how important the service department is to owning a car. We've had a great relationship with Bill Kidd's. Thanks Volvo Bob!
First Volvo Service

Bill Kidd purchase experience
Over the years, I have purchased 7 volvos from Bill Kidds. Each time its been with Wayne as the sales man and Paul as the GM. I've gone into other dealership considering other makes and models and always come back to Wayne and Paul because I know I can trust them to give me the best deal and most honest information about the vehicle and financial terms.
I hope my experience can help others avoid extreme frustration when looking to buy a new vehicle. First step - do not go to Bill Kidd's. In very short summary.... Within 1 day of purchasing my certified used vehicle from Bill Kidd's, I had to go back to have the driver's seat replaced. Within 3 months of ownership, I have had to go in for service 5 times! My reply from the used car manager was "I cannot guaranty that vehicles driven off my lot will not encounter problems," and left it at that. No apology for our troubles, and no offer to assist us. Truly felt like the prototypical used car dealer, as they could care less about the problems we had with the vehicle (since they already had our money). I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. They are very nice when you are looking to buy a vehicle, but their post sale customer service is horrendous (if you have problems with the vehicle). The customer relationship ends when they receive your check. With so many other Toyota dealership around, it is definitely not worth taking a chance with Bill Kidd's.
